Such a shame it never worked out for him here and such a shame we couldn’t get a fee. A lesson learned

Fab linking Doug to Arsenal again
21:20ish

Damn just checked Hudson Odai’s age… I swear he was 28… turns out he’s only 23

Have Philogene back if that's the best we're linked with.
Would make more sense. Cheaper, “club trained” and may end up a better player

Sky Sports News is linking Hudson Odoi to a “unnamed English champions league club”
Could be us, but do we need him, or even want him?

When you look at old photos, it’s amazing how brown the 80s was and how beige the 90s was.

According to some, Ndidi is a midget…
I’ve noticed. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is taller than Boubs.
in most cases, I generally don’t think hight matters for a lot of modern day DMs.
it’s the reading the game, mobility and winning the ball back is key now days. The giant destroyer taking chunks out of players era either is long gone or just a myth.

Given the communication method of the club currently, we’ll find out he’s joined on the first team sheet of preseason.
That soon? I can’t wait

i wonder how the Club is going to announce this? Are they going to try and do it where they hide all Castor branding or are they going to do it a generic Adidas clobber, or actually wait until the kit is out!

How about this guy?
Only 6’4? Who’s is he, Tommy Elphick?
7ft tall is VT’s minimum hight for a DM

if are going in for a DM, would we get one with a similar play style to Boubs, or will we go for a different style of player for the option

Yeah, it's like a posh shop smell.. not like sports direct that smells like toilet.
I think it encourages you spend a little more than you were planning.
Never knew Villa shop would bother with that.
You’re right, nice smelling shops get you to spend more -

I might just wait and pay a visit to the new villa store instead, no delivery charges and I love the smell
There’s a smell?

Can we start to accept now that when a link to a player becomes odds on out of the blue it actually means something can happen.
Get sick of hearing odds mean nothing.
I’d only say it’s true, when it’s a massive shift in a short time.
if it was always odds on since day one, then it means nothing

Yeah because he wants you to get the full " exclusive" behind the pay wall lol
I had a bit of a shock when I looked behind his OF paywall, hopefully his patron isn’t as horrifying

I saw £60k floating about. No idea, but still low risk especially with a rumoured low fee.
If that’s true, then that’s ideal. Still goes in to my theory that’s he’s a low risk/high reward player.

Also good to keep that boast that our midfield cost us £3.49p

So he was on about £40k a week at Luton.
im guessing we’ve upped up it, I wonder by how much

We could have 8 of these next season in the Champions League. Crazy really. We'll be linked with a 9th at some point this summer too I reckon, though it won't happen.
Naa, his wages won’t allow it, probably never will. Also the nation of Egypt won’t let him go

Really interesting...especially after being complemented with better players to improve the side that finished 11th, which is pretty much middle of the table. Just like last season, being complemented with a better manager for a team that was languishing in 17th. Very interesting indeed.
Great that players develop and with supplements of better players and managers they get even better. Amazing to happen at Villa and I hope Ross recent improvement improves us

Crazy..... I thought I said a number of.... not all.
Still interesting to know that a majority of that middling side is still at the club and competing in CL football next season.

No.... I'm not all over the place at all. Yes there are several midfield positions however, they're still in midfield which is what you initially dismissed with the silly gif rather than come back to me with a more sensible response. As for him changing roles, he may well have done, and yes, it may well have aided in the apparent upturn in his form at Luton. However, the standards he showed last time he was here were in no way at the required level required in the team we are now. We were at best a middling side with a number of bang average players that would never make it in the current set up.
To be that kind of dickish
6 of those bang average players just got us in the champions league
