    Fantastic name.

In their best ever season they finished above Bristol Rovers, Southampton and one of the teams that became Bristol City, only behind Swindon Town. However, that was about 120 years ago and while the Western Premier was a reasonable division back in the 1890s, it's now the 9th tier and they struggle in it, if they're even in it at all.

Nah there’s enough pirates on here already and we prefer to talk to the founding club of the city 🤣

I don't think you'll find any Roman Glass St George fans on here.

Oldest club in the city but they only get crowds of about 50.

Must have been physically draining though. Draw on Saturday might not be in the worst result in the world. Key thing is do not lose!!

    Huge game on Saturday.

Win would be huge for either club, defeat probably hurts you guys more because of ourselves and Derby having a game in hand.

Welcome to the Bristol Wednesday forum.

I propose a kit for this "Bristol Wednesday"

Take the red from Bristol City, and the white stripes from Sheffield Wednesday.

I'm sure @ASOWL would have no objections to that.

Rest Grealish tonight he looked tired second half at Hillsborough..McGinn looked a bit "wan" as well..rest him...Mings looked rather pale..rest him tonight...

You need these players against Bristol City..Who I will allow you to beat

We will then reciprocate by beating Bristol City on Easter Monday...(promise)

Further instructions will follow..All these instructions will allow Wednesday and your good selves to reach the play offs, then devil take the hindmost

    You know it makes sense...

    *Bares teeth*

    Grr...

What’s so great about their fans? Genuine question.

I must admit, I was thinking the same when viewing all those empty seats on TV tonight, for their game to get back into the play-offs.

What I will say is our fanbase is still growing, we would easily sell out our allocation at Wembley, and would have been able to for years, but just a handful of years ago 13k was what we'd be expecting for a home game, maybe down to 10k on an evening midweek.

When we reached the playoff final 11 years ago, our average crowd was a shade over 16k. Our lowest league attendance is over 2k more than that. And I realise compared to Villa those are still pretty low numbers, but we haven't achieved half the things Villa have. Our best ever finish is 2nd in the First division over 110 years ago and a FA Cup runners up about 110 years ago.

It's Bristol though. Lee Johnson will come out tonight with his cock hanging out,  giving it the big I am...and then lose the next 7.

He is getting better at not doing that.

After we'd played 34 games, we were 12 points behind a Boro side who had played 33.
After we've played 40 games, we are 2 points ahead of a Boro side who have played 41.

    6 games for a 14 point swing :o

We had a similar thing with Leeds when we went on our 9 game winning run.

Never even considered you a playoff place threat but the way you’ve been playing you could go on and win it!

We'll probably lose to Hull last day of the season to finish 7th.

It's destined to be Hull, as they're the team who beat us in the Playoff final when Lee Johnson played for us.
