Yet again Aston Villa football club being very professional about the whole thing. What a complete load of bollocks, we were about to break our transfer record in January for Nico Williams but he chose to stay. Emery wouldn't have come to us on the understanding there's no money, he may as well stayed in Spain, all the noise around the club is this is going to be a big summer transfer window & the club want to push on into those European places. There are reasons he has had a change of mind & it isn't money. Reading between the lines is that Jordy Cruyff has left his position, maybe they didn't get on & Alemany had enough, Alemany wanted a different transfer policy, club want Messi back & that would undo all Alemany good work upto now, maybe Barcelona have had second thoughts about Messi & have promised to follow the route Alemany wanted in 1st place, could be absolutely anything, but what I do see is this is nothing on our part that we've done, this is all on Barcelona & Alemany & it definitely ain't nothing to do we have no money. We move on. 

Still on a journey, were not where we want to be yet so there is going to be bumps in the road, who knows what impact he would of had, we move on & move on to option B

Yeah true it's amazing isn't it such an amazing player in his time, if we could get half the player he was back then, then that would help us specially if we made Europe. Ffs if Willian can still do it at 34 at Fulham surely Emery could get a tune out of him if he stayed fit. Suppose that's the issue the injuries because before his last injury he looked lively specially when he came on against Man city

The romantic in me says he comes off the bench in the last 2 games & wins the games for us, & with other teams slipping up fires us into the Europa league. He then stays next season & helps us win the Europa league under Unai Emery & that puts us in the Champions league my head says we won't see him again in a Villa shirt & he leaves in the summer to Saudi Arabia

Originally was on loan at Spurs 2019 before they paid £27 million in 2020 think it was a 5 year deal as he has 2 years left on his contract. Out on loan at moment as not needed so anything between £10 & £15 million would be sensible fee nearly 50 caps for his country, would add depth to the midfield, but guessing Levy would be asking for around £50 Million

The synic in me says VAR is only there to have control & manipulate results depending on the teams & predicament those teams are in. The other side of me says VAR is a complete shambles, I'd rather have a ref make a mistake like it used to be, than 5 people in a VAR room with multiple TV monitors all make the same mistake. It's fecking embarrassing & also the fact they are not allowed to come out after event to explain there decisions, just complete silence.

More & more I think about this, could this be the other striker we're after I know Barca played him as a winger, but his best stuff was at Man city where he was more central. Also could mean we're still after Marco Asensio as a number 10 (playmaker) imagine both them out our club

I personally think he's at his best in the second striker / false 9 role. When he was playing there for City he was superb. He's that versatile forward we need. Alemany knows him incredibly well obviously as he came through at Valencia and then Alemany brought him to Barca. 

He's only just turned 23, he's not done as well at Barca as I would have expected but that's probably why he's available for transfer. Feels like a player we need in the position we need. He has 15 goals in 35 international appearances for Spain too. Emery would relish having him and improving him

Totally agree a number 10 is his best position, he can play out wide & is defo an upgrade on what we have out wide & is an upgrade on Beundia, be interesting what happens to Coutinho if Torres does come in, also interesting we are linked with Marco Asensio of Madrid who also is a 2nd striker type player a number 10. Really am having to pinch myself with the links to some of these players, it's eye watering
