  1. Hi everyone!

Don't forget you can cast your votes in the first page of this thread ;).

We also added a new feature.

When the votes are closed, you'll automatically see the MOTM.

You can see how it looks like right now if you check last game's thread.

Feel free to give us any feedbacks.

    Cheers,

    Mehdi @ Voopl.

    Mendi is back B)

    or I misread something

  2. We lost

    But

    We have spirit

    We dont lie down

    We can score

    We can play good football

We, the fans, the players & Tim are disappointed at such a result

The celebration and togetherness the players showed at 2-2 was fantastic - thanx Tim youre doing a great job

Play like this, remain unbeaten and we'll survive and win the FA cup

Villa fan who is proud again

  3. not really a stat person.

only need 1 person of - 22 players - 3/4 officials - 2 managers - 2 subs benches to do something "special/controversial" and all the variables are changed.

Chain reactions give a f**k about the norm

  4. Tactics and formations as an abstract idea are pretty useless apart from a specific context of players.  Tactics comes down to 3 very specific things.

    1. Knowing your players strengths and abilitiies and capitalizing on those.  Sherwood did that well by telling Benteke "get ready to see a lot more of the ball.  I know you can put it in the net so we'll get it to.  You do your thing and put it in, or lay it off so someone else can put it in."  Then he set up the supporing cast to make that happen.

    2. Watching the opponent, seeing their tendencies, their errors, and their weaknesses, then setting up to capitalize on those.  It appears he did that well for the cup semi as well - shifting from the wing play with crosses to the two number 10's.

    3. Adjusting to adaptations in the match.  Rodgers tried to do that, but failed miserably.  To this point, if Sherwood has a tactical weakness, this would appear to be its most likely place.  I'm judging that mostly on his subs, that have not always made sense to me.  TBF, He may be making other positional and strategic adjustments I'm not noticing.

BTW, I managed a team of 8 year olds to their league championship, so you know I'm an expert at this.

As there is no smiley I'm not sure how I should take this

  5. Sherwood has played Grealish in the hole/ number 10/ free role.

Lambert had him playing as an inside forward (?), same as gabby. Both are completely different players now.

Lambert bottled it, or just didn't have a clue what to do without any assistants.

1)The greedy, stubborn bastard should have walked, but nah, would have preferred to relegate us and walk away with some cash.

2)Thank god we had Tom Fox on board to eventually pull the trigger...would Faulkner have done the same? Could be Randy's best (and last) major move as owner.

1)This is what annoyed me most

    2) so true

  6.

.....Let's not forget that he's never dispayed any real proliferation in his career prior to Villa except in the Czech second division (I think) and one Europa League campaign against inferior sides.

So he's in for half the cup games and a possible EL campaign then? off the bench and as another option up front aswell

10-20 possible appearances to find out if he really is PL standard

    ok with me

  7. I know that Ron & Phillipe seem to be injury prone (Nathan "bodyontheline" Baker too).

However, keeping the defensive unit all together - Vlaar Clark Senderos Okore Baker - with Donacien and Kinsella to be blooded (Tim loves the youngsters) I think we might be OK for next season.

The experience of Vlaar & Senderos (and Clark) can only be good for Okore Baker Donacien & Kinsella.

I'd be more interested in Strengthening RB & LB we need support & competition for Hutton & Cissokho

  8. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

Had we not got to the final, would the F***ball Association be taking us to task about the "Crowd disturbances"?

    Feeling sorry for Reading.

Anyway, more of the winding us up please. It'll only make a victory even sweeter.

    VILLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    this post gave me goosebumps

    I feel ya

  10. To be fair on rodgers, it has been a lot tougher on him this season. Sturridge out practically the whole season is a massive blow. Gerrard has been pretty bad throughout the whole year. Sterling is not producing like he did last season, and Balotelli has been a massive flop. I thought the front three of Sturridge-Balotelli-Sterling would get them champions league, but hardly any of them have been fit. Their squad at the moment is not good enough for top 4. They need another quality midfielder and strong defenseman.

    To be even Fairer

    I really dont give a F**K

  11. Quick German Lesson

The name "Klopp" comes from the verb Klopfen ( to knock) When someone has "gekloppt" (a grammatical variation) it means "One has knocked...... on the door" for example

However if someone is "bekloppt" it's someone who is "crazy"..........
