McGinn is spent. Guy needs a break.
Must be tired from giving 110% for Scotland and 56.7% for Aston Villa.

Can't understand any of this.
McGinn and Barkley have had dire second halves, but it was clear from the start Barkley wasn't anywhere near 100%. So wtf is he still doing on the pitch in the 79th minute?
I get it, our midfield depth isn't great, but we're drowning.
Traoré has done literally nothing since coming on - 17m, really? Been no better than Trez, arguably worse.
Mings has been shite, what happened to the powerhouse from our first 4 fixtures? It's only been a week since Leicester, he's so far off those levels already.
Grealish has been marked out of it after his ball cleared off the line earlier. Only a tactical change can open that up again, but Smith and co. have done nothing to address it.
None of it is logical game management. Smith seems so smart with his pre-match prep, but when the game plan doesn't work he's got nothing. Literally nothing. It's like the second coming of Martin O'Neill, but even he would switch the wingers to challenge the full backs a bit.
**** disaster tonight.

(ssssshhh, don't tell anyone but we're 2nd in the table)
Well, not for long. We're also losing at home (fans or no fans) to a newly promoted side, so there's that.
Hate this.

What was the tactical plan tonight? Hard to see one. Midfield has been shite too. Really disappointing, this. Really really disappointing.

Traore coming on
Bout time. Need to change the middle too. Not happening for us currently.

Barkley off for Hourihane, Trez off for Traoré. Please. The way this is going, no changes will commit us to 0-2 or worse.

Changes NOW. we've been pedestrian at best.

If this were Liverpool or United VAR would still be looking at that pen shout on Grealish.

He’s still carrying a knock.
Apparently two weeks to fully recover.
As I said above, he shouldn't be playing then.

I'm assuming thats due to his knee issue.
Probably. Shouldn't be playing if it's that bad.

Midfield is poor tonight. So much space between them and the back line when Leeds break
Barkley doesn't look to be at the races which seems strange.

OMG can that commentator stop wanking Leeds off
Haven't you got the memo? Everyone's second team Kiwi. Absolute darlings, all of them. Dirty Leeds? Never heard of them

Has Trez ever connected cleanly with a square ball? Shank City

Kudos to Leeds fans also
Thanks for sharing this. Donation made.

Has any Villa fan set up a pool donation so those of us who have zero **** intention of lining the moneybags of the already mega-rich can donate money to charities instead? Then tweet the total amount @ Sky and BT and the PL to rub their scummy little noses in it and show them what a shambles their recent initiatives have been.

Leeds players involved in a fracas? Never.

Was driving home from work last night just after 9pm. I was going across the Erskine Bridge which, bizarrely enough, actually overlooks Old Kilpatrick/Clydebank, where SJM was brought up. I was listening to game on radio and just as I was at highest point of bridge, SJM feeds Barkley and the rest was history. Nearly crashed the car. Just realised I am now a fully fledged Villa fan.
Welcome to the obsession. The highs and lows; the restless nights before a big game. Dreaming of impossible victories. Watching old finals on YouTube (in living memory or before) to remember what it felt like to win a major trophy. Hating the Baggies, laughing at the Blues. Minding the gap for Wolves!

Am I crazy... I thought that ref was super fair. He was letting the game flow and keep moving at times. I gave him top marks...
Grealish MOTM for me. Created a lot, but definitely has to shoot more.
We were such a solid unit tonight. Traore was actually impressive when he came on today.
That would have been great if there hadn't been 2 Leicester players on the pitch deserving of red cards, with only 1 yellow between them come full time.
Letting the game flow is all well and good but you have to also impose the rules? I think there were 8 clear fouls from Castagne before a card was brandished in his direction, and that's just ludicrous.

Q for the stattos: Do we have the most clean sheets so far this season despite playing a game less than most other teams?

Did you have difficulties reading all that, or just not want to? I never said everything is shit, I said tonight has been a disaster for us.
I take it you're delighted with what you're seeing out there.
