For sure. More recently Ive also seen people get up when seat belt sign is on and then the captain is having to telk people get back in your seat for your safety.

I do hope it encourages people to keep their belts on. I understand on long flights 10 hours plus it can be tough keeping belt on for that long though

thing is that it's not. unless you're a large chap, there's enough give to the belt to enable you to sit and watch a film not even realising you're wearing it.

Yeah I am shocked that anyone would choose Leipzig instead of the glamour ties that we all wanted to qualify for.

They would be the very last team I would choose.

as i said in my post the 'glamour' ties will come to VP in the knockouts anyway

but to get to the knockout stage i prefer to have the favourable draw. if possible, avoid the play off round entirely

Yes. I hate flying as it is  i do wonder though if they had known about the turbulence and seat belt sign had been on if there would have been a casualties  ( i think i read poor fellow had a heart attack)

From reading it was one of those rare freak ones that there was no way of knowing the rough turbulence was happening.

I always have my belt on even when seat belt sign is not on as i get para if something were to happen like a big ampunt of turbulence it will fling me up

every flight i've ever been on that gets recommended in the captain's announcement. maybe this incident will encourage folks to actually do it in the future

Damn, they all look like nerdy boys too. Wouldn’t of expected them to be lippy and trying on fights

sat behind them at a game this season and there was a lot of aggressive gesturing to the away fans throughout the game (the others, not max) and generally just seemed very negative and moany

not had any personal run ins with them or anything that was just my only experience of them

  5. i'm very much of the mindset that i want the easiest set of fixtures that gets us to the next round. real madrid, bayern, barca etc etc will end up coming to VP in the knockouts anyway. let's just get to the next round

    so i voted leipzig

Ozzy is a Villa fan. Not as fanatical as Geezer but a Villa fan nonetheless.

    thanks. never knew for sure.

probably drifitng off topic but got a feeling tony iommi is a bluenose...not sure where i got that from though

  7. not really a problem that needs fixing is it? i don't see crazy train going anywhere anytime soon. OK, it's not a sabbath song and it's up for debate whether ozzy is a villa fan (he doesn't mention us in his book...actually think he was just always too wrecked to care about football)

  8. big shout out to the slam dunk festival organisers remediating the issues they had last year. brilliantly organised festival helped by the weather of course

thoughts with those attending the leeds one today in a thunderstorm

50% of the population have average or below average intelligence

i guess it's not so much intelligence as it is blind faith in a party you've voted for all your life. people support them with the loyalty they do their football team.

would never happen but i'd love to see a questionnaire style voting system. you answer questions based on your values and what's important to you (akin to the who should i vote for websites) and you're presented with the parties you're eligible to vote for

the old racists would still end up with the reforms or tories but it would at least take away some of the "i've voted tory all my life" voters

not that it is likely matter this time around of course.

The Sun and Times usually switch when it looks utterly hopeless for the tories. They might not necessarily back Labour but I can't see them giving Sunak a ringing endorsement.  Mail, Express and Telegraph are true blue. Though nowadays not sure how important a paper backing a political party is given the circulation figures. A social influencer is probably more important now.

i definitely remember the sun backing labour once upon a time. as you say, they just jumped on the bandwagon. horrid little rag.

I could happily just stay at the Go Pro stage all day, not a bad lineup, then there's about 4 acts I've ever heard of across the other stages :D

i'll be on the monster stage all day but plan to catch the red jumpsuit apparatus in between bands on the go pro stage!
