  1. If you've enjoyed the Wire, the Sopranos and Succession, I'd recommend the Le Bureau on stream via Amazon. It's a French spy thriller box set. Subtitled, but brilliant.

A very different French series. Almost as good, is Call My Agent. on Netflix.

Nakamba is neat and tidy, does break up play, but you want him to advance with the ball and take it forward or look for a telling forward pass then run and make himself available rather than just the immediate lay off. This is how you improve on Nakamba, some one who participates in more of the offensive game rather than just sat deep breaking up attacks.

Agree but I think there have been signs of a more forward looking approach from Nakamba in pre season games

If we're honest with ourselves as fans, yes Grealish has been a fantastic player for us, but its undeniable that he likes the flashy, celebrity, love island me me me culture and undoubtedly is swayed by the type of people who lack conviction and principles.

He has never been the home town hero, salt of the earth character that is humble and downplays things, like Alan Shearer or a true great who spent their whole career underachieving. We have to accept that this is the time we are living in now. Someone will step up to the plate and will probably get better stats then Jack did last year, if buendia can play 12 more games than him then he will score more and get more assists.

Spot on. I think this is something that Southgate doesn't like. He is trying to build a squad of committed and humble players. If Grealish goes, I'll be more sympathetic to Southgate's stance.

Problem is the scum 6 will always come and take the cream from us/any other lesser club as we get called. It is so frustrating, just shows FFP was bought in to make the 'Elite' (how Spurs are classed as a big 6 club won nothing since 2008...) stay elite. Any club outside this scum 6 devolves a top caliber player the media get on the bandwagon.

Sadly, it's the law of the jungle. As a mid-table, upwardly mobile side we poach Buendia from Norwich.

Seconded. Skoda was the joke car manufacturer of the 90s, but quite the opposite these days.

I also hope McGinn wasn't one of them.

Skoda, not flash. Reliable and solid, and excellent value for money.

Winks reminds me of Ryan woods when he was at Brentford … The role of a deep lying DM playmaker is so misunderstood in this country … We seem to rate our DM by crunching tackles rather than intelligent interceptions. Not saying Winks is the answer to our midfield conundrum but he is a good player who is misunderstood and under appreciated IMO. He’s too similar to what we currently have and I’d prefer Berge to add height and presence.

Has there been a recent link to Winks?

  7. Being reported in a French sporting newspaper that we're interested in buying Rhian Brewster from Sheffield United, as long as they can recoup most of what they paid Liverpool.

Evidently, Liverpool  have a buy back clause written into contract until 2023. This might prove a stumbling block.

  8. Its all down to opinions, but if our recruitment team thinks he's good enough and has potential, then I'll back them.

He looks a good player on Youtube, albeit very selective, and comes across as an intelligent young man.

Jack has only been really world class in the last year or so.

Whatever happens as a club we can't base our ambition around one player. Of course things are much more promising with Jack in our side but as a club what is more important is that we develop at identity, and that identity can't be built upon a single player.

Several other side's such as Leicester, Leeds, and West Ham don't have Jack. Does that curtail their hopes and ambition, no it doesn't. They have an identity, a plan and we need to have the same. It was very apparent last season we struggle without Jack. The players didn't know what to do without their conductor. We need to be better than that, even if Jack stays we can't be so reliant on him.

If we does leave the crucial thing is how we invest the money, it's really difficult. We may get it badly wrong but other clubs have succeeded in the past and it has helped them grow further as a side. None of those players were as important as Jack is to us but we can do it too.

The promising thing is we do have a philosophy being built from the youth system up, this may slow our progress slightly this season but hopefully as a club in a few years time we will have built a solid foundation and identity.

If Jack leaves hopefully he comes to rue the decision on a few years time. Hopefully we still progress and win some trophies, and even if Jack was to win premier League titles with City he'd be thinking I wish that was me, I was I was the captain leading my boyhood club to glory.

Or we could just continue to be another team that competes but ultimately never wins anything.

Whatever happens I have full faith in our owners and our management team.

well said. Very level headed view

I mean, if we're serious about him, there's still plenty of time for that to happen.

Spot on. we've got to have faith. we've got a more than capable team I/c of our transfer operations.

Tuanzebe as a back up / competition to Konsa makes sense. Especially on loan. We deffo need a CB.

I don't think Tuanzebe would come unless he were promised regular games. I don't think we can promise that
