Was just about to post this, one of the greatest letters I have ever had the pleasure to read.

Grealish possibly being flogged in the summer - would he fit in an Emery team?
I would definitely have him back, quality player. Fee and wages would be a huge issue though sadly

Just downloaded it and haven't played in the best part of a decade. A little overwhelmed with all of the options for absolutely everything
Thinking of starting in non league and learning the game rather than being thrown straight in with Villa

I miss the days when this thread was about links to players we might sign or general made up nonsense, rather than a never ending circular debate whether we will buy anyone or can buy anyone.
Generic obvious repeatable comments - we will only sign players that will improve the team, dont panic its been a week, unai has a list of targets, if we cant buy any of our targets this window then we wont
To keep on topic i would be fully onboard with Frimpong if we could make this happen. Although another ST would be great I genuinely think we have enough cover if Ollie had to miss a few games. Duran and Diaby could plug the gap but longer term would be a concern. Be interesting to see if we manage to move some of the dead wood this Jan

Grealish was brilliant for us and his run of form was instrumental in us escaping the championship. For that I will be forever grateful and I don't think we would be in the position we are now without his sale to Man City and the influx of money and spotlight he shone on us while he was here.
He left us, I was bitter and angry. Now however I couldn't care less as he is no longer a Villa player. I would neither cheer nor boo him
Would I have him back? Of course I would for the right price, he is an extremely talented player.

Having an absolute mare trying to get tickets to the Sheffield game. Put 2 in my basket last night, sat right near the tunnel for me and my lad but couldn't purchase as he wasn't recognised as a member. Rang them today, they are going to investigate and get back to me. Thats fair enough but he has been a member since July, by the time they get this sorted we wont be able to get nose bleed seats let alone pitchside. So frustrating and disappointing as i had promised to get him a ticket to this game. They couldn't even transact it over the phone for me

Can't find a better place for this I don't think. What age is it appropriate for your kid to have their girlfriend/boyfriend to stay and let them share a bed? Specifically in this case a lesbian relationship.
It is not my daughter but my partners, I questioned my partner on it and she said "nobody is going to get pregnant", which, whilst accurate is not really the point.
My lad is 10 and a half so not really at this stage yet but for me it would be 16 and also after confirming with whoever his partners parents are. Pregnancy inst my concern, its just the rules that i would apply in my house. If he wants to go off elsewhere I cant stop that however as my dad always said "my house, my rules". Sounds like you are in a tricky situation, I wish you the best of luck.

If I was female I would offer to have his babies, that is how much I love this man already

So I am off here on Honeymoon next month, was wondering if anyone else had been recently and had any must see places or things to do?
We are in the North and are there for 10 days, we have a few trips already in the pipeline (rum and tea tour, diving with turtles/sharks).
We will probably have a day trip over to Port Louis as well towards the end.
I have seen also that there are stricter bans on smoking there now which as a smoker will be interesting, i had no intention to smoke on the beaches in restaurants etc anyway but I cannot find much info on smoking around the hotel, smoking areas etc.

Think my tongue in cheek message has clearly not gone down the way intended.
My actual thoughts are he has had a good couple of games and I hope as others it continues. My concern is that 2 weeks ago most would have been happy to see him go and be replaced (including me). His wage could solve world hunger, for a player that will not be first choice its a lot to have sat on the bench. At this point i would be happy if he stayed but equally if he went and we reinvested some of the money on another LB I wouldn't be heart broken
To summarise his last 2 games have really messed with my head and I have no idea what to think now

Rubbish. Is Ollie suddenly a bad player because he scored a hat trick against them? It’s a nonsense argument
I think you have missed the convo between SteveO and Macandally
This was tongue in cheek

Digne only played well because it was Hibs, everyone needs to calm down.

I know we are shopping at a different level but isn't Vlahovic on £275k per week? Surely thats too much for us currently?

Any news on when the away kit is being released?
-
while on the subject of coffee, the fact a flat white costs me more money than a latte, its the same drink but with LESS milk
-
If its only the PL/English leagues doing this though wouldn't that just mean that the best players will all play abroad where there is no cap?
-
Thanks all, will get the memberships now and stick my name on the ever growing list

Does anyone know roughly how long the waiting list is? Looking at getting season tickets soon for me and my lad, circumstances have changed and im fortunate enough to be in a position where i can now afford them and more to the point can both go (older now so could attend midweek games). ideally family stand or upper Holte however will literally take what i can get. Appreciate this wont be any time soon

I’d almost guarantee the players couldn’t give a flying f…. They will still have won the trophy
Exactly this, the players compete on the field. If they have overspent etc it is not their concern. If Man City were bribing referees then obviously thats different, but its not.
Congrats to Jack on a great season, I have moved on

How are they gonna get De Gea's massive wages out of their books?
He won't have many suitors when he's on that money.
They are a horribly run club and will pay the prize for it.
Didnt De Gea just take a huge pay cut? Granted he was on 375k a week and im not sure what it is now

They have only released the football bets and have stated that he bets on multiple other sports including casino. If he is spending a considerable amount of his money on bets then that is an issue. Obviously doctors etc have been involved and he has been diagnosed, not sure why people feel the need to query someones addiction with limited information.

Would love to see Everton down after the way some of their fans behaved this season, cant see it though.

Watched him only a couple of times after his Mortal Kombat days, and have to say I've not been impressed. However, if Unai wants him then it's perfectly fine for me.
This upcoming transfer window will be the easiest one to follow as a fan. Whatever Unai wants I'm totally happy with. Ideally, I'd love us to keep Emi, Mings, Kamara, McGinn, Buendia and Watkins but whatever - Unai knows best. I only hope the decisions about who stays, who goes and who's brought in would be in the club's hands, i.e. no unexpected transfer requests, etc.
Beyond that - whoever they get I'll happily support. Unai knows.
What VT reads into that is that you want to get rid of JJ at all costs - how very dare you

I went with Everton, its very close between Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool to be honest but thought I would select a non big 6.
Mainly due to the fans and the handling of where they are in the league (confrontation of players with kids in the car etc). It just sticks out, I completely understand that they are angry and are venting their frustrations however stopping players cars after games to have a pop is not the right way to go about it. I think some people forget in the heat of the moment that footballers are humans with lives and families, none of them deserve the treatment that they have been receiving

Feeling amazing today but that ref, needs investigating. Got to be the worst performance I have seen from a ref in years
