When introduced to us and we were told he was Scottish he stood bolt up upright, saluted and belted out at the top of his voice every verse of Flower of Scotland.
I think I’ve seen that video of your brother and his engine stoking mates:

Anyone know if he’s formally signed yet?

He could well improve to the degree Targett has… would be a useful member of the squad, good attitude, competition for Cash.
Can we not sign a new RB for once? And concentrate on more pressing areas for improvement…
Agreed. I’d like to see how Fred can perform in the current Villa team, not the one that nearly went down the season before. So many players made great strides in terms of progress last season - notably Targett and Konsa, and It would be interesting to see how Fred would be in the far stronger defensive unit we have now. Im sure he could provide capable back-up to Cash if he’s prepared to accept that role.

Wow, thats shocking, I had just presumed it would be the same money for similar sized clubs.
I dont understand why we cant rake in the same amounts as some perceived "bigger" clubs. We have a massive fan base, surely thats what sponsorships would look at, rather than where a team finished in the league? We have more fans than Man City and Chelsea so you'd imagine companies would rather expose themselves to more people. Especially when you consider some of these teams have separate sponsors for league and Europe.
I stand to be corrected but I think when the Cazoo sponsorship deal was agreed and announced we were staring relegation in the face and could quite possibly have been a Championship side last season. Presumably there were conditions written into the deal that covered relegation, but maybe that’s why Villa weren’t on a level footing with Everton when it came to negotiations?
Thank heavens for Hawkeye eh?

He really is the poster boy.
I get the impression that the FA would like it to be Kane, but the press always ask for/show Jack.
I think the problem is that Kane looks too much like a Captain Scarlet puppet.
Jack is on the way to being the new Beckham I reckon.
Kane’s Bruce Forsyth look clearly doesn’t hold the same appeal with the press.
Even if he does usually have a good game, good game.

Clearly sucking it in there. Looks shopped any way. Not enough fingers.
He’s from Argentina, not Norwich.

Mistake letting Guilbert leave on loan IMHO. Don’t get me wrong, I love Elmo, he’s been a brilliant servant for the club, but his best days are past him and can’t help but think Guilbert would be a much better fit for what we need at the moment.
Looked to me like there was a lot of room for improvement with Fred. When you look at how Nakamba has improved with a much better all-round team, and how Targett has developed under the current set up, I think Fred could also have progressed, and could plug the gap left while Cash is out.

Didn't Eddie Howe win League One and the Championship with Bournemouth?
Pretty similar sized club to Brentford tbf
You make him sound like a miracle worker but fail to mention that they were bankrolled by a Russian millionaire, were guilty of breaching financial fair play etc. Light years from Walsall’s situation. Unfair comparison with Brentford too.

Can see why Lyon fans got fed up with him if they were seeing mostly this..

It’s good for a laugh - especially if Fulham beat Palace - but Fulham’s run of games after that is horrific.
Newcastle’s run of games is awful from April onwards, ending with Sheffield United at home then away to Fulham on the last day. If they’ve got to go to Craven Cottage and get a result...

I’d always assumed it to be a severely malfunctioning Caps Lock on one’s keyboard.

Plenty of positives to be taken from today:
1. Other than Rotherham, which was pretty much a given, all the other teams around them - Coventry, Derby, Forest and Huddersfield - won. That must be pretty disheartening for the vermin.
2. Karanka stays in charge for now.
3. Agent Hogan’s cover hasn’t been blown.
This is still very much on.
(First time in my life I’ve celebrated a Coventry win).

Looking forward to seeing Morgan Chanson D’Amour play a full 90 minutes.
Really pleased we got The Manhattan Transfer over the line.

Naturally Sangyung will want to impress so I'm sure he will be bang up for it if/when he gets a start. Dean will want to make sure he's acclimatised before handing a start but look forward to seeing him. Personally I want to see someone who can put some pace on the ball when passing.... its something we're pretty poor at and it drives me mad!
It’s marvellous what auto-correct is doing for this thread. So far our new signing has been changed to Kenny Sansom, a spice made from dried berries, and a South Korean car manufacturer.
Maybe we should stick with Morgan?

Say what you like about Leeds but their games are never boring. They’re a breath of fresh air to be fair. If they weren’t a bunch of man-bun wearing toss pots with arrogant words removed for fans, I’d actually quite like them.
