I get the feeling it will be kind of staged. A kind of wrestling outlook. It certainly doesn't interest me in the least.

I think Jake may think that but i can't see tyson playing that game tbh, especially with it going on his record. Obviously if Jake can avoid him for 3 rounds he will win but Tyson is clever enough to cut his ring space down and get inside. I won't watch it other than the replay on YouTube

Problem was that the ref didn't give it real time. If he gave it (as he should) this would be a non story.

Yea the ref was bad, let loads of heavy tackles go throughout the game and that set the tone, he had a great line of sight as well, but that's what VAR is for, correct errors and it was a clear foul, shoulder to shoulder maybe, shoulder to back is just wrong and could be deemed as dangerous play if it was with any more force or the recipient was less physically strong.

Also moaning about the off side being close, it was clear as day. Why the lines man never flagged is a mystery and VAR took its time as well, he was half a meter off side ffs.

  3. Can't believe the amount of moaning they are doing,  supported by the media, over the disallowed goal. It was a clear foul that gained them an advantage, would we want a game where those type of challenge are allowed? Shoulder to shoulder I can understand but a barge in the back is just cheating.

  4. We need a better midfielder than we currently have, a player who can pass when we have the ball and compete when we don't have possession.

Kamara is that player when fit and playing alongside either Tielemans or Doug he makes a difference.

I'm pretty sure we will be getting that player but we may have to sell a player to finance it.

Dougie lol?! What you on about, should I have called him Doug like you because it sounds more manly 😂... That's your focus instead of the claim we're blessed with several players very similar.... You then point out Rodgers as an example which I found baffling tbh.

I wasn't getting my nickers in a twist at all, I was just pointing out the fact that we really don't have anyone similar. Especially Rodgers.

    OK

What you on about, we haven't got anyone similar to Dougie. And Rodgers certainly isn't. Both completely different style of player. Tielemans is the closest but still a very different player.

We've also already established DL is really not a DM, he's just operating there because our number one DM is injured and the club decided to let our back up DM go out on loan.

You see it differently to me, no need to get knickers in a twist, Dougie lol.

He's as ready as Rogers IMO. No doubt in the championship he was/is putting better performances than him.

Emery does magical things to players, especially forwards.

Don't think many will argue with this.

He's nowhere near as strong as Rogers and that's one of his weakness. Very similar to Diaby in stature but he's not as good. Quite where and how he would fit into our first team is a mystery to me but maybe I'm missing something,  I have watched him 3 times in the last 2 months for the full 90 minutes.

I don't think we are weak in the type of player he is, we have Buendia coming back. We need stronger players ,.like Rogers and Zaniolo (who I'm assuming is going back to Italy) We also have Archer and A Ramsey coming back.

  8. Selling him to a rival sends a bad message out to our other players , especially Ollie. Emery will however do what needs to be done and we are blessed with having a few players similar to Doug, Rogers being a new option . Whatever happens we need a stronger DM and if we get one then one of our current midfielders has to be benched.

Also don't rule out Burnley taking something off Spurs. Burnley have lost only once in their last 8 games. Got a point at Old Trafford too.

I think there's a few turns left tbh and can see it going to last game us needing a point or something along them lines. What ever happens we have done exceptionally well given the small squad and the injuries we have had.

Chelsea have lost only once at home in PL since November. While this is their derby game and a midweek evening game. I think Chelsea will be hugely up for this.

Chelsea have only lost once (when Palmer was out) in their last 10 PL games

I can understand your argument and hope you are right but I wasn't that impressed by Chelsea,  despite them being all over us they never beat us. Spurs played well yesterday and finished the game very strongly. I just think Chelsea's character will be severly tested and I'm not convinced there's that much there tbh.

I feel like we just have to bring Philogene back. Seeing what Rogers has done for us just cements that for me.

I have watched him a few times this season and he's got some great parts to his game but he's not ready for the premier league and won't be for at least another season. It would be a waste of our time and his for him to come back.

We need a good dm, it's that simple.

'Consistently' then - and Man City started Stones and Akanji in midfield.

And I don't think we played particularly well VS Arsenal at home - only 38% possession.

Don't think possession is on the score board, poch wants XG on it though. 4 points from Chelsea, 6 from Arsenal and 3 from Spurs and City . Not to bad when we have some of our better players available.

  13. The kid signed for 8m was brought up 9 miles down the road so he's settled right in, Diaby has had to adapt to a new country with no support network.  We know he can do it but when the ref offers players no protection from a physical team he suffers. If he had the same protection as Saka then maybe we would see more of him in possession.

I'm glad he stormed off tbh, alot better than skipping off with a smile on his face .

  15. We not going to gave 2 Emi's so whoever is our number 2 ain't gonna be as good.

Yes he can take some blame for the being out of position but tbh the ball over the top took all the players by surprise and we was caught flat footed and that resulted in a poor clearance that Chelsea picked up, why we didn't pick the ball or at least be there to make it difficult is another issue. Poor day at the office and we got a point without the world's number 1 keeper.

It is important to remember Olsen is lacking match practice too.

This, especially with our systems dependency on the keeper holding possession, takes balls of steel and months of in game experience.
