I haven't gone that far, but I have gone wireless from guitar to amp (I bought that Spark I mentioned upthread - it's ace). No more tripping over cables.

Hmm, interesting. I've had a quick look at the website and they talk about 10,000 different "sounds". Do you have access to them, and are they any good? I was looking at the Blackstar id range , but i might have to have a good look at these.

    Cheers Nick

Of course it is. Lewis is one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. People say it's the car while ignoring that the sister car in Bottas' hands is one good race ahead of Verstappen's Red Bull. Lewis may be taking wins away from Valtteri but he's taking wins away from Max aswell. It's only in Lewis' hands that the Merc is streets ahead. And Bottas is not some 2-bit pay driver.

And at the risk (no, the guarantee...) of repeating myself, Merc don't want or need to entertain the possibility that their car would win the title in Lewis's absence because, however small, there exists the possibility that it wouldn't. Certainly not 7 in a row any way. What they have in Lewis is the guarantee of the Championship. Everything else increases the possibility that they wouldn't. And that goes for all the intangibles too. Lewis brings far more than what he does on a Sunday.

    Is the right answer!

Today we’ve seen that pretty much anyone in that car can be world champion. Lewis is a special driver, but I expect that quite a few of the current generation could win multiple world championships in that car. Makes me wonder why they continue to pay Lewis so much.

It has underlined that Mercedes don’t have any competition at all. The only thing that can beat them is themselves.

That's too simplistic a view. Has Bottas got a WDC? Has Rosberg got more than 1. If it was simply the car, they would both have run Lewis close every year and pipped him more than once. Was Merc the best car last year? The year before?

Russell is dragging a complete dog of a car up there with the midfield. Is it just his car is better than his teammates?

Russell is an excellent driver who will win at least one championship.

My experiences in British supermarkets since masks became a requirement suggest that this is exactly what happened and people were right to be concerned about a false sense of security.

I don't mind being insulting, most of the general public are **** idiots. It's gone from the 2m rule being fairly well observed to people standing right next to each other to queue and brushing past each other in aisles again. We're basically lemmings with thumbs.

I was about to post something similar, but you have rather eloquently expressed my feelings. I only go to a supermarket late evening as it is much quieter then and people seem to respect my personal space.

It didnt work because we went and invited people to travel again. Pure stupidity by world leaders. Should have only let citizeins leave to their respected countries or exceptional circumstances.  Holidays  not allowed outside the uk. They should have encouraged the uk public to spend money in the uk to help the economy with some incentives. This would protect jobs and keep money in the uk.

Yeah i know the airlines would have been in trouble but they could have maybe given them a financial package to help them while they are closed.

Yeah, if you're giving people 80% to of their wages, make them go on holiday in the UK. Bollocks to giving the French/Spanish the money!

Spoke to a guy recently through work, he's worked the sum total of roughly 3 months since 2017 as a Consultant but has placed himself on furlough via his limited company, no idea what he's claiming but I'll bet it's not commensurate with what he's actually worked/earned in the past 12+ months.

On the vaccine situation - I won't be putting my hands up to voluntarily be injected with something that has almost certainly not been rigorously tested and definitely will not have had any evaluation of long term effects.

I did some work for a guy in early May, he was raging as he got nothing because he was a director of a limited company. When I asked why, he told me that he pays himself a salary at minimum wage, and then pays 18% on his dividends! He wasn't best pleased to be reminded that he'd had his furlough money by not paying his fair share of tax. Coincidentally, on his drive was a 2 month old X6 ! Maybe,he should have sold the car!

Tradesmen i know have never had so much work, and they got 2 lump sums of free no questions asked money from the government too. Absolutely ridiculous.

Only if they were negatively impacted. If they claim the money when they don't need it it will be clawed back. At least that was what my accountant told me
