Ramsey is like signing a new player......Kid looks a thoroughbred....and Keinan looks more composed too.
nice to see improvements...might save us some dough.
Ramsey i agree with but KD is still a player that doesn’t have goals in him but is able to hold the ball well... LW/ST and CM required immediately

If this post is said in jest incredible satire. If serious calm the farm
Having said that Traore impressed last night despite the opposition .. He seemed to have that flair we have been lacking .. he’s better than I anticipated.. however ill judge him after 15 games or so in the prem.

I don't like us reverting to our 2nd or 3rd choice targets but if we do end up with Buendia as a 3rd choice, that's tickerty boo with me.
Still want that Rash man so bad though.
But then we end up with two right wingers good player though.. we cant be done in the market i believe there are two more deals to be done ... one involves an attacking player and the other CM or CB.
-
Apparently no more rashica.. deal off ... goodness me are villa just going to not keep signing players that i really would like us to get.... im only asking for one .. first Benrahma fails and now rashica. Im not allowed that excitement im afraid

Zero faith? Because Elmo is preferred over Guilbert?
Seems a bit dramatic.
Agree about Cuisance and a LW.
Not really because then I would be concerned about what they are seeing in players.

They won't let Cuisance go after selling Thiago. He'll be getting game time this season.
I see them bringing a new cm and forgetting about cuisance ..if in the wildest dreams we wanted to poach him

We should look at loaning Michael Cuissance from Bayern Munich... 21 year old central midfielder who would be excellent to challenge with Mcginn and i still would want a Rashica type as LW ... apparently elmo is favoured over guilbert if that is the case i have zero faith in our management. Barkley will do i suppose but in an realistic world if we turned back on the interest we could go for cuisance.
Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Targett
Luiz
Mcginn/Cuisance
GrealishTraore Rashica
Watkins
Sub:Nyland,Guilbert, Hourihane,Davis,Hause, Trezeguet, Cuisance/Mginn

I’m inclined to agree with those who think that the Sarr story has been put out there to hurry WB. I feel certain that all is agreed with the player, and that WB have been informed by the player of this. If that is the case then WB have had leverage taken away, and their hopes of an auction are gone. Expect Rashica to be unveiled Friday morning, 9am.
I really hope you are right the wait is excruciating and it needs to happen asap!

I want Rashica or some winger signed in time to play our next match against fulham or play some part at least i dont want no waiting until deadline day that doesnt sit right with me. Why are we waiting 3 matches in to get a player that is priority and needed quickly imo.
-
Sarr would be amazing if we didn’t already bring in Traore Because then we could have had Sarr and possibly Rashica on either side now that would have been mouthwatering to watch.
-
Konsa was tonights MOM imo and i still feel a CB will be required to possibly rotate with him in case he drops in consistency. Cash looks like the best RB ive seen in years at VP albeit its only his first match ill not get carried away... still uncertain about Watkins definitely going to need more support closer to him around the box area.
Martinez I absolutely love the guy not just the superb penalty save but his attitude and desire and what he said about the club.. his statement alone was worth the money we paid for him.. he will always have a place in my heart aslong as he carries that attitude throughout his time here and thats what football is about.
Rashica and a CM please guys!

Lb is a real worry for me. Have to get Rachica in. A central midfielder would nice too.
What is all this about Barkley having a bad attitude? Where does it come from. Is anyone on here that even knows someone that knows him? I don't want us to sign him as I don't think he's the answer, but all this bad attitude, d***head, rocket polisher talk seems rather ridiculous, in an unfair way.
Extremely unfair and not true ... barkley has got a good attitude hes not a regular for chelsea but doesn’t kick up a fuss and puts in effort when called upon

Keep Fred, Rico Henry in tomorrow (doable, just pay it), get Rashica sorted then get a specialist MF and another striker, BEFORE FULHAM GAME.
All this would be nice but we wont have the budget for all that im afraid. Rashica and a centre mid at a push.

We need. LW and a CM. In that order. I would like CB 3rd choice as Hause is not the answer to any footballing question.
I agree hause makes me uncomfortable lol. I want rashica holding up that villa shirt this week and a CM would be okay but not essential if we bring grealish into the middle because then we remove hourihane from the equation. But it would be nice yes

so, for the 75m or so we have spent, how much of an improvement do we think it has actually made to the team?
Martinez - seems a very good GK, but we had Heaton at the start of last season, if Emil is an improvement on Heaton, its not a huge huge margin? - but possibly still an improvement.
Cash - potentially an improvement once he gets settled, do we think he will be an immediate improvement though?
Traore - possibly a fairly sizable upgrade on the RW, or also possibly an inconsistent marginal upgrade?
Watkins - appears to be an upgrade, if we can provide service, which we really struggled with last year, he could turn out to be a great signing....but if we arent creating the chances?
Its an interesting one for me, i think the signings have the "potential" to improve us quite a bit, but i also dont look at the 75m spent and conclude that its a 100% guaranteed improvement, in fact if it goes badly it may just be more of the same?
thoughts?
PS: im not trying ot be negative, im very hopeful for the new season, but i am trying to honestly assess if the 75m has actually made an instant improvement?, a mid/long term improvement?, or more of the same?
I hear you loud and clear and you have made a great analysis of the current affairs ... i agree its not filling me with much confidence.. i don't want to say too much as it can be seen as negative but i feel the money spent so far could have bought better quality players that we can feel more comfortable with going into the new season.. some of us might be getting carried away saying we will be a frightening team and so on.. but theres nothing there that indicates we will be anything close to frightening imo. Overall so far on the scale of 1-10 its 4 for improvement.

I hear many saying we trust in the club we trust in the board to do this and that .. well i just remember us signing swansea citys third choice striker That was enough for me

Dont worry I thought the same ive seen Cyprien play a few times after signing him on PES 19 ...hes the equivalent to lets say a James McCarthy in the Premier League .. but Ligue 1 will make him look more Wijnaldum . Not writing him off however but id prefer Barkley or RLC anyday as the step up for a CM from that league is enormous. I get horrible flashbacks to 2015-16 when i see players coming from ligue 1
