  1. bit of sympathy for McLeish, but HE brought Hutton, HE refuses to drop the defence for Clark or Cueller, HE played Heskey for most of the season....
  2. Given - 8 - solid Hutton - 1 - scares me every time he plays. Collins - 4 - too many mistakes Dunne - 6 - our best defender, but that doesn't say much Warnock - 6 - too rash. Would like to see Clark play there Herd - 6 - solid but unspectaular. I like his energy. Delph - 7 - quality on the ball, rash off it. N'Zogbia - 7 - needs game time but will get better. A must starter. Heskey - 0 - adds nothing to our game. We play hoof ball, it bounces off him, we lose procession and we're under pressure again. Doesn't hold the ball up, pass, retain procession, shoot, score, tackle or track back. Get out. Gabby - 8 - i like him because he works hard. Bent - 6 - not his best game but the service to him is crap. Heskey got in his way a few times too. Jenas - 7 - energy and skill. More minutes under his belt and he has to be pushing for a start. Bannan - 8 - our best player. Played 10 minutes. Our best spell. Passing, movement, energy. Bannan at the heart. Has to start in the future. His brush with the law seems to have made him more focused. My team v Man U Given Herd Cueller Dunne Clark Jenas Delph N Zog Bannan Gabby Bent
  3. The board aren't telling McLeish to play Heskey ahead of Bannan, nor did they make him buy the liability Hutton. Just 2 reasons to hold Mcleish responsible
  4. didn't see it, but sounded like the goal came from a set piece again, yet GH says he doesn't want to change the system until pre season. WHY?!?!?! could it get any worse? He might as well give it a go!!
  5. players don't want him fans don't want him we've gone from 6th to 1 point off relegation we don't care about the fa cup Why is he still here?!?!?
  6. I'd love Big Sam right now. I know he's a cock, but at least the team fight for him, play to their strengths, and he's rarely out-thought tactically. The formation, positions and players - nothing is working. I don't know whether to blame Young because he's greedy yet shite or feel sorry for him cos he's in a shite team and he's just trying his best.
  7. Brad - no chance with goals Herd - got stuck in, like the look of him Dunne - don't like him, but didn't do anything wrong Clark - unlucky for goal, played well Delph - great considering lack of games and out of position. Big future in midfield. Gabby - OK but not threatening enough. Move to wing hasn't benefitted anyone. Petrov - Too old, too slow. Bradley - OK, nothing special, but give him games. Bannan - worked really hard, passed well. Big future. Fonz - worked hard, would like to see him in the middle. Heskey - no idea. didn't see him. waste of space.
  8. Thought Dunne was really poor again.... If Bridge comes in I can see Clark being a regular centre back.
  9. do our players know what they're supposed to be doing? are we a hoof it forward team, and pass and move team, a counter attack team? We have no idea. Mis placed passes, players on totally different wavelengths. Injuries all over the shop yet 3 internationals frozen out of the picture. Constant formation changes. No heart. No direction from the bench. I haven't said this since Dr Joe, but the manager must go. Get out of my club (and take that bloody 'fitness' coach with you!)
  10. firstly - anyone calling for GH's head should grow up. Its not his team, so give him a chance. secondly, I love the fact that Ash is suspended for Liverpool. Hopefully we can now play 2 proper strikers upfront, in a 442 and give it a good go. Gabby can work the wings (which he does very well) and he will know Fonz is in the middle waiting to tap it home, rather than Ash who will dick about with the ball on the edge of the box then put in a massively overhit cross 10 yards over the cross bar. Brad Luke - Cueller - Clark - Warnock Bannan - Ireland - Hogg - Downing Gabby - Fonz
  11. Dunne is shite. He was shite last season as well. Its only cos he scored a couple of early goals that he was accepted, but really, he was shite. We need to sort out what we are going to do with Ash. His crossing isn't good enough for a out and out winger, he can't play with Gabby cos when Gabby drifts wide, he hangs back rather than fills the gap in the box so I think he should be played with Heskey, or dropped for Ireland/Fonz when Gabby plays. Though Gabby was good for the first 60 mins. Faded and should have been subbed. Full backs worry me. Very impressed with Bannan.
  12. Didn't see the game, but why was Cuellar dropped? He was brilliant last week.... never been convinced by Dunne...
  13. Very pleased.... 2 average performances and 2 wins. Glad GH has realised Stan Petrov is a hinderance after half time. His legs have gone. I also think that Dunn will struggle to get back in the team now. I honestly think Cuellar and Collins are the best 2 centres backs we have. Luke Young and Warnock are OK, but still worry me defensively. Albrighton was great, first player I've seen since Beckham who realises you don't have to beat the man to get a cross in. I think NRC was brilliant as well, considering he had to do twice as much running in the absence of Petrov. Downing for me is not an out and out winger, but he generally does well in the box. Young is the heart beat of the team. We must build tactics around him. He's a class above everyone around him so we need to keep him happy. Heskey has had 3 brilliant games this season (the Euro game, Blackburn and today) so hopefully his form will stay.
  14. Brad: Fine but takes ages with his goal kicks.... which annoyed me a bit Warnock: OK Cueller: Very solid. Much better as CB Clark: Very promising Lachaj: Getting better and better Bannan: Great on the ball, could do with looking up a bit more, doesn't seem aware of players making space around him Reo-coker: Nothing special but did well Sidwell: To be fair, it was his first game in ages. But shocking procession, gave the ball away so much. Doesn't work with Reo-Coker. Young: Excellent. Clearly a class above the rest of the pitch. Seemed very frustrated before Heskey came on that no one was on his level. Clicked with Heskey instantly. Carew: did very well but no one helped him at all when he had procession Gabby: did do much Fonz: OK, but shouldn't play on the wing Heskey: Bloody hell, he was brilliant! Worked really well with Young, won the ball, held on to the ball but more importantly played the defence splitting balls that no one else could Davies: Didn't really notice him
  15. Sven? Jol? McClaren? Southgate?Kilnsmann? None excite me
  16. Richards, Ireland and £35m. Otherwise they can sod off.
  17. Doesn't put a foot wrong cos he doesn't do anything! Blue game? What about Hull in 3 days time? You want the same knackered 11 players playing then as well?
  18. no plan b Fonz deserves more time on the pitch Downing not good enough Petrov has no reasons to keep his place in team. Not captain material, doesn't score goals, can't tackle, few assists, can't run for 90 minutes. Can't run for 45 minutes. Can we afford to keep a player who can only pass if he has time and space? Bouma needs a game, Warnock needs a break. Simples isn't it?
  19. he's the first striker since Deano Sauders who positions himself in the 6 yard box. a proper poacher.
  20. been thinking this for a while now! Dimitar Berbatov?
  21. Petrov hasn't been a box-to-box player for years. If anyone is meant to be a box-to-box player it's Milner. Or NRC?
