The thing that would make him a decent signing this summer, would be his ability to play up front, which is where he’s made most of his starts this season. But, should only sign to be a backup, not as a starter. £10m or less would be grand.

Wasn’t the issue with Phillips that he rejected our offer? Leeds accepted, no?

Brooks is average, like Cantwell. We really need to think higher than that. Buendia is different class. Not seen enough of Olive, but would be happy with him. Not sure if anyone else will tackle our fancy from the Championship.

He’s also got the coolest celebration I ever did see.

I think they will still struggle like they did before, unless they beef up their defence....I don't think they have learn't much.
You cannot concede goals in the prem without consequence....clean sheets are like gold dust....something to build on.
I will revisit that as they have conceded 36 goals this season as opposed to 57 in 2018/19....so perhaps i have that wrong, maybe they have learned.
I meant the place, not the club. Sorry for the confusion!

Norwich is class, to be fair.

Looking forward to this. What do we think the attendance will be?
When I booked my ticket, I think there was about 400 tickets left? Mostly in the North Stand.

The only downside to Buendia is that he’s aggy as ****. 4 red cards in his last 3 league seasons for Norwich.
He is top class though. He’d take us to the next level.

Depends on who we can attract on the left or at 10. Jack is world class in both positions, so it depends on who we can attract.
I have my heart set on Jack, Buendia and de Arrascaeta behind Watkins. And I won’t have it any other way.

I really want to win a cup, so I don’t agree with that proposal to be honest.

He’ll sign for Newcastle. Who are we kidding?

A measure which actually would have alleviated traffic congestion on the outskirts of paradise, something which Joni singularly fails to point out, perhaps because it doesn’t quite fit in with her blinkered view of the world. Nevertheless, nice song.

I think, like many things, the true position is in the middle of most people’s opinions.
He has been a good signing for the price, and far exceeded my expectations based on the Lyon and Ajax fans in the summer.
Conversely, if we do have ambitions to get in to the top 6, this is a position that we would need an improvement in. Perhaps not on ability, but certainly consistency.
And to end this, I will finish by saying that this guy has given us some of our best moments in a Villa shirt for a long time. He has been exhilarating, frustrating, infuriating, mesmerising all in equal measure. I’d take a Traore over a Snodgrass any day of the week.

I don’t think Iwabuchi going is our decision. The others probably are.

Where you seen that?
If you look at the last paragraph on the website: https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/may/FA-Youth-Cup-Final-details-confirmed/
“Further details regarding spectators and ticketing will be confirmed at the earliest opportunity.”

Looks as though fans may be allowed in for the final.

He was their worst player by some distance. Just hope he’s done enough for us to get a few million for him in the summer.

Believe his missus is from Liverpool.
If he’s happy to stay, then that’s a position we needn’t worry about this summer. Ideal.

What a guy. He makes most saves look easy, so it doesn’t look as though he’s made many “worldies” this season, but how refreshing. Incredible bloke.
Premier League signing of the season for me. I’m sure all the pundits will say it’s Ruben Dias, but the impact Emi has had on us is greater, especially considering the cost.
Why Arsenal let him go is the biggest mystery since how Morrissey turned out to be a massive bellend.

Man of the match for me tonight, and his best performance of the season.
Excellent character to come back after the last game. Keep it up Doug!

White and black away kits always look good. Yellow provably my least favourite.

No brainer to keep him here. Now we’ve a couple of French speaking players, hopefully he’ll settle better. Mon garçon.
