I don't think Moyes is available/will come. I also think that it is too soon for Rodgers who will want a break. Pearson is a total nutjob so I really hope it's not him. That leave Garde who I know nothing about - into the unknown then!

I too don't think Moyes will come, all these reports in the press that Moyes wants the job must be unsettling for his current employers unless they look at Aston villa being a much bigger step then they (sociedad) are currently. I honestly really don't know who the best option will be.

I believe we said that lambert was better than MacLeish and Sherwood was better than lambert so who is better than Sherwood and let's forget Moyes and Rodgers cause it won't be them.

I am also delighted we didn't end up with Rodgers.

With the right man this team will do well, go down and this team with the right man would walk the championship. Who the right man is remains to be seen, however I believe that sherwood seriously gutted at what's happened and as I've said before that Wilkins is the problem, bring kev Mac back and it will change, the team isn't far away just that spark is needed.

I still think he'll be top scorer for us this season especially if we make managerial change.

Jack Grealish at the minute is a left winger but it seems Sherwood  wants to persist playing him as a 10. Gil seems more suited for that role but it's another one of those things that Sherwood doesn't see when virtually everyone else does! Jacks whole career has been as a left winger so you'd think until he finds his feet and is playing well every game you'd play him somewhere he's used to. it can't help the defence either when swapping the back 4 all the time and even swapping the ones who play in front of them. You defend as a team the back four as a unit you only learn how each other play by game time and after 9 games have we picked the same team 2 games running or the same tactics? I don't think we have so its no surprise no one is gelling!

Im all for giving managers' time, but not when things are regressing at this rate. You cant say the things he has been saying, on top of being so clueless with in-game decisions. Looks to have lost the dressing room, the terraces and his head.

The more I think about it the more I can see the circus clowns in charge giving the job to Nigel Pearson. He's free to get and they will see his achievement of keeping Leicester up last season as just what we need, because we'll be bottom of the league when they make the decision to sack Sherwood.

On the relegation thing, I don't think anyone's suggesting that it would definitely be a good thing. All I was saying is that it could potentially at least bring a bit more excitement because at the moment all we're doing every season is losing often, barely ever winning, conceding many and scoring few and that is getting really **** boring now. The same thing will happen next season if we stay up as well. At least with relegation there's a chance that we might do what Newcastle did 6 years ago. West Ham aren't a terrible example either. I don't necessarily think that we'll lose all of our good players either - the key will be that we come straight back up.

 

Of course I'd still rather stay up (although I'm starting to care a lot less because it will just be the same thing next season) so it seems mad that we still haven't got rid of Sherwood because he clearly isn't going to be able to turn this around.

I agree at least we would see some wins at villa park, and gestede and Ayew would each get into double figures but if you ask me I would rather not explore that option.

All Sherwood needs to do is go 4-4-2 Ayew and gestede up top middle 4 of grealish and Gil out wide with gana and Sanchez and a back 4 of amavi left Hutton right and clark(when fit) and Richards. That would of won us the game yesterday.

To me Wilkins is the problem, mr sideways pass. When it was big Kev Mac we played attacking football last season now all we do is go sideways, get rid of Wilkins and bring Kev Mac back.
