I don't think that passes forward are failing because of a lack of options up front, which is what bringing on Duran would do. I think it's because we're exhausted and have a shoestring and spit constructed midfield that is also exhausted.

I’ve just seen at least 5 times now where Diaby or Bailey have broken forward along the sideline and instead of chucking it up over their backline it gets passed backwards. Aka what Dunk has done with Adingra. We used to do that all the time when the team was flowing more.

I thought it was more that the defender was judged to have got a touch on the ball

If that’s the case then it is what it is. I didn’t see him touch the ball though but I could be wrong.

I've seen several replays of the penalty claim now and I think it's one you wouldn't be at all surprised to see given - surprised it was passed over so quickly.

I mean.. he clearly stuck his leg in and it tripped Rogers. Don’t think he needed to flop much, if he did, to sell that. Should’ve gone to the monitor at the least.

Strange post. He's nowhere near good enough, proven time and again. Exempt from any sort of criticism though.

Why do people always go overboard with their responses? No one’s saying he’s exempt from criticism but for the Olympiakos match he was clearly not the problem with the team. Obviously we need to find a better backup for Emi but Olsen really isn’t as bad as he’s been portrayed to be.

  5. Dream shopping list for the summer:

    Alex Baena

    Mikel Merino

    Mario Hermoso

    Youssouf Fofana

    Giorgio Scalvini

    Jeremie Frimpong

IRL, I imagine it would be 2-3 of these guys plus a collective of loans/youth players showing enormous potential.

Havertz is sliding his foot along the ground trying desperately to find the keepers leg - it's never a penalty - if it's a foul, it's committed by Havertz.

That said, the challenge on Saka earlier might well have been red, so at least they're consistent.

What on earth happened to yellow cards for simulation? Feels like it’s been ages since I’ve seen the last one.

People jumping the gun a tad here, I feel. This is by no means done. We have to win a game, and the three games we have are all really really difficult.

I choose to have faith that the team will beat Brighton as they are more than capable and will certainly want to rebound from last night. Plus Brighton aren’t good. Only thing that makes it really really difficult would be our injuries/if Emi is out.

And for Spurs. They’re in a funk, don’t care about 4th as evidenced by their managers words and Pool are still mathematically, however unlikely, in the title race and will not want to end Klopps final season on a string of bad loses.

Yeah I can't blame him for the Chelsea goal

The one where he clearly reached his arm up and handed them a penalty?
