I think a major £ sign protest has its rewards, the last time we had a good £ sign protest we got Angel. It's been proven in time that this was a good thing, Another strong protest would hopefully bring about the same reaction from Ellis this time. Although it wouldn't solve the major problem, it would at least please DO'L and keep him happy short-term. I'd also go along with this.

I'm not trying to start an arguement, but didn't the Beattie money just turn up with about a week left to the window closing, i remember DO'L making quotes about being suprised that he had more money to spend as all summer we argued over a few 100k with Nantes for Berson and DO'L was told he was on a tight budget but then doug found 6mill down the back of a sofa in the executives lounge.

surely nowhere near that high i remember at the time of his loan to wolves they said they paid around 500k, thus there was alot of expectation for him to perform.

There is no question it has to be Crouch, I'll have fond memories of Crouch although he looked like a stick insect he is infact a good footballer, i remember being in the chat room last season for the leicester away game, everyone was goin mad when we beat them, crouch and darius scored two each i think. Ah, Good times. and now we have CC, i really think DO'L slipped up on this one, i wouldn't mind so much if he was a proven talent ie. we signed morientes on loan (not gonna happen now/ever). but for the fact he is a kid the same age as Stefan and probably not as skillfull as Luke so why pay for a years loan and then leave our kids to get bit parts when they could of earned important experience while DV was out injured. After all Cole couldn't hack it in Divison 1 with Wolves, he also had disaplinery problems there too, as well as at Charlton. I don't even think selling Crouch and signing Cole made much sense financially, i can see us making about 1 million from the deals. I'm guessing we have to pay Chelsea the priveladge of having Cole, 1mill i guess plus his wages. Then we only sold Crouch for 2mill+. Many Thanks, Tom

You didn't have that sand pit of a penalty spot in the options. I really feel gutted tonight, not so much because england lost but because it was once again a villa man missing a penalty. Lets hope Vassell is stronger for this. I hope DO'L and Aitkin get on the blower, and give Vass a good talking to, and make sure he's ok.
