With some highly talented youngsters running around you'd hope.

Thomas Sorensen has gone from A-League keeper of the year last season to sitting on the bench at Melbourne City this year but managed to watch his side win the FFA Cup the other week.

Never thought I'd see Steve Bruce as manager of Aston Villa, let alone enjoying his reign!

Very important month of games coming up. From Dec 3 - Jan 2 we have 7 games (at Leeds, v Wigan, at Norwich, at QPR, v Burton, v Leeds and at Cardiff). If we can get a decent haul of points out of that lot we should find ourselves in the playoff places before our first FA Cup game.
Then we have to deal with ACON...

Answer however you want but I'd be interested to hear:
- Geelong, Australia
- I go to 1-2 Melbourne Victory games per season, but if Geelong were to join the A-League I'd support them. I'd also probably get behind a club if Xia bought them like Man City have done with Melbourne City.
- After the 1998 World Cup as a 13 year old I became really interested in football and with little world football highlights available back then the premier league was the most attractive choice. My uncle became a Liverpool fan and said I had to pick a club as long as it wasn't Manchester United. I looked at my options and fell in love with the name Aston Villa, have been obsessed ever since.

Got an assist from a set piece on the weekend against Monaco. Seems to be in a decent patch of form at the moment.

What?- we have won 3 times already this season. You want more?
My appetite for winning is insatiable, we've been starved! Demanding I know

why?
Ok, maybe not "must win" but if we are to continue this good run of form and look to push for the playoffs/promotion we have got to take our chances against sides in the relegation zone at home.

Need to win this.

Extremely lucky he didn't cost us the game. Just a battler.
-
Signs today that he is slowly improving after the injury. Still a fair way to go though.

He might have done better for the goal as it wasn't the most powerful strike in the world but he is looking a lot more impressive now. The quick clearance that got Adomah killed was excellent too.
To be fair, it did cop a deflection.

Won all of the headers today. Stiff that his deflection sent the equaliser into the back of the net.

Scored for Etienne on the weekend

My boys Hertha have started off well again.

Brett Holman was interviewed by Fox Sports Australia about his career and coming back to Australia. Here's what he said about his time at the Villa:
QuoteAston Villa. Huge club, how do you classify your one season there?
If you look at it now, as to when I was there (2012-13), I was halfway through the phase of a sinking ship in a sense, if you talk how big the club is, and they are huge.
But it was just a shambles, all over the place. It was a sinking ship and they got relegated and were an absolute disgrace last year. Thankfully they got new owners in and I wish them all the best because the people around the club are just fantastic, proper club people working for years there. My time, though, was doomed from day one. You walk in to do your medical and the manager that brought me in (Alex McLeish) is walking out with his boxes! I said ‘what’s happening?’ He said: “just got sacked”.
What, it actually happened like that?
No word of a lie. I did my pre-contract in February, but had to do another medical at the end of the season in May, and, no kidding, I’m walking in and he walks past!
Did you say “all the best”?
Nah, he said it to me! Holland and Europe is really different, signings don’t go off the manager, they go off the whole technical department, and philosophy of the club. In England, the manager signs wholly. Paul Lambert comes in and doesn’t want to prove the last manager right because of the last guy’s signing. That’s how it works in England. Like Man U, Mourinho brings in Zlatan, he wants to get out Schweinsteiger, van Gaal’s signings. And I didn’t know that, I thought the club wanted me. Obviously the manager did. So that hurts. I still enjoyed it, but it got to the stage where he (Lambert) said “you’re the other guy’s signing, and I don’t want you here”.

I thought we'd win the previous two games...therefore 7-0 loss.
-
We're going to win this one. Hoodoo over.

Browns find another way to lose.
-
We'll have this one. 2-0.

Thought I'd show up after two game weeks off....

Stoked. Would love a young Aussie to make Villa his long term home and not go the way of Lowry & Herd etc.
