Just now, Leeroy said:
Our only options off the bench are Cash and Moreno and maybe Duran.
Zaniolo seemingly injured again despite playing all of 10 minutes the other night.
To come on, run around like a bull in a china shop and get booked?
Yeah we need that.

And Gauci, Kellyman, Duran definite keeps imo. Iroegbunam debatable
Duran and Tim I would sell, Kellyman I would send on loan. Maybe Gaucci too.
But that isn't for this thread.
Either way the bench is shockingly poor today.

Not even Moreno?
Maybe. He is in his 30's now and whilst not the worst on that bench, hasn't had a good season after his injury.

That may be the worst bench for some years. Cash aside, I wouldn't have any of them at the club next season.

Need to defend well and hope they don't get any corners or free kicks near the box. Hopefully give Olsen nothing to do and certainly nothing that requires any organisation.
This is the worst news possible as it means we may be without Emi in Greece. Meaning we are out.
Let's hope he is being rested!

Southampton aren't playing Norwich? Or at least not yet anyway. I'm just talking about the semi-final.
Ah got ya. Still not Leeds tho please.

I don't.
I rather enjoyed the seasons between 1987-88 and 2002/03 when we didn't meet them in the league at all. In 1988-89 and 1993-94 we did play them 4 times in the League Cup (beating them home and away twice). and that was quite enough for me. Hopefully they will have to "Mind the Gap" for as long this time, if not for considerably longer.
Yep. The best thing about today, is that it means at LEAST another year added to the years we won't have to play them again.
They are too hate filled to have a proper rivalry with. They froth at the mouth at the mere thought of us. It's beyond football and I genuinely don't see that level of hate and envy anywhere else. Not even with the Old Firm.
We have the worst local neighbours in the country in that regard.

I'm genuinely going to support Leeds I think, can't quite believe it but I can't want these guys rewarded or to see them in the PL next season.
That's going a bit too far.
F*** Leeds.
Southampton for me.

I vaguely remember a 0-0 draw with them
I remember going to that game at Portman Road. I remember the whole day, except the game itself. I remember absolutely nothing from the time we left the pub to getting back on the coach.
I'm pretty sure it was the most boring Villa game I've been to.
Still, only 3 months to wait until our inevitable opening game of the season at newly promoted Ipswich.

Dull as dishwater.
Yet people apparently still watch them.
Man C115y about to win yet another title with Haaland another golden boot yet some rival fans, instead of being angry about them cheating, are busy wanking themselves senseless about how good they are.
These cheating bastards make it all seem pointless. We are all just going through the motions whilst they rob us of any real chance of success.
And people watch them doing it. Even applaud them doing it.
They are the worst thing to happen to football. And that says a lot.

Same. It's exceptionally annoying.

Can we claw back 2 goals and get through to the final?
Depends what happens against Brighton regarding injuries etc.

They are predicting regular sell outs and average crowds of 23k plus. In League 1.
Would they even get that in the PL?
Their owners are performing some Derren Brown mind style ticks on these morons. Wagner is an unmitigated disaster, starting with his appointments of Cook and Rooney.
And they love him for it!
The Emperors New Clothes.

From SHA regarding winning the Bristol Street Motors Trophy:
"Proceed on with being the most successful west midlands club in recent years."
Wtf? Lol
-
The season they were sponsored by Undefeated, they get relegated. Almost as ironic as the Trillion Trophy stadium.
Why do they make it so easy for us? LOL

They have been mocking us for losing (half) a European semi final for the last few days. Next season, they will enter the newly branded "Bristol Street Motors Trophy", whilst we are playing Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
Their owners are clueless chancers, feeding them bullshit fantasies whilst managing to make decisions so poor, that they took a team in the top 6 to relegation.
Meanwhile, the manager they sacked when they were 6th, keeps Blackburn up at their expense.
Even the Chinese hairdresser or the last bunch of frauds didn't manage that.
They think they will break the League 1 points total. I think they will struggle to make the play offs.
Has the gap between us ever been bigger? Surely it can't have been.

You think that us beating Liverpool at Villa Park is so unbelievable that the mere suggestion of it requires a lie down?
Really?

From their forum
"Zublue
If I had a choice of Blues staying up and Vile winning cup or Blues going down and Vile getting knocked out, I would seriously take the 2nd option. Dirty villa Bastards."
And there we are ladies and gentlemen. The reason they will forever be in our shadow.

It’s not as we’ve been winning anything, last two trophies were similar with what you said.
We’re not in a point to underestimate any possible trophy. Actually even the regular top teams are now trying to win cups (much stronger sides than before 5-10 years). If Chelsea made it to the Conference they’ll play to win it, even though they had recent success with CL and Europa as well.
And it’s not that or that, we do our best in each competition and see what comes.
Especially with what we’re doing, a trophy would help us continue, people say look at West Ham, Leicester…etc
Leicester had a great success even after they won the league, they won a cup and failed twice CL, but haven’t won a cup in Europe. They had management issues and was affected by some sad events, so can’t really compare. Add to that, they changed the management..etc
West Ham won but without having q progressive football to build on, they had Moyes who’s playing classic football which might get some short term success.
What Villa is doing is gradual improvement, however, winning things will always help. Ofcourse a CL appearance would help but trophies will be memories and will also have a different effect.
I’m still hopeful of a historical comeback from Greece. Winning a cup this season will make pressure even less next season.
I agree. And we have nothing to fear in Greece. Another learning curve at the very least.

No but I just read that we "are terrified of what's coming and that a Championship, Bristol Street Motors Double with an opn top bus parade will ignite their rise. Whilst da Vile still don't win anything."
I mean, levels of delusion there. Like winning the 3rd division tops playing in the Champions League.
