Well your club might be tempted with dendonker at that price as he fits dyche’s tactics and chambers is easily worth £5mill plus and isn’t a bad player for a mid to low prem team … when your lot sell braithwaite can see you getting him … so be careful when you mock 😂

Everton and Villa are both my clubs. I’m not mocking anyone, just being a little more realistic than you are and who is really being insulting here?

I'm still thinking if we could sell say:

    Olsen - 8 mill?

    Dendonker - 7 mill?

    Chambers - 2.5 mill?

    Carlos - 12.5 mill?

Iroegbunam ( Sell with sell on or buyback ) - 5 million?

That's circa 35 mill, plus the other deadwood we get off the books and wages.

Wonder how much this would help.

The only issue is how long it would take to make these deals and getting the actual players wanting to move.

Have I missed anyone else we can move on without affecting our core?

Do we then throw Gauci in at the deep end as backup keeper etc?

    Balancing act.

Also why Luiz is mooted as a highly saleable asset which could address issues immediately and have alot of immediate interest, unfortunately.

Dendoncker 7m like really?  Chambers 2.5m?

Villa aren’t getting anything for those players other than maybe their wages off the books.

Yep, I mentioned this the other day. The average expected fee we thought we might get for Luiz has probably dropped by 25%.

Thing is it's all media speculation and could be a load of bollocks.

For some considerable time now media have got it wrong concerning Villa's targets in the transfer market and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they're stoking up a fake honets nest concerning Villa's FFP situation.

Sit back, enjoy the Euros while Emery surprises everyone who his targets are.

    Nah. Recency bias.

He was knackered. Dead on his feet at the end of the season. That's when he had no consistency.

Nonsense. Luiz has a good game every one in 5-6.

Villa fans seem to be totally blinkered to that. McGinn is far more consistent.

Maybe we should buy Koopmeiners and really piss on their chips.......he's a great player.

Have watched Koop several times and never been impressed. No thanks.

I am very, very happy that you are not involved in any of our transfer decisions.

This is just absolute drivel, I'm sorry.

No worries at all. It is just my opinion of the player.

We also should capitalise on our new status......These champions league places don't come around too often....we need to take advantage of that.

No disrespect, but we could sign Weston McKennie, if we finished mid table.

Pretty much the above. It's an opportunity to kick on a level and close the gap to the usual top four by bringing in CL quality players.

The opportunity may not be there for some time again?

  8. I know he played for Emery before and previously linked to him so Guendouzi would be a great signing in a position Villa need. Currently on loan so probably available.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him at Villa next season.

  9. Barkley isn't a DM therefore not a direct replacement for Kamara.

He's either a 10 to give Diaby a kick in the arse or a forward thinking mid like McGinn but can't play in a two.

Has no defensive capability at all.

His Ball Recoveries and Aerials Won are big plusses… but I suspect the main reason Unai is interested is to aid Ball Retention. As well as being a low cost, high value deal…(hopefully it’s a short term one).

It’s quite clear and obvious that Unai values more technical players over anything else… we have to be able to pass and keep the ball as well as possible.

Control and structure is always what he is looking for… if we can add a bit of power and tenacity to that… all good.

Emery may see Barkley as a ten who can put pressure on Diaby to perform better?

Id love both but that would cost in excess of 100m and FFP restricts us unfortunately.

I think eze might end up at spurs or chelsea which will be annoying as i love him as a player

No one really knows how restricted Villa or any other team are.

CL qualification, league placement and loans sent back plus sales should give Villa a much bigger budget in the summer. FFP rules are also going to be changed.

I fully expect Villa to be very active in the summer and they’ll need to be.

Eze or olise should be our number one priority.  Both players could take us next level so either one id be delighted with.

If it means selling JJ to get of thwm id reluctantly do it

    Should be targeting both!

Didn't see the game today but I expected a defeat before and certainly after the team was announced.

I think Emery was very cute today in choosing the team he did. It sent a very strong message to the owners that there is a real lack of quality in depth within the Villa squad! It was also a last chance for those players to convince the manager they were worth keeping.

I fully expect a revolving door concerning transfers in the summer to allow the manager to at least be competitive next season again as a lot of the current squad have reached their sell by date.

I think Villa is going to be shopping in the Free transfer market this summer supplemented with some low priced “wantaways” and high potential youngsters

maybe 1 or 2 marquee signings if we got/get the budget

Find it strange people are doubting the budget available with the owners Villa have. If you mean FFP then rules are going to be changed. As one Villa mate said to me Villa are going to be shopping in Harrods this summer! Increased revenue from finish in Premier League, CL qualification, loans going back and player sales.

I enjoy reading about transfer speculation of Jack Grealish coming back to Villa (let's face it, there wouldn't be that speculation if we weren't doing so well), of which there's been plenty online recently. But it just seems really like one of those really bad fits that's fun to imagine -- and awful to map out in reality. Jack just doesn't seem like a player that would fit into the Villa Way anymore. If anything, Unai might be "more Pep than Pep" when it comes to meticulous control, and if Grealish is struggling with Pep, I think it could even be worse with Unai.

No pace, too many injuries and Pep has made him into a sideways player. No thanks.

Olise and Eze are the players Villa should be hunting down.

  15. CL qualification will mean there will be little to worry about concerning FFP.

In addition there will be several outs with wages off the books such as the loan signings.

I also think Luiz could be sacrificed if needed to bring in better but I’d expect a very busy summer at the Villa if CL is achieved.
