Marvelous and Luiz do everything way better than Conor apart from scoring goals. Is it really worth shoehorning him into the squad because he scores goals when his passing is slow and his positioning isn't that great? The latter is far more important to our attacking play than a couple of late runs into the box to be honest. If he plays, it has to be in place of Jack or John. He's quite comfortably the third worst DM in the team otherwise.
Not really I would consider goals more important than passing he has a knack of being in the right place at the right time and that can't be thought

Did you miss all the games he was ineffectual in lower division?
Just to be clear I meant as a sub as he has something different to our other stikers

We need kodja back the game needed him last he does the unexpected and drives at defenders which we need at the moment

Correlation isn't causation. There were plenty of factors that contributed to those goals conceded. Conor wouldn't be able to do anything about that Heaton howler on 45 seconds for example.
Yes you can say that but you could also say he might have closed the space down for the pass that led to Heatons mistake
A lot of defensive football is about anticipating danger and closing down the space
It doesn't even have to tackle but we'll never know that as he wasnt playing
-
When you look at we've conceded 4 goals when Conor was not on the field and only 1 when he was on
He can't be that bad defensively and what he offers going forward with set pieces in my opinion in this league especially as chances will be few and far between
If we can someone with his dead ball skills it's got be worth at least 10 goals a season which can only help us
For me it has be 4 2 3 1 formation with him and luiz sitting kinda similar to the way Leicester play

Honestly think we need hourihane in the team for his set pieces
I like to see something like this
Heaton
Elmo/Guilbert engels mings taylor/targett
Luiz hourihane
Mcginn grealish trez
Wesley

I mean if Dean and the team think we should get him, I'm right behind them. He'll probably be 3rd choice striker anyway, and it frees up Keinan to go on loan and get some real experience under his belt.
Definitely preferrable to getting a big name signing that will be competing with our record signing Wesley, unsettling the both of them.
Is mings not our record signing now

No team has managed a win streak longer than 7 games. Not sure what it is about that number 7 as im sure it was the same last season too. Our 8th game would be against Bristol.
Blackburn and Rotherham look easy on paper but they have both only lost 5 at home all season. Sheffield Wednesday have only lost 3. These 3 games will be very hard.
Home records have been crucial for teams in the lower half this season.
That's because they havnt played us yet

I know Tammy has done well for us but the amount of easy chances he misses is criminal for someone of his ability

Our fans are shit jeering our own players shocking
If there in a funk how are they going to get out of it with fans like that

I actually think we miss nylands distribution

For everyone getting on smiths back what do you want to do
His hands are tied at the moment with what he has to work with. The sad fact is our squad just isn't very good, there is no pace or energy in this squad.
As the old saying goes rome wasn't built in a single transfer window
And anyone saying he has to make what he has better is talking shite
As another old saying you can't polish a turd

Just not good enough
Too many old legs just not able to live with the movement of the young ones
No point having good technical players if they can't run
No chance of playoffs now barring a miracle

The refs in this league are beyond a joke, I’d say about 90% are absolute gash. They should definitely allow VAR in this league to make up for the pure turd on show. The difference between premier league refs and championship is ridiculous.
Absolutely they are shocking but why does it seem like all the decisions go against us it's like the refs have a vendetta with us

November and December you mean what 5 games? You do realise its a 46 game season? And as I said I looked forward to all the games last season. I'd prefer to look forward to ALL the games in the season not just the small amount we've had under Smith so far.
I don't see your point if your going to compare the 2 managers I think you have to compare the 2 first seasons as manager of the club and personally i think that Smith is slightly doing better than Bruce was at this stage of their aston villa tenure
I can't understand how Bruce was given so much time yet people are starting to question Smith already
He literally had one window and that's not even the good one
Let's get behind what he is doing and hopefully he brings back to where we belong
