In fairness to him, he always does. It's rarely effective though. Quite often a liability, occasionally very helpful. On a night like tonight I think it will help.

The standard of refs in Europe has been  pretty poor all tournament. We need to put it beyond a bad ref deciding things for us.

And we should have enough to do that, but haven't really turned up since our goal was ruled out. Feel like we've let that decision decide how the game is going to go

That shirt pull by Lenglet is made by every defender on every corner. It's never given. How the ref saw it in real time and deemed it worthy of a foul is beyond me.

But the fact we've been shit since is not on the ref. Our defensive line is anything but straight, and Olsen just isn't Emi. We can't get away with things we can when he's in. 

Don't see us coming back, but stranger things have happened this season. And at least Chelsea are winning.

Wow. Glad I didn't contribute my thoughts to this thread at the time but I'm fairly sure they'd align with what everyone else was saying. Not one person voted for what actually happened.

Bailey had shown nothing, was costing a lot of money, but might have brought in a decent chunk of money. Philogene had a brilliant pre season and seemed to be undervalued by the club given what we eventually sold him for.

The right answer was definitely keep both.  Philogene would have had plenty of minutes with the injuries and drop off in form we've had from Diaby this season.

That assumes we didn't have to sell him for PSR/FFP purposes, which I suspect we did.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But also, worth remembering the outcome of this situation, and that Diaby could well be a world beater next season.

And also, players that struggle at another club  may just need Emery as their manager to start performing.

Not really sarcasm. The story of the packages of inhalers that ended up with Wiggins and were treating genuine cases of asthma in him and Froome, although not obtained by official routes were prescribed medication. Used within the limits supposedly.

Whether you think they cheated with them or not (I do, but no more than the rest of the field and they were found not guilty of it anyway), they still found ways to elevate themselves anove their peers. They worked in a way that meant they dominated the sport for a period, and it wasn't just down to doping.

United don't seem to have any kind of structure that is working, drugs or not.
