They must have been desperate to find a cupset somewhere to put this on the BBC.
I'd really prefer us not to go out in the 3rd round again live on TV to a team in a league lower than us so can we just get through this stage because our record is actually a shambles. I expect the team will look something like we put out for the European games which should really be strong enough, we've got another week off after this there's no need to play a weak side.
Exactly this Farlz.

‘Just concede it and don’t send a team to play’ What a ridiculous comment. You put out a team that allows the knackered players to rest and don’t go into a massive meltdown on here if we don’t win. Thanks for the info about our last trophy win didn’t know that.
I was merely responding to your comment and asking how a team 'ditches' a competition as you suggested we do. Thanks for elaborating and also for the petty sarcasm.

Figured it was time to ask. Any Belfast supporters group, or more general North of Ireland supporters group?
I'm sure there is, recently met a guy from Belfast in the Windsor in B'ham before the Zrinjski home game who had a massive Ulster Villa flag and regularly see a 'Northern Ireland Lions' flag at games with the Villa flag and NI national team badge on it. Pretty sure they meet in Carrickfergus at a pub and regularly make trips over for games. Google them or search it on Facebook I'm sure you'll find them!

Will never understand this. How do you 'ditch' a game? Just concede it and don't send a team to play? They're professional athletes, we've got over 5,000 supporters paying hard-earned money to make the long trip to support the team and we're trying to instil an elite winning mentality across the club. I'm so glad the players and Unai don't share this view.
We haven't won a trophy since 1996.

Cheers mate, done it as an away fan in away end plenty of times over the years but trying to bring some people with me this time who would never get away tickets, so was thinking buy in there then walk down concourse and into villa section for the game as we all be standing anyway
Exactly this, will be doing the same, best away day of the year for me is Fulham.

Does it still exist? Can you buy in this so called section and go stand with the away fans?
Been offered some tickets in the Putney end nearish away fans but wondered if its blocked off now or still open.Cheers
We did this last season, bought tickets that were on general sale from Fulham in the 'home' section of the Putney End then you can just walk into the 'away' blocks (from the concourse not over the netting obviously!) and stand in a space in there, so unless that's dramatically changed you should be fine. Worst case scenario, you just sit in your designated seats, you won't have any bother, it's the most relaxing away day of the lot!

If we lose to these at home, we may aswell write the season off.
You're right mate, might as well jack it in and follow the rugby instead, absolutely nowt to play for if we lose.
Am I on a Brentford forum?!

I think Man Utd will probably sit back almost as much as Sheffield Utd did
Surely not, their crowd would go mad

Not from where I was, but @wedge was making me feel negative about it so I might have been swayed a bit.... I think I prefer the regular late kick off light show stuff they do
Don't be influenced by me on anything ever mate, I'm an idiot!
It looked okay-ish for what it was, it's just not my idea of what whipping up an atmosphere at a football match should look like, but that is only my humble opinion.

They'll get their usual jammy VAR penalty or deflected rat boy winner against us after we outplay them at the theatre of prawns for the entirety of the game as per usual!
Come on you Lions!!!

Crowd sounded amazing last night on TV (sadly couldn't make it down there) so well done crew! Got even louder during the second half too, if we can keep that up during every remaining home game I'm sure we'll get 110% from the team until the end.
-
Enjoy it tonight lads. So annoyed I can't be there! Keep booming even if it's a nervy end or it's not going our way as we did the last two home games! Get them over the line.

Gutted I can't make it tonight. Stuff the poxy light show, make it loud troops! Want to hear VP from my living room and not through the TV speakers!!

It could be cool
Instead it will be a load of 40 year olds who have been on the piss all afternoon refusing to take part
I may be in the minority, but my idea of the club doing things to help the atmosphere at home games was more along the lines of tifos, displays, flags etc not American-style Coldplay gig organised mobile phone light shows.
There's a reason no other club in the UK has done it.
Almost certainly a Heck idea, smacks of something he's thought of, reminds me of Charlie Methven in the Sunderland Netflix documentary - 'Can someone challenge me on this?'

Can't help but feel there's a disconnection between the fans and the club on this.
Organised light shows on mobile phones are okay for a Take That gig, but not really for an English football crowd...
