Rather Traore. Kind of bored by this Rashica saga
Beat me to it, if you stick Traore in there it still looks amazing compared to last season and is actually something we do with the players that wear The shirt...

I had no idea that was the time! That's what self isolation does to you. You lose track of space and time!
I never lose track of space.... I fully understand that itâs the void between a blue noses ears

Booooom, this is a head turner for sure.. Welcome Ross, welcome welcome welcome

Does anyone really still believe that Rashica is coming here? That ship has sailed I'd say.
Not sure if it was ever closer to being a dingy than a ship but to be honest anything can happen so it wouldnât totally surprise if he did sign for us, still doesnât feel right but until the window closes I wouldnât write it off ... Who bloody knows but I am ready for a surprise or 2Â

Do fans think we are going to go away from home and boss the game? That was a fantastic away performance. Iâm really surprised by the negativity over how we played. We let them have the ball because we were 2-0 up and they could do f**k all with it. Leicester won the league playing how we did today.Â
Â6 points, 2 clean sheets. Smile people
Haha so true, there are just too many Villa fans on this forum for my likingÂ

We did what we had to. Early goals and then conceded possessionÂ
My favourite game is back, guessing who gives Smith poor. 3 people so far, one for each away goal!
Probably the same muppets that voted the ref as having a very good performance

Really poor at keeping the ball. Watkins and luiz both could have brought it down and just headed it on.
Was thinking the same, hoping he can grow in confidence and start controlling the ball

Offside but he should have been throwing himself at that ball....Â

There appears to be many deluded fans who think itâs easy to just go out there and buy a new team.... It takes time to build a team which it appears we are trying to do this time, something we could not do last season due to the reasons we are all aware of.
Based on the new signings, plus the emergence of players like Jacob R and possibly others as the season progresses I am happy at how we have looked to strengthen so feel itâs a good 7/10 performance so far.
The score could even be an 8/10 when you factor in Jack and Tyrone signing new contracts... It sounds like to many fans think we are a top 6 team so are setting their score on that, personally I just want some stability and continuous growth to allow us to repeatedly add better players every window as we become more attractive....

You sir are insane, we have effectively 3 players for centre back but 2 for left back and 2 centre backs who can play left back
This makes no sense, some would call it nonsense..Did you mean to write it as you have?
ÂWe only have 1 left back as I refuse to even acknowledge we have Taylor. For all the good work Targett can do he should be back up only..
There are no centre-backs I would play as Left back unless we really have to and if really needed Elmo could be an emergency CB...
ÂThis is not how we should be structuring our team long term so anyone who can come in and strengthen the LB and CB positions is where we need to be looking.

I wouldnât, I donât know the lad and neither does anyone but the coaching staff.
He needs minutes for a fan to judge him accuratelyÂ
Hourihane has been a good servant to the club but I would play Ramsey ahead of him against Fulham and Stoke than re-assess the situation again based on how well he does. He has shown enough for me so far to see he has a chance of great things but I can see that there are benefits of him going out on loan again as his brief move to Doncaster was cut short by C19.
However He has a chance to shine right now and so far he certainly has, it may have been against lesser teams but class is still class and he has shown he definitely has it in him.Â
Like last season we have one main aim which is to stay in the prem, this time with the added goal of stability but it still means that to some degree the pressure is less on him especially as there is no crowd to increase the tension. The window does not close until October 16th for EFL business so plenty of time to take a breath and get the decision right but for me I would keep him in and round the first team and give him some freedom to develop with us and show us what he is made of. I think the lad will prove what he is made of but if he does struggle we can still loan him out in Jan without upsetting his progress to much or effecting our position in the Prem...
He has all the right attributes and comes a a cross as a bloody nice lad as well so good luck to him, and he is a local lad .....
In fact the more I think about it the more I certain I am he should stay with the first team and fight to cement a place right now, the opportunity is primed for himÂ

What I will say though, You make great experienced posts of advice for someone so new to the forum. Thanks.

Been reading VT for many years so I get how things work, have seen ITKers hung out to dry for trying to pass on news they have heard and so I am not trying to do that....... You sound pathetic trying to dig at how many posts someone has written as if it makes Your opinion any more valid, I can tell you it does not...
ÂIf Milot signs then it could be great, if he doesnât then personally I will not judge you for it like some will... However the links are weak at best and have dried up, bring a real link and I am sure the mods will open up the thread again...
Edit... if you were not having a dig then apologies Rigo.. had a similar comment from Rayk based on me being a newbie on here ... If you were then the above stands

Not sure why we are talking about a player in the transfer thread when there is a thread dedicated to the player?
What do you make of the Edouard deal? Still happening? Will we blow ÂŁ30m+ now on one Striker do you think?
Yawn.......Â
And from recollection we already have blown that figure on one striker havenât we.? Â Â
ÂI ainât into hanging anyone out to dry on VT for trying bring ITK but it sounds like you have thrown your toys out of your pram Rigo..

Defeats the object of having a thread for the player then?
Why don't we close all individual player speculation threads and hold the whole lot in here if that's the case?
Â
Not really.. I feckin loved the Thread but most of it had jackshit to do with the player apart from the odd sparodic tenuous link...
if you have anything real to add into this thread then fill your boots and maybe the mods will then open it again....

Where is Jacks best position, or where would you like to see him play?
ÂIt's been pointed out to me that Jack has played in several positions so where do fans see his ideal role as?Â
Currently he is playing on the left, occasionally switching to the right during games but has previously also played in a central role.Where ever he plays we know he will roam to some degree but as we strengthen the team on the wings does this enable him to move central?
I personally donât remember him being as influential in the middle, so much so I forgot he even played there, but that was a different time, league and most crucially team. As we bring in more skilful wingers would it allow Jack to become an AM as the pivotal playmaker in, as already said in this topic, a Totti-esque or Silva influence within the team...

Not to mention it's where Jack prefers to play (he has stated this numerous times) and, probably, where he has the most chance of establishing himself in the England set up. Â
This doesn't necessarily matter on a matchday BUT does matter longer term if we want to try and keep Jack at the club for as long as we can ... which I think all of us do?!
Honestly couldnât care less about Jack and England, itâs a nice to have but Villa is what matters. The lads just signed a five year contract with Villa so that either means someone pays us a shed load of money or he is here for many years, England or not.
It would be great if someone could post the stats of CM starts v LW, and then show how affective he has been in either position as I just canât remember any stand out performances with Jack in the middle.
Either way though Jack will roam around the pitch doing his thing,  I think a Barkley type player could only compliment him.
