  1. RB- Micah Richards

    RW - Shaun Wright Phillips/Milner/Beckham

    LW - Pedersen/Govou

    DM - Appiah/Gattuso/Hargreaves

    CF - Darren Bent/Klose/Crouch/Toni

Might not get some of them I know, but why not try?

    ain't Micah Richards a Brummie?

Milner over Wright-Phillips and Beckham for me.

Govou's a RW too but Would love Gamst Pederson,

DM = Dreamland apart from Appiah.

CF= i think Darren Bent is a real possibility, especailly given Charlton's terrible start. Crouch, Klose and Toni all out of reach. (this season :winkold: )

  2. I think sony will be the big loser, mostly in europe. The Wii will make up some ground due to the fact that they're gonna get a head start on europe.

I personally thought we'd see alot of Sony bashing for the way they've treated europe, but i haven't read that much at all.

I'm a Nintendo fanboy, and i couldn't careless about the other consoles, my eventually invest in a Modded 360 but don't think i'll be buying another Sony product since the PSP has let me down so much.

  3. I've heard it's likely to be around £30 mill, minus whatever the club couldn't cover for Petrov.

i'd like to see a Centre Forward to put preasure on/as back up for Angel,

    also cover/replacement for McCann,

and a couple of wide attacking players to cover/replace Gabby and Luke or give us the option of 4-4-2.

then if anymore money left over i think the fullbacks and GK positions could be looked at.

I also don't think it'd be a bad thing to cash in on Baros. think he's our 2nd most saleable asset minus the kids and i think he's the player least likely to fit into our new system.

  4. Sorry guys but I'll have to go for a Newcastle win, the way our midfield performed tonight was class, they never got a shot on goal, well i haven't seen any highlights, but not from where i was, no shots.

We have officially signed Martins, and he will be featuring against yous this Sunday. I think Barry will play a big part. But a win for the Toon.

Your having a laugh, I'm not afraid of any of your forwards (all two of them)

2-0 or 3-1 to the Villa.

I hope we stuff the barcoded rocket polishers.

  5. Tom, i was just saying that have a good midfield which they do.

I for one would want Parker,Duff,Emre and Milner for starters.

I have not seen them play this season.

Sure i'd like a couple of them if not all of them in my squad but i think people need to look at the bigger picture, they can't finish for shit.

They jst drew with an amatuer Latvian side at home, they're best effort was a milner free kick off the underside of the bar with 8 minute left.

i can't stress enough that Martins will not be the answer to they're striker problems.

  6. All your comments have pissed me off no end, have any of you watched them lately?

we can all swoon over they're 'wondeferful' midfield but **** me, they were garbage tonight, N'Zogbia-Parker-Emre-Duff but they with having Milner and Luque up front they had no one in the middle.

Luque and Milner would pick the ball up and head for the bi-line, they ended up looking for someone in the middle only to realise there wasn't any **** in there cause they were supposed to be there.

It was hopeless stuff. with our 'average' midfield we'll beat them or at least should beat them.

Glenn Roeder i hope will get them relegated,

I hope he knows that Martins couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo in italy, he's basically another winger.

  7. We should beat those **** Barcodes,

Watched them tonight and they were **** awful, they played four wingers with Milner and Luque as the 'out and out' strikers.

With the crowd behind the team and newcastle having no end product, we'll get another 3 points.

  8. just noticed posted by 'Damian' on Aston Villa Blog website....is he legit??

""Have the AV06 consortium spoken to Mr O'Neill? I'll ask next time I speak to Mr Padfield but it's important for me, as a supporter, to believe that whoever gains control is doing it for football reasons and everything we know about both parties right now is pure speculation; how do we know who is best for Aston Villa?

I've spoken to Mr Padfield today and he can confirm that AV06 are 'keen to outbid Mr Lerner' and he's pretty sure that Mr Lerner 'hasn't budgeted for any transfers'. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised as by the time he would gain control of the club the transfer window will be closed.

That's not a negative remark against Mr Padfield as he also confirmed they wouldn't be able to spend until January, but that also leaves plenty of time for Mr Lerner to put together a transfer budget for Mr O'Neill in January.

Mr Padfield has spoken to a couple of Aston Villa fans, who will remain nameless as I don't think they've told anyone of their conversation, but I will say one thing and that is he was confident of his position and his wish to take Aston Villa forward.

He also confirmed that the fans would have a voice if he gained control and he knew we've never had that under Mr Ellis; so he's saying the right things and from what I understood things could happen very soon.

The question is, would AV06 be better for Aston Villa than Mr Lerner and the answer, I'm afraid to say is, none of us will ever know because only one of them will gain control and that will come down to who wants it the most.

Also, with a bit of luck that should be the best outcome for Aston Villa, or atleast we all hope it will be!

    ...anyone know of him??

One thing that strikes me, is why would padfield speak to someone like Damian, any self-respecting villa fan knows his site is tosh, so to speak to him would be madness.

  9. Damian = Damian Dugdale - he claims to be the nephew of Sir William Dugdale, he used to live in South Africa and now he lives in Sweden

I don't think my personal opinion of him would be fair to put on here, I also don't want a card

What has he been saying now Bicks?

  10. You just get the feeling the the Lerner deal has been done, well, properly.

    I feel that too,

I really don't think either Neville nor Padfield really have a takeover as well planned as Lerners.

I wouldn't want an Abramavich style takeover, jst throwing money at the team, we need the whole infastructure of the club rebuilt, Lerner's bid outlines this.

Can Neville and Padfield's team put in a bid as complete as Lerner's in less time?

I think Lerner has the majority of fan backing too, AV06 and Neville have not endered themselves to the fans by constantly coming out with statements to the press. We've had a chairman for 38 years who liked the sound of his own voice we don't need a new owner to do the same.

Anybody notice that as soon as Bill Howell returns from where ever he's been (someones arse) the Evening Mail starts putting out aload of Bollox article, Graham Hill did some very steady journalism last week (i bet Howell isn't allowed out of the country).

Howell's AV06 article is immensly flawed, i wish someone would boot him in the bollox and releive him of his duties at the Evening Mail.

  11. For all those who are worried let me tell you the thought that I hold onto.

    Martin O'Neill.

    1. He must want the taleover as much as us

    2. He wouldn't have joined unless it was haoppening/had happened (effectively)

Good point richard, i'll do that everytime doubt creeps into my mind, MON is far to clever to have joined us with the prospect of Ellis staying on.

  12. Taken From This Article on SportingLife

Meanwhile, Villa have been holding a board meeting relating to the annual financial figures although the takeover of the club is also likely to have been under review.

American billionaire Randy Lerner is poised to make a formal bid in the next couple of days although the consortium fronted by Michael Neville believe they are still in contention.

  13. By the way just read a very interesting story about Neville , i say interesting but the word should be shocking .

Neville has "supposedly" aproached Leaner and said "pay me off and i'll withdraw my bid " .

The more i read about Neville the more i hate him , anybody else read this ?? i believe its from the Telegraph

i find the rumours about him being willing to pull out if someone was to cover his costs very, very worring. Jst the fact a rumour like this exists is reason alone not to support his bid.

  14. I keep hearing suggestion he flew into Luton ???

Luton, then flew back to the US ??

He did fly into Luton for one day only, friday. It' seems like a very odd coincidence that he flys to england the day we appoint our new manager and he leaves the same day as our new manager is due to fly out to meet his squad.

As for Neville, i find the rumours about him being willing to pull out if someone was to cover his costs very, very worring. Jst the fact a rumour like this exists is reason alone not to support his bid.
