This Maupay guy looks good, should go for him! Would probably make us contest for CL right?

I'd keep Trez around because hes showed signed of getting better and improving and that's to do with the hard work he puts in.
Trez actually looks like he wants to be at Villa unlike Ghazi.
I would keep him so our FB keep the drama!

Yes, I remember you called Watkins. Any idea when it will be announced?
He takes the bait when we reach 300! Then we cod reel him in.

Pleased for him really, clearly signed by a manager who had no idea how to use him. It's a short career and they get paid good money, but it must be depressing to end up in the situation he did straight after the hitting the best form of his career with Brentford. Hope by moving to Blues he can be happy and settled somewhere, but will keep my fingers crossed that they still have a shite season.
100% agree
I feel Hogan has good attitude, he put work in but didnt work out here.

This. While I see the reasoning behind looking for pace and directness to balance the squad, I just can't see Traore being good enough so I don't want us to sign him, but that doesn't mean we won't support him. It's not his fault our recruitment people hypothetically gets it wrong.
But it's just how this forum is. Offer one opinion that doesn't flow with the happy go lucky sign the world transfer window junkies, and you'll be 'replied' with strawmen, post on posters, insults and ridicule. Goes with the argumentative skills of the populist year 2020 I guess.
I think its perfectly fine to be critical, sceptical and whatever against signings. What I do not find ok is making things up, spreading clearly fake news, spamming out statements and ignoring questions on where these statemens stem from. I also find one person making alot of strawmen and thats not the ones more neutral to the transfer

Cutting inside to the left being his only move. Very one dimensional, predictable and easy to defend against. One trick pony. Poor decision making. Terrible finishing and a shameful right foot. Doesn't sound too promising, does it?
Have you witnessed any of this? Stop making things up to make it fit your agenda

Lyon fans have watched him in over 50+ games.
They say he's shit. Are their opinions not valid?
Well we could say they are not valid if we look at their opinion on John Carew?
You have quite vocal opinions on matters you seem to lack a grasp of knowledge of

We need a box to box player like Allan next to McGinn.
Do you know much about the players you comment about? You hate Traore from the bottom of your heart, but you do not seem to know what he offers or his style of play. Now you comment about Allan without knowing what Allan offers to a team. You previously also compared Wesley and Watkins, two different kinds of strikers who offers something completely different to a team...

And funnily enough, Adama is only a year younger than Bertrand I think. No idea why people are so against this signing, relatively young player with quite a high profile in the game. Came through a good youth setup, had solid loans in Europe, but has had a bad couple of years in relative context which is likely down to the amount of changes over at Lyon.
Lets get behind this guy!
I will be behind him if he signs, same as I would be with almost every other signing!

If there ever is the greatest example of being held at ransom, this would be it.
20 million for Bertrand Traore is a robbery. Great potential of being the worst signing of the season.
Its not the greatest scam thou, its not Kepa!

Why are penalties excluded?
If we retain the most fouled player in the league next season then a good penalty taker would be a good thing wouldn’t it?
We did have the mos fouled player last season and only received 2 penalties. I wouldnt put much into penalty conversation rate.
I would prefer not getting Deeney, but he has a "**** you" attitude we need more of in our team. So someone with the same attitude would be good!

I would like to keep both El Ghazi and Trez. Really appreciate Trez effort, at least he is trying, with admittable some lack of technical abilities. Unlike El Ghazi that seems to have more technical abilities, but lack the work-rate. I would keep both as squad players, but I do not believe they are up to be regular starters in Premier League

Hey VT,
I been browsing forum for a few years, but never registered until now!
I am 34, from Oslo, Norway. As most other Norwegian I have an anglophilic relationship towards football, and somehow I ended up a fan of Aston Villa when I was 6 or 7 years old. I blame my older sister for this, since she put me in the spotlight asking me one late night for my favorite football team (I answered Aston Villa or Everton at that time). That was a secret way of figuring out what to get the young football addict for his birthday, and I ended up getting 2 Villa scarves(home and away) and 1 Everton scarf for my birthday the following week. Claret and blue ended up beating up the blue, and Villa it was, and Villa it is.
Will not defend Nyland too much, but I do think he is adequate backup :D

tons = many
Just saying that Balotelli, Antonio and Carroll has scored many goals in PL, none of those have great decision making
