It winds me up no end that people aren’t interested in losing their right to protest. I’ve discussed it with a few people since the policing bill was first suggested and I’ve been met with comments like “Good, maybe those climate change idiots will let people get on with their days now”. Seems a lot of people are only capable of seeing the world through their own eyes, and only their immediate future.

I would say a lot of lower class people are so mentally drained that they have given up and are in survival mode. There needs to be a voice for real people in there with power, it's full of house master buggered toff puppets on a string for those superior barstards that really make the rules.

If Gerrard goes back to playing Buendia and Coutinho together without making adjustments I’d get really pissed off.

He has played them together for a number of games and it clearly hasn’t worked, so if he intends to do it again they need different instructions. Otherwise it’ll just be like those games against Newcastle and Watford, with the area outside the box too crowded and our nr 10s trying to play through centrally.

Play Buendia by all means, but then Coutinho should be on the bench.

They haven't played together enough to gel, as I said the formation and strategy has to be nailed to get them to click, if they do we unlock two match winners that give any opposition a headache, if not done correctly, we get the headache. It's not about the players, it's about the coaching/planning.

Preferred Brian Cox as Lecter tbh and I love Hopkins as an actor (Magic being my favourite of his).

Now that is one for the underrated movies thread, I quite liked most of the Richard Attenborough diirected movies and he gets as good a shout for this as does Hopkins. For years I would tell people to watch this and no one ever bothered, I thought the first stage entrance of Fats was a brilliant idea and executed to perfection.

I think Anthony Hopkins best performance though, was in The Remains of the Day, a great film.

  4. Sounds convincing this time.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has confirmed he is "done" with boxing.

The 33-year-old British fighter had hinted at retiring after sixth-round knockout of Dillian Whyte in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley to retain his title on Saturday.

Speaking to Piers Morgan's TalkTV show on Wednesday, Fury said he was deciding to leave boxing behind to spend more time with his family.

I am probably in the minority here, but I prefer Buendia to Coutinha. We play so much better with Buendia in the side. And Buendia is the future.

I can see what you mean but if the lineup, formation and strategy is right, a team including both of them could be very effective and is what we should be aiming to make happen.

Getting a few concepts in a bit early this year. Saw a tweet somewhere saying the away was going to be sky blue and the third yellow, could be a load of nonsense but figured I'd work with that for now.

Yeah I'd be interested in that home kit, don't like the collar but the body is different and good

Would love see that home shirt as is but with a round collar in the blue and no centre stripe.

I remember quite early in the Pandemic, reading through the Gov.uk website around Covid stuff and finding out (before it even got in the media) how they were handling the care homes thing and putting untested and Covid positive people from Hospitals into care homes. I remember posting in the Virus thread about it, how it was absolutely appalling. I bet the Gov't appeals, but they haven't got a leg to stand on, they utterly, negligently, effed up their handling of it.

    Gov will blame the scientists.
