  1. No still nothing on the ticket exchange front :(

Anyone know what's happening on that front? There's hardly any tickets left!

Have emailed the club twice about this with no response , we are having a new partner to be announced on the 27th july!!!

  2. It may not be Sherwoods signing but Sherwood surely isn't blind either. He's seen those goals in pre-season, he's seen that the lad for all of his playing time has bagged 6 or 7 goals in about 11 games counting pre-season.. As much as a manager likes to stamp his authority you don't stamp all over a goal scorer. A loan may be on the cards but he'd be mad to sell the only player in the squad consistently scoring right now.

The only time he's been a regular goal scorer is when he played in the Czech second division.
And Gestede when playing in the English second division. And Ayew for one season in a second rated league. And Gabby under Martin O'Neill only.

And Benteke in the unrated Belgian league.

And Adebayor only sporadically. But at least he has done it before.

I didn't say he can't become one. I just said he hasn't been so far in his career.

Apart from the 11 goals in 18 europa games for Lazio i might agree!
He scored 8 Europa league goals.

And in that entire season those were the only goals in 31 appearances he made for Lazio and Czech Republic.

Ill repeat myself libor has played 18 times in the europa league , in which he score 11 goals

    Nah its okay actually.

Oh and ignore the little brown 'football traffic' signs they send you the long way around, sounds like you know where you are going though.

    Cheers buddy.

Hi Trent , was think of parking at county hall , is that ok for away fans?

  8. I have to tip my hat to the team behind the scenes, including Randy, for sticking out for the full wedge. Real shame to see him go but he is honestly, for me, the best player I have ever seen in our shirt. For that I am proud, grateful and will also continue to give Christian my full support whenever I see him play.

He is a special individual that has all the attribute it takes to get to the top of the game, we had a few mishaps, mistakes and a few shaky moments, but I blame his agent and also his immaturity being a young man in a new climate trying to attain his own ambitions. I think now he is a different man; he has ensured we got a healthy profit from his sale by allowing such a clause to be placed in his contract, he gives his all on and off the pitch, he has developed as a player and as a man.

When he comes back to Villa Park as in a different shirt, I hope our own fans get behind him and sing him his song.

Christian, The Big Man, The Beast - I, for one, will never forget him.

I fully appreciate , firstly , the goals from Christian over the last few years , and secondly , the handsome transfer fee received , and i thank him for his part in that. My generosity however could never stretch to singing the name of an opposing player , he is the same as any other opposing player to me now!

  9. I've read about a failed medical at Hull but I've no idea how serious it is.

I know that sounds contradictory but Loic Remy failed a medical at Stoke if memory serves. I suppose every club would take a different view, would be interested to see how he gets on at his next medical.

Think it was a couple of years back

  10. Looks to tall for me to be delph , it was someone on man city forums saying its Robinho , the photo was also put on at 5am this morning  , bit early dont you think?

  11.

I'll probably get abuse for this but deep down i hope someone meets the buyout clause and we get the cash. I think Benteke is world class and i love the man for keeping us up for three seasons. But being realistic, i think the way we will progress up the table is to reinvest this money in 3 10-12 million type quality players. IMO if benteke stays we probably are fighting relegation again, if he goes and we bring in these 3 players then we move towars mid table. Its a gamble but sure what isnt with our funds.

Assuming someone bids and meets the clause (which as far as I know no one has yet), we still won't have 32 million to spend. Something like 8m goes to Genk, then as Benteke hasn't requested to leave he'll get some sort of payout, plus whatever lawyers and agents cream from it.

I would guess the cash we end up with is actually closer to 20 million than 32.

Is genks share not 15% of the profit? , or at least what is being reported.
