    How do you know?

Based on that “reveal” of a portion of the shirt… it’s probably a lighter shader of blue.

Yeah the tease gives enough to suggest this version is the version

This is a mock up, colours may not be accurate. However, I’m fairly confident that this is what it’s going to look like

  2. Ngl, when Ross Barkley is on form he’s a real good player. Only lacked consistency. Let’s hope he has it now and Emery can get more out of him

Just check the date of the quote! In September 2020 it was a bit of coup to loan him from Chelsea.

😂😂😂 sorry, I dunno how I was a million pages off

Then Heck has worn you down into submission

😂 it’s not a fight or a struggle. It’s just an unpopular design. We all get use to it time and some will love it. Some will have it as a tattoo. Funny ol world

I would do the one on the RHS but the outer border is claret (so wouldn't be visible on this background) and the inner two are both the same colour blue so it's just a thicker border. It's not working with the white in between as the blue is just softened.

Ohhh I have many more versions, including that. It’s not really a showcase of possibilities, more than an expression I can’t find one I like more than the yellow lion on blue 😂

To play devil's advocate here, you keep showing this version of the Lerner badge, but that isn't how the badge looked digitally.

The detail was from the shirt manufacturer for that season, and there's nothing stopping Adidas from doing that again in the future.

    That’s fair a point..

has there been an embroidered that iteration of the Lerner badge?

I mean, if we are going to have a shadow around the lion, surely we have to do it with the lettering as well? Like, from a technicality POV?

You could, but not as necessary.. as the dropshodow (in this case) is creating a bit of separation between the light blue and yellow.  It’s a technical addition rather than an aesthetic choice

  8. If Barkley’s form has been as good as it’s claimed to be at Luton, then I’m not complaining about having him in a free and cheaper wages..

when he was with us, he looked amazing at times, but lacked the consistency desired. If he’s now found it, happy days

Hey, you seemed more supportive of the badge yesterday  or am I reading too much into it?

You are reading too much in to it.

I’ve never stated I liked the badge. I’m not a fan of the whole thing, but like elements of it. And the elements I like are things that are being used to expand on the branding. What’s nice.

But back to the badge, I don’t like the squished in “Aston Villa” at the bottom, with the shield tip emphasising the uneveness of the words. It would have sat nicer at the top with the lion below. and I don’t like the shirt to shield to lion contrast. a claret lion or the whole badge in mono colour gold or white

those two things fixed it go from being “fine” to being “good” maybe “pretty good” if we have the round badge lion.

my biggest beef is the process to get to the round badge was flawed, and heck’s solution fixes some stuff but not all. So we got a lot of meh fans from multiple sides

And like I said a couple of weeks back, I'm certain this is exactly what they wanted. The fan base are so bored of the badge stuff that they are more likely to just accept it.

I reckon if this badge was revealed 6 months ago there would have been far more backlash. but people just can't be arsed with it. And we've got CL so a lot of people will think it doesn't matter

There’s enough backlash. This thread is just an example and we just a small pocket. Twitter fans are just as vocal.

this hasn’t gone down well and it’s mostly due to Heck rushing this through and cutting fan input out to save time. But, I suspect the rush was from orders higher up

It’s the sort of article that could, perhaps, maybe, you know, go on our own website so that supporters can understand the thought process.

Naaa, not this article, it’s fine being external.

yet, supporter committees should ask Heck some hard questions about this at the next meetings
