  1. Does anyone know the attendance from Sunday? I can't find it in the different match reports.
  2. My son and I are traveling from Denmark to for the match, so I hope for a reasonable effort and three points. And especially a defense that can keep Rasmus Højlund from scoring! I hope Pau Torres is ready for 90 minutes. Then we should be ok. In my first game at Villa Park we lost 0-2, also to Man U. Hopefully it will not be repeated on Sunday. See you at Villa Park - #UTV
  3. On my next trip to Villa Park we're flying to Manchester. If I go to www.nationalrail.co.uk and search for a train journey from Manchester Airport to New Street Station on Saturday morning, I get a journey where I have to change train in Crewe. The total trip costs £54.40. There's a departure from the airport at 09.01 and arrival in Birmingham at 10.48. If I split the trip in two, the result is different. Still I get a departure from Manchester Airport at 09.01 with arrival in Crewe at 09.39 and that ticket costs £5.90. If I search for the second part of the journey, I get a departure from Crewe at 09.49 and again with arrival in Birmingham at 10.48 and a ticket costs £16. So a total price of £21.90. It's less than half of what it costs if I buy a ticket for the whole trip at once. Am I missing something here?
  4. Are there other football teams/stadiums in or around Birmingham worth traveling for? My son and I are coming to Birmingham for the match against Manchester United and are landing in Manchester on Saturday morning so we can catch an extra match on Saturday. Crewe Alexandra in League Two is an option because Crewe is perfectly located on the train line from Manchester to Birmingham, but maybe there's something better. I've previously seen Walsall in League One and have also been to Molineux for both Premier League and Championship matches, so it must be a different team/stadium. Thank you.
  5. Happy New Year! Are there any parcel boxes / mailboxes in the city centre where you can have a parcel sent to and then collect it yourself from the box? I'm going to Birmingham later this year and would like to buy some books. As they are old / used books, I will - if possible - order them in advance and then collect them from a parcel box. I once ordered a package from Amazon which I picked up from their own parcel box in Bull Ring, but is there a similar box that can be used by all?
  6. Thank you. We're staying in a hotel in the city centre. So I think we'll just start to walk. I've done it alone twice before - then we'll find a taxi if it's to long to walk all the way.
  7. What do other people do after the game when the trains are not running? I come from Denmark and have my son with me, so we stay around Villa Park after the game – visit the shop etc. Is it possible to get a taxi, or does it work with Uber (we don't have Uber in Denmark), if we wait maybe 45-60 minutes after the match?
  8. I live in Denmark and have been an Aston Villa supporter since the late 80's when Kent Nielsen played for the club. He's also a coach in Silkeborg, where I live. I've seen 49 games with Aston Villa - the game against Spurs the day after tomorrow will be number 50! Now my eldest boy has also started going to Villa Park. The game on Saturday is his third visit. I'm married, have two boys and work as an IT supporter.
