Trouble is,  we have fans that never wanted him and want to see him fail so they tell all they were right,  some are the same fans that think we should of kept Deano as he was 1 of us,  see he's doing brilliantly at Norwich this season.

We could win the next 10 games and lose game 11 and the haters would come out agon with the pitch forks for Gerrard.

He's our manager,  you back him till he's no longer with us,  or maybe go and support Man City in the Emptyhed.

I totally agree wasn’t particularly happy with the appointment but his here. His been here 9 months had one pre season and played 2 games . But we have threads such has “ next villa manager” Villa talk is all about debate amongst VILLA fans but the constant negativity is exhausting.

I would suspect, you are younger than me and subsequently more savvy with Social Media.....I do not venture on to twitter, instagram and face book etc, etc.

So this is it for me.....I don'r really venture on to other villa media sites either.....loyal soul me.

Yeah, I guess your point is valid.

Watkins need 4- 5 chances to score - not prolific at this level for me

Mings  - will make a mistake in most games may go unnoticed may cost us a goal , however he is very good in the air and the only  leader we have and still should be a first choice CB at villa .

all opinions I guess and it’s down to the Manager who we all need to get behind Saturday.

It's not that though is it. How many of us sat last season and watched this exact blueprint of football played out repeatedly?

Managers salary has gone up. Season tickets have gone up. Wage bill has gone up.

The football has been the worst since Bruce.

He wasn’t my choice of manager , but we (really hate to quote this ) give him time . Half a season and 90 minutes into a new season not matter how disappointing the performance is isn’t enough time . If after 5 game mark performance and results don’t change the pressure will be on the board.

  4. And so the villa merry go round goes on ! If pep came here with poch as his number 2 we still wouldn’t be happy .
SG was Not my choice of manager but his here !

His had half a season and 90 minutes and here we are “ Big Sam maybe “

Well I for one am delighted that we as a fanbase have stepped up this season and decided on our scapegoat before a ball has been kicked. So many teams fans wait for actual football to be played before deciding what player to deride and abuse but not us. Great work team

It’s nothing new just keep looking through threads .if it’s not JM it’s SG being a secret football spy employed by the Anfield secret service to destroy villa from within and turn the claret slowly to Red.
    😉😉

Seems to be many opinions on here

I agree McGinn is totally underestimated. Just glad SG understands what makes a good midfielder !

To be honest, I thought McGinn was the weak link in our midfield last season.

I’m really staggered by that mate . McGinn in my opinion dose a great job in the villa midfield, totally seems to go under the radar his work rate and hassle he provides. I’m glad SG our manager and a good midfielder in his time makes the calls .

    Well no excuses for Steve.

If were expecting to finish around european places we should be beating teams and taking maximum points against the likes of Bournemouth, Everton, Crystal Palace and at least drawing against Wet Spam.

We need to also start taking points off the so called big teams at some point.

Football never ever works as simple as that . The first 4 or 5 fixtures always throw some unusual results , look at Arsenals start last year. As for playing promoted teams early season this again can be difficult early on . They are high in expectation and riding high from promotion the crowd and general momentum. It’s a long season we will have players that will need to settle as well .

Per 90 stats would tell a different story.

Regarding Conte, don't believe every transfer story you read.

Absolutely pal his stars on the official premier league are shocking 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

He doesn't work as hard/get involved as much as people think he does.

The stats are different mate , Im AMAZED he is so underrated by some fans. I guess Conti is a crap judge of a player .

I love McGinn as a person, and some aspects of his game are good, but if opposition fans watched him week in week out, I'm sure they'd share the same frustrations as many of us. He's just not an intelligent player IMO, and that limits him.

I’d disagree mate , he is our most consistent player . He dose all the unspectacular stuff that goes unseen . He has also played a little deeper for us than he would prefer . Lots of   Big clubs would love him , and he would be a major loss to us .

  12. We need to give him some time , can’t judge on this season alone comparing SG to DS is ridiculous .
he will be judged on next season and he has lot to do . I think we have a lot half decent midfielders that simply  don’t fit he needs to hopefully resolve that over the coming weeks . Might be some difficult decisions to be made.

  13. We needed to move the ball a lot quicker last night in order to move Burnley around and out of shape . We didn’t really achieve this  and given the players we had on the pitch that is disappointing. Pope did make some great saves we didn’t create enough clear cut chances.
