  1. I'll say it now and I'll say it honestly - I would gladly take a 0-0 on Sunday.

They're certainly no mugs at home so far this season. A point away from home is always a good point in my book. Every season we're in the same division I always think "draw at theirs, beat them at ours". And its no different this season as far as I'm concerned.

Any talk of us crushing them is just pie in the sky. It'll be a draw, or one goal in it either way tops.

They are leaking goals left right and centre, 5 goals in their last 2 games. They simply aren't as resilient as they were when they first came up, and they have a lot of naive players in their side, inexperienced.

    We can take them.

  2. 7. Finally, I would like to give an opinion on something...NOT as a Director of the Club or in an official manner but as a person who loves the Villa. A few months ago, a comment was blown all out of proportion and caused some people some real angst. My professional reputation was up for grabs as people and the media weighed in on the issue. I recognize that nothing can be done about it. At the same time, as we approach the game this weekend, I would hate to see the Villa Fans get caught up in some sort actions or words that would raise this again. It is below who we are and who we want to be. We have much to cheer and chant about...keeping focused on the game and the team would seem to me the best way to go.

    General

You had nothing whatsoever to apologise for to that shower down the road. As far as I am concerned those comments were taken completely out of context.

PS: Are you going to be sitting with the Villa fans next Sunday - I;d like to buy you a pint!

  3. Druids are a pain to play.

They do everything but not great at anything.

    1) They heal but unless you are resto spec its not as good as priest or a shammy

    2) They tank but are a pretty basic tank

    3) The cat form is a rogue but with not many of the abilities.

Balance druids aren't as good as mages.

Some of the best abilities only work outdoors.

I only stuck with him as I was in the 40's when I realised there are better classes.

I am next going for my rogue on TM.

  4. Locks hammered yet again.

Significant buffs to other classes will hurt us badly(Fear Ward, Arcane Shot, Mortal Strike), Affliction Survivability nailed because Demonology is powerful in 2v2.

Think its the end of the road for me. I refuse to play a game that is balanced by forum campaigns organised by 14 year old kids.

Admit it Nays - Locks are (or have been ) ridiculously over powered! I have yet to win a duel with one my level or even 2 lvls lower!

  5. ^^Plenty of blues in there Ali. Looks fine to me for your level.

Are you in Outland now? As a level 59 you will notice your gear greatly improves after a bit of questing there.

I'll add your Rogue to my friends list. Why an Orc Rogue btw? Would a BELF or UD be a better choice? Maybe Dan would be the best to answer that one.

I like Orcs. Are Undead/Elves better for that class then? I haven't ventured into outlands yet, simply because I have to finish quests in the Plaguelands and Silithus (I want my rep to go up with the Cenarion Hold).

  6. What has MON done for us except a mid-table finish and a couple of dodogy transfer market buys, and a defeat to pretty ordinary Man City.

When we get only a point or a loss to Everton people will start realising he isn't all that.

And I still don't see what MON has achieved except for a few poxy titles in Scotland where Petrov looked a player?

    :?

  7. I disagree. I dont think it proves your great at management when you spend 10 x the amount the other teams spend.

Ranieri spent a vast amount of cash and won f*ck all, Mourinho comes in and with a couple of additions, wins the PL at a canter.

  8. Meh, what Jose did at Chelsea a monkey could have done. Takes zero skill to buy all the best players in the world and throw them on a pitch.

No it takes skill to take a team and give them back to back PL titles with the best defence and win all the other domestic trophies. If it were that easy and took zero skill there would be a lot more successful managers.

  9. I honestly don't think Jose is THAT good. He would attract players and has a huge reputation, but he was basically given a ridiculous transfer kitty at a time when no-one else could compete and that's how he won his titles. His team played boring football, and once everyone else caught up in the transfer market, he bought people like boulahrouz (spelling?), sheva, pizzarro, sidwell etc, none of which are really that good.

Basically, if you are desperate for a goal in the last half an hour so ytou send John Terry up front, something's wrong.

    I'd have MON any day

I don't think Jose set the prices in the transfer market, that was Abramovich's downfall, paying top dollar for players then selling clubs take the piss when it comes to selling to Chelsea.

I also don't think most of the transfers were his suggestion, certainly not after the first season. He bascially took Ranierir's team, p;us Drogba, and won the league at a canter. Broke a fair few records too, including points total, clean sheets. He also hasn't lost a domestic home game in 7 years

As for the tactics of sending John Terry up front, its a bit naive to suggest that was his only tactic, you could argue, MON's last season was putting Berger in midfield?

I doubt if Mourinho wanted plsyers like Shevchenk, Boularhouz, Pizzaro, Sidwell, his Porto team wasn't made up of star players (Deco etc only became stars afterwards).

  10. At Porto Mourinho not only won the title, but the UEFA cup and the champion's league. Ok the portugese league is not great, but neither is the scottish league. MON may have taken them to the UEFA cup final, but Celtic did not progress out of the group stages of the CL under MON.

In the PL Mourinho has won the league cup, FA cup and 2 leqgue titles in 3 years, and made Chelsea into a force to be reckoned with. MON has only won the league cup with leicester, and one of them was a final against Tranmere.

Really there is no comparsion when it comes to ability, Mourinho definitely the most successful manager. And he bought success to Porto without spending millions ( European success).

  11. I think that this will turn into a massive point scoring exercise and I for one do not agree with that.

Not really. Just highlighting the fact that certain people are of the opinion that MON knows exactly what he is doing and our opinion on the players doesn't matter. Even if people held a different view a while back, that doesn't matter as MON has hte magic touch and can turn a crap disaster prone defender into a world class one.

  12. After 3 different guilds I have finally found a decent guild that helps with instances and quests etc.

Did Temple of Atal-Hakkar yesterday - great fun - especially the huge dragon.

(I will roll horde on TM soon - i might even transfer my druid across)

  13. Question about the Tarren Mill server - as its PvP, how often do you get attacked while wandering around?

I am lvl 52 now, and if I switch my PvP on I inevitably get ganked/attacked.

Even in places like Booty Bay or gadgetzan where the guards kick the shit out of anyone who attacks another player.

And the othe question is, if someone who is 6 lvls below you kicks the shit out of you several times in a duel, are they a twink? (they are alliance so can't inspect their gear)
