From their forum
"Zublue
If I had a choice of Blues staying up and Vile winning cup or Blues going down and Vile getting knocked out, I would seriously take the 2nd option. Dirty villa Bastards."
And there we are ladies and gentlemen. The reason they will forever be in our shadow.

It’s not as we’ve been winning anything, last two trophies were similar with what you said.
We’re not in a point to underestimate any possible trophy. Actually even the regular top teams are now trying to win cups (much stronger sides than before 5-10 years). If Chelsea made it to the Conference they’ll play to win it, even though they had recent success with CL and Europa as well.
And it’s not that or that, we do our best in each competition and see what comes.
Especially with what we’re doing, a trophy would help us continue, people say look at West Ham, Leicester…etc
Leicester had a great success even after they won the league, they won a cup and failed twice CL, but haven’t won a cup in Europe. They had management issues and was affected by some sad events, so can’t really compare. Add to that, they changed the management..etc
West Ham won but without having q progressive football to build on, they had Moyes who’s playing classic football which might get some short term success.
What Villa is doing is gradual improvement, however, winning things will always help. Ofcourse a CL appearance would help but trophies will be memories and will also have a different effect.
I’m still hopeful of a historical comeback from Greece. Winning a cup this season will make pressure even less next season.
I agree. And we have nothing to fear in Greece. Another learning curve at the very least.

"Think we should go for Ange mate. Be great mate. I'd love it mate.
He'd definitely come mate, Tom Brady and that mate.
Think of all the mates he could bring mate.
Mate.
Mate."

Villa on the verge of Champions League qualification.
Some Villa fans: sell our central midfield, including the captain who's been with us from the Championship.
Our so called rivals have a game to stay in the Championship this weekend. We can secure Champions League same weekend.
They were above us until that clearing in the woods hit Jack. That was 5 years ago?
McGinn is one of the reasons why that's the case. A club legend already.
Perspective.

Pure class this lad. This experience can only be good for him.
WC 26 squad? Why not?

Big clubs lose semi finals regularly.
Small clubs don't get there very often.
Get used to it I say. If we lose thisz and we haven't yet, we will be back for more next year.
What we have achieved this season is incredible. Turns out the ECL isnt full of part times after all.
This was a huge step for us.
Getting there and ahead of schedul seems to be ruffling feathers.
Let's keep calm and carry on.

We all know Liverpool will beat us. That's inevitable.
Is it bollocks. That's the one out the three I am most confident in.

It's only half time. With 90 mins to go and the world's best manager in charge.

His always the one to blame when his playing and we loose never our midfield or defence who go missing or give away cheap goals.
I'd stay away from the Dougie thread if I were you...

Wouldn't shock me if his dip in form is related to the summer. Maybe he is leaving.
Also he does miss Kamara
Doesn't shock me that someone would ay such a ridiculous thing either.
Yes, his form has dipped and yes, he may leave in the summer, but let's put the pitch forks away ffs.

So one more win takes us 70 percent there, a win and a draw probably 90 percent, 2 wins guarantees it.
Betfair are offering 1/50. Skybet 1/16 on Villa top 4.
Place your bets...

Just book our ideas up on Sunday and this will be all but done. Can't be too much to ask.
Genuinely don't think we need another point. But yeah, let's finish it on Sunday.

If there's one thing you'd say about pep and this man city team it's that they're mentally weak and will be on the beach no matter what...
This is madness, man city will be well up for it and will be the freshest fittest team in the league still
Seeing as apparently man utd, Newcastle, Chelsea were all on the brink of it happening might as well wheel out the claim that spurs are about to start a winning streak...
Can we please keep the Man C115y chat to their own thread?

When we are debating whether or not practically qualifying for the Champions League but losing the 1st leg of a European semi final is a good day or not, we know we are on the right track.
UTFV!
(BTW, it's done. Spurs will be lucky to catch us with 4 games in hand never mind 1)

Even if Spurs win tonight, a win at Brighton makes it 7 points ahead with us having 2 games left and them with 4.
Wouldn't fancy Liverpool away, but we will do them at home.
I think it's done tbh.
(And that's IF they win at Chelsea)

Can't say much about this until after tomorrow's game, as we don't know form or injuries which is quite a big deal.
Especially as we seem to pick up so many in game injuries this season.
Lets hope we get through tomorrow unscathed then we can plan for this game as it's gonna be huge.

I'm sure Burnley v Wolves will pack out pubs and bars of Lansing, Michigan before the inevitable scramble for match tickets.

You think that us beating Liverpool at Villa Park is so unbelievable that the mere suggestion of it requires a lie down?
Really?
