  1. "on April 21st 2012, Alex McLeish produced an outstanding display of tactical awareness by securing a 0-0 win against the formidable Sunderland. Following the final wistle, McLeish and his tactical genius assistant, Peter Grant, Celebrated in a mature and professional manner by giving each other piggy backs up and down the touch line whilst clenching their fists and saluting the crowd.

The calls for McLeish to be the man that leads England into the European Championships have grown louder following the performance of his men, with certain sections of the media calling him "The man to motivate a nation"

  2. I'm thinking that Lerner might like a season in the Championship, Parachute payments and wage drop clauses, plus the inevitable fire sale would be just the ticket for a skint Yank who has lost interest.

  3. Amazing that, A team that plays football no matter what are starting to win games when it matters. Take note McCleish you **** negative prick, you have never been good at playing defensive football or attacking football so what exactly is it you are playing!

  4. One of my favourites was the 97/98 Uefa cup game at home to Bordeaux. First leg finished 0-0 and with the second leg finishing at the same score after 90 minutes a number of Bordeaux fans decided to leave for some strange reason. Savo scores in Extra time, that was a good in that competition.

My least favourite, forgetting my season ticket and having to queue at the ticket office against Barnsley, got into the ground just in time to see Barnsley score and win 1-0.

  5. I don't see the point in changing the manager, the squad is down to the bare bones and anyone would struggle with what we have at the minute.

We should not be in this position though, but now that we are it's just a case of getting on with it until the end of the season, then we can sort it out.

As for the rest of this season, well if we don't pick up points in the next two games then it may well be curtains save a drastic change in form.

Changing the manager would give the fans a massive lift, thus giving the team a huge confidence boost, It would also give the alienated players a fresh start and most importantly.

Think about it, what harm could it do? Could we really play much worse?

  6. McLeish says "Criticism is fine, as long as it is deserved" is the headline Talksport news are going with. Slightly skewing of his words their by Talksport as you would expect but still, we all know at the moment it is more than deserved and in most cases I would say it has been slightly reserved.

We deserve and expect much more than 15th in the league and dire football, even if the media and other teams fans don't agree.

I really like this quote from the Cleveland Browns fan Mike Poljke jnr

"This is the thing, we don't even expect you to be good, we just want you to be watch-able, do you realise how low our expectations are?!"

We aren't expecting the League title, We aren't even expecting European football but what we do expect is for you to show us attractive, attacking football and a passion and desire to fight for this club and we will accept nothing less.
