  1. I've given the usual suspects long enough to start this thread!

Just under a fortnight to wait, and as much as it pains me to say it - a bit like our loveable jibber jabber handball-misunderstanding friends from the Olympic Village that we faced on Sunday -  if you look at our recent record against Wolves it does not make for brilliant reading, time to put that right on Easter Saturday under the lights at VP in front of a well-oiled and vociferous crowd.

  2. We need it to be bloody loud tonight, even if we go a goal behind, if it's flat for a European knockout game against Ajax of Amsterdam 16 months after I was certain we were heading for a relegation battle under Gerrard for Pete's sake then we need a full inquest.

Pretty sure Emery will be playing it safe for this game, i.e. anyone anywhere near an injury won't play. Can even see Chambers start.

I believe Chambers wasn't registered by AVFC to play in the latter rounds of the competition so he won't be in any of our UECL squads at all for the rest of the season.

Gutted I didn't get the chance to get a ticket for this (I couldn't order until tonight). But I have a question: the website seems to be suggesting there are 200+ Terrace View tickets left. I would pay £80 for this, so tried selecting this, having never done so before. But I just get error messages; do you need a particular type of account/membership/whatever to buy one of these?

Make sure you're logged in to your online account.

  5. I'd go with (but as always will back whatever El Maestro decides as let's face it, he knows far more than all of us combined!):

                                                    Emi

    Cash               Konsa                    Lenglet                 Digne

                                   Luiz                McGinn

                                            Tielemans

                    Bailey               Watkins              Diaby

Subs: Olsen, Tim, Torres, Moreno, Pau, Ramsey (if fit enough), Rogers, Zaniolo.

buzzing to have gotten a ticket today. was planning on which bar i was going to be watching the game in having already booked flights

If October was anything to go by, whether you have a ticket or not, it's going to be special in The Dam. 😎

In addition, Ajax home tickets for the game go on general sale at 9am UK time on their official site, you need to create an account and then upload a capture of your driving licence (my friend said UK passports don't work but UK driving licences do) to 'verify' the account and you can then purchase one ticket per person through Ajax. The away sector is located in blocks 416-417 so might be worth trying to get as close to there as possible.

  7. I'm saying this as someone who was successful, but they really need to think things through regarding the away ticket purchasing process online. The website cannot handle the traffic and repeatedly crashes for some which puts them out of the game as the tickets will then be gone once it un-freezes. It also allows people who were eligible in the previous category and have already purchased their one ticket to put another into their basket before the time the criteria changes and then assign it to someone else so of the 600 or so that should have gone on sale at 10am to ST holders with 3 home UECL games only just over 200 actually did at about 10:10am after showing as 'sold out' then refreshing past the 'error' and '0 tickets available' messages. It's just pure stress and chaos and pot luck seemingly, admittedly I don't have the answer but there are several things that need to be addressed!

  8. Booked flights and hotel within 25 minutes of it coming out of the hat. Back we go to the Dam!!! You've got to be rapid before the robbing bar steward airlines get wind and the price rockets. Our Luton flights went up from £85pp during the UEC draw to over £225pp within 45 minutes!!

3 of us managed to get tickets.

    Anyone else?

Yeah two of us, we just walked up into the actual away blocks with no issues whatsoever and stood on the steps towards the back with no issues for the entire game, loads were doing the same. It was a fantastic away end, brilliant and loud throughout, an absolute belter of a day at what is arguably the best away day out in the league!

After hearing the presser, sounds like ............

    martinez

    cash lenglet torres digne

    luiz iroegbunam

    mcginn ramsey

    bailey watkins.

I actually quite like the sound of this given the circumstances, famous last words! 😂 Craven Cottage really isn't a happy hunting ground for us - I mostly remember trudging away miserable after most visits there, last season's toxic Gerrard funeral being the worst by a distance, let's hope the players (most of whom will be playing tomorrow) don't have PTSD!

When was the last time we won at the Cottage when fans were present?! (We won 3-0 in an early season game during COVID in front of an empty stadium).

..dont think Chelsea have filled their allocation though

Really? Christ, I thought they still had a decent hardcore of away fans rather than the post-Abramovich Johnny-come-lately vlogger tourist glory hunter brigade that populates most of their home crowd now?

About 4.2k tickets left. Assuming Chelsea sell their allocation I'd imagine we're looking at 40k+.

Good news. Fair play to the club for making the right decisions regarding ticket prices.

Posted in the other thread but these are now on general sale, last few available in neutral end.

    £57

Just to add for those considering this, I think you might have to create a Fulham online account obviously!

This will test the famous waiting list. Cheap tickets, at home, versus Chelsea. If the majority of non ST seats are not taken up then our estimated demand might not be as high as some were bigging up.

How is this or ticket sales for any single match any way relevant to the season ticket waiting list?

There are tens of thousands of people on a waiting list to be given the opportunity to buy a season ticket, not to buy a ticket to any single particular home match. Non-ST holders who are claret members can get individual tickets to any home match and most even go to general sale...

I may have not totally understood the point you are trying to make, but I see a lot of Villa fans resort to making comments about the ST waiting list when we don't sell out a home game or something.

  15. This is going to be hard work, just hope we can find a way.

    I'd go with:

                                    Martinez

    Konsa               Carlos            Lenglet           Moreno

                                     Kamara

                             McGinn         Luiz

                                   Tielemans

                          Bailey

                                    Watkins

  17. I must say - that was one of the best Villa away ends I've had the pleasure of standing in for a considerable while while in my opinion. It was non-stop passionate, unconditional support and noise for 90 minutes from the Villa-packed Shed End, it was rocking like we were 5-0 up and it was 0-0! None of the moans and groans that you get at home matches when a Villa player gives the ball away etc. It was almost irrelevant what was happening on the pitch the 6,000 were just going to sing and make noise whatever happened, was great to hear some old songs coming out too. The Chelsea tourists and prawn sandwich eaters in the home end nearest to us were literally gawping at us for most of the game. You can tell by the player's comments (Cash and Emi M) in the post-match interviews and social media posts that they felt it too, McGinn was literally fist-pumping to the away end when we were winning corners and pushing towards the end, it felt like we were going to suck the ball in!

Our away support is usually class, but this was a notch up, maybe it was because of the larger allocation that it was the first many have been able to get tickets to for a while? Or with it being a Friday night and everyone well-oiled? Either way, I would have feared for my personal health if we'd have got a late winner! 😂

  18. I really hope I'm wrong (and I was about Chelsea beating us on Friday in the cup), but I really think we could be in for a struggle tomorrow night, it's vital the fans (like the vociferous away end did for 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge) do their bit to help the boys over the line like they did against Man City and Arsenal this season.

I’m trying to get 3 tickets for this as it’s by bday weekend and I fancy going down to London for the match! Does anyone know how easy it is to get tickets in the home end through general sale at Fulham?

Im tempted to go undercover and just sit on my hands for the duration of the match!

Should be very easy but expensive! If it's in the Putney End you won't need to sit on your hands as over 50% will be Villa in the 'home' areas as it is, will be very relaxed, there's no segregation in the concourse either and all go in using the same turnstiles as mentioned above so can literally just walk into the 'away' section and stand in there!
