Go on you good thing ye!!!
-
People talking about O'Neil as though he was some kind of God really piss me off, he did the ultimate betrayal on this club, he walked away. He is a clearing in the woods who deserves nothing but contempt the little word removed
**** agree. **** O'neill stitched us right up....prick
Me too. 5 days before the season begins.................B**tard!!
-
Good cross Young
-
C'mon Villa.
-
I wish Gabby was playing. Carew has no pace which means the Arse back four can push up and play at leisure. Also poor Clark isn't having the best of days..oh for a fit NRC...bloody injuries have left us rightly ****!!
-
That was horrible to watch.
-
How did Bannan do today? Haven't seen the game unfortunately.
-
I've no problem with Sidwell playing as long as he turns in a performance like against Sunderland. One of the few positives from that match.
-
Pity about the result. They were first to every ball first half and closed us down really well but didn't look like scoring till Dunne put them ahead. Lack of communication between him and Collins for that goal.
Second half we looked better and I was pleasantly surprised by Sidwell who I thought had a good game as did NRC. Saw the two sides of Heskey..some great battling to win the ball on occasion but terrible miss second half.
We really do miss Gabby at the moment.
-
We missed Heskey went he went off. Carew was nowhere near as threatening. Albrighton had a good first half but faded badly in the second. Felt centre mid did well with both NRC and Petrov having good games. Expected more from Ashley Young today who was not as influential as he cam be.
Don't think there was much in it except that they have Van der Vart who's finishing was superb.
-
Bannan and Ireland coming on.............good.
-
Why no substitutions???
-
Petrov, AGAIN. Shit.
What???
-
This abuse of Carew is a bloody disgrace!
Yeah...I agree. If it's not Carew then it's Heskey or Petrov....always very keen to slate our own players!
-
Petrov doesnt like shooting.
He's played well today though, hasn't he?
-
Lennon should never have been allowed to cross that!! Well done Petrov, again!!
-
No reason we can't get another goal. We have made them nervous anytime we attack. All this "think we'll lose it" is bollocks. They are there for the taking.
-
They've been crossing from all angles.really think Cuellar would have been the better option against Crouch!!
-
Luke Young's gotta get closer on Bale. He's dangerous when he gets into a position to cross it.
-
Simply magnificent Heskey...Brilliant determination. Superb play!!
-
Big Brad and Luke Young are the only Villa players who can be satisfied with their performances today..oh and Collins wasn't too bad but just wish he'd stop hoofing it!! We were alright first half but when Ireland was replaced we lost creativity and midfield was overrun again. Gabby looks very rusty. Downing held his leg after every half tackle, Warnock is getting worse as the season progresses, Dunne is not up to it at the moment, poor Ashley Young ran and ran but to no avail....
Houllier can't start soon enough for me. Perhaps the players will settle now that we have a proper manager. There's a lot of work to be done but I think we have the makings of a good side and hoppefully Houllier can sort them out.
-
Why would we go after managers that are unemployed, generally they are unemployed for a reason.
Proberly has something to do with us either not wanting or able to afford the compo.
I wil let you decide which
Houllier will be a good appointment, and Macca is a good coach. We will be fine with them two.
But if Staunton is let anywhere near the first team squad, then you can expect some player unrest, cos he can cause an argument with a mirror. I would even hazard a guess, that Stevie Ireland wont want to stay in the same room with him.
Its a paper talk anyway, so im not going to get myself in a lather about it just yet.
I still think we will be pleasently suprised.
This reference to Ireland not wanting to be around Staunton is rubbish. From what I remember Ireland's apparent problem was among his team mates and them slagging him off about his ridiculous hair implants. Staunton even forgave him after his ·"deceased" Granny was found alive and well and baking scones down in "Cock".
I think Stan showed a lot of patience and tolerance regarding Ireland's very immature carry on. Friction between theses two shouldn't be a problem imo.
-
Cuellar and Dunne. I just think Collins despite all his qualities is prone to the odd mistake or two. Cuellar is, for me , the most consistent of the three. I think if he was given an extended run of games at centre half we would appreciate him more. Has taken a lot of unfair stick from some on here.
-
Great to get a win after the horrors of the previous week. Really last ditch defending at times against a team which doesn't have a striker to speak of. An awful lot of work to be done yet. Hopefully that will be sorted when we get a new manager in. Just grateful that we won though.
