Every time I have seen Barton play he has been very good. Gets stuck in, can shoot, cross set up goals. Ok he is crap at penalties but nothing new there for us.

For statos Joey Barton has scored more goals/min, got more assists and interestingly a hell of a lot of crosses for a central midfield player. Forget the previous incidents - they can be controlled. He would take us to the next level and would cost 5 million. If we bought NRC for 8 million I think I'd be very concerned.

He is not a a prolific goalscoring midfielder (Petrov was and has struggled - look at the stick he got) He is not known for his Makele-esque defensive midfielder capabilities (I'd say McCann-esque but I'd get slaughtered :winkold: ) Thought he was utter cack when they came to play at VP this season gone. Can't see what all the fuss is about. :?

I'll point out the fact that Jlloyd Samuel received dogs abuse for quite a few games because of a couple of fatal errors.... :?

Here are some WHU fans opinions of NRC: :shock: I felt we as fans had every right to word removed him off considering his attitude was **** appaling as well his performances early and halfway into the season. Just because he picked up near the end he is making out as if he saved us. he is a good player, we have been over critical about his performances at times but he can do one. He is another fat frank by the looks of it. " I took a selection of quotes, not just the bad ones, and the underlying message seems to be this bad attitude. I don't think he is worth anywhere near 8 million based on the above. Maybe 4-5 mill at a push.

Not that convinced about NRC. One season wonder. Did ok for West Ham last season, but has really come in for some stick from WHU fans this season for repeated below par performances. Am I the only one who thinks Joey Barton would be a lot better?

Yeah I was just going to mention Ashley Young. Liverpool isn't everything, he would be part of a squad rotation, plus aren't they after some spanish winger? because we all know spanosh players do so well in the PL! :winkold:

Clearly living with a spurs fan has given you an inferiority complex. There are some good reason's not to play for Spurs, and their big jawed Ogre of a manager is one of them!
