I’ve been a Villa supporter since 88/89 and since then I’ve known that majority of the time finishing above Man Utd usually brings you the title.

That’s how good they’ve been since then. I hope this is a regular occurrence for us to finish ahead of them.

Loving this all these years and its the first we’ve ever finished above them well the first for me anyway , i didnt even think i would ever see us above them considering how huge and successful they’ve been and we have been the complete opposite unreal 😆

Why do you think that? Both Arsenal and City are fighting for the title and the most in form teams in the league. I think Spurs will lose both.

We beat arsenal and liverpool also in the frame for the title have completely collapsed.. Anything can happen nerves and pressure have shown this, they wont be losing both imo but lets hope they do 🙏

  3. Spurs will get something against either Arsenal or City, hard to call which one , but feel it will be the city game and then comically this may hand the title over to Arsenal 👍 their record against City is probably better than anyone else’s in the last few years. We need two wins before our last match as i would not prefer to be like nervous norris watching this unfold with minutes left 😂

    Ins

Pavlidis ST/SS, Geertruida DM/CB/RB, Frimpong RWB, Gutierrez LB, Veerman CM, Hermoso CB/LB

    Outs

Digne, Cash, Coutinho, Sanson, Dendonker, Chambers, Hause, Lenglet, Zaniolo

    Like this list btw

But our main areas we need to purchase new signings for are simply RB and LW/LF.

Kosta is nowhere ready to be a starter but one for the future, hopefully we can improve our FFP position by selling Coutinho and Digne (who has been fantastic this season btw) it is possible that Ramsey is moved on but nothing concrete.

  5. Defence does not necessarily need a huge shake up imo, we only really need to concentrate on the RB position where Cash has not shown the consistency and quality required for what is to come for us as a club, we then require a LW/LF (Ideally a Nico Williams) Ramsey and Rogers not going to be sufficient quality enough to be starting against what potentially could be champions league opposition regularly.

We may well sign a new CM/DM and a backup forward for Watkins. Bailey and Diaby are excellent options on the right side so see no issues there.

We could just as easily lose, Spurs win, and then they are just 3 points behind with 2 games in hand.

Can't be overconfident or cocky I til the maths are concrete. We do this all the time then have a meltdown 😂

Quite easily too, far from impossible and thats why i am overly cautious and hoping some of us don't get ahead of ourselves and think Chelsea will be a clean sweep because this is not going to be straight forward especially after that huge loss they will be looking to bounce back heavy.

Nobody said it wasn't possible. Of course it's possible.

It's also possible that we can win the league. But nobody is saying we are because people recognise it's highly improbable that that will happen.

Blindly believing something will happen when it almost certainly won't doesn't make you some sort of better fan. And people who recognise how unlikely the outcome is aren't defeatist. That's just bullshit better fan bollocks

You’ve made your point clear enough its bizarre how some are even arguing against you quite laughable

Would mean spurs not beating them and having one less game to make up the points they need to overtake us. I'd take that.

Also means us not beating them too and in hindsight id drop points to Chelsea if it means we beat them, send Klopp off in style 😌… i think Liverpool will see them off especially at Anfield

If we beat Chelsea we finish officially above Scumchester united for the first time since 89/90.

My entire life I didnt think this was ever possible and now im ever so close to seeing this what a moment, now securing champions league will be a dream this will mean 100x more than winning ECL as i have always dreamed of us being part of it, FA cups, Premier League titles, Europa (Uefa) cup those are competitions i have grown up with and seen other clubs gain success and envied for so long and for that matter is is extremely important we qualify for this  as there is so much novelty in this.

Always wanted to win a FA Cup or Premier League at least once in my lifetime come on Emery work your magic 🪄

Chelsea were dreadful tonight but you just know they won’t be that bad Saturday night. They will get slaughtered tomorrow in the media no doubt and I bet Gusto and Palmer will be back for the game.

If we can score early feel like Chelsea capable of collapsing quickly but we don’t seem to have fast starts at Villa Park these days.

You just know IT ! ☹️ We will have to hope we can look past that and just win anyway

If you have them beating City and Arsenal, what do you see in this Burnley team that makes you think Spurs would only draw against them?!

Sometimes you analyse that specific fixture and not so much what a side is capable of because football is a funny old game

Generous I'd say to predict 2 draws against City and Arsenal and a win against Chelsea. Personally can't see Spurs getting to 70pts and certainly not 1 loss in 6, but they are very unpredictable. I'd also back us to get at least a point against Brighton as their season is all but over.

Whatever happens though I'll settle for any kind of gap between us and 5th. Be it 1 point or more.

They got smoked 4-0 at st james park last time out, they play the biggest derby for them in the next game at their home turf they will be forced to put on a performance and will be fired up, so they will not be losing that imo and of late they always do well against Man City and i feel they will be the team to cause an upset in the title race.

Things have been going well but i cant see us winning on saturday for some strange reason, of course i hope im wrong 😑

We draw at home to Chelsea and Spurs beat them away? I mean, it could happen, and Spurs could only lose one more game, but I don't see that myself.

You cant look at football like that , for example our win at the emirates but drew against brentford

Cant see us drawing three games we rarely draw tbf, i think i called the Liverpool win because i think Emery would like to avenge our defeat to them earlier in the season.

Building will commence just after lifting the CL trophy 😊

There's no dropping to UEL anymore in the new format, but it's far  likelier to qualify into playoff rounds with 24 teams going through. Basically the teams that would end up 3rd and move to UEL will move through next phase in CL.

Ohh really thats a shame then nothing really to gear us up in which case

  17. Just a innocent prediction on how the race will play out, is it brave to call a rare home win against the Merseysiders

Win Europa League 100%. European final, travelling around Europe and silverware.

CL is all well and good but we've time to get there and does very little for you if you get knocked out early. Look at some of the teams that have played in it over the last few years (Newcastle, Spurs, Leicester). They don't seem to have benefited from it.

See this statement we have time to get there is dangerous, it is difficult to get into top four extremely, so if you are within touching distance then you take it because the opportunity does not come around often there are too many super clubs however worst case scenario could be we would be eliminated from UCL early but drop into Europa and win it from there that way you get the best of both worlds, this manager we have brought Villareal to the semis of UCL anything is possible in which case.
