It’s took him a while to show what he is capable of but on Sunday he looked like the player many clubs wanted a few seasons back.

Playing like this, away from home against a title challenger is just unthinkable
This is brilliant but if we did this at home the crowd get restless.

Last 4 league games:
Everton - Win
Sheff Utd - Draw
Man Utd - Win
Burnley - DrawIf we play like we did at Arsenal, we'll blow them away.
Different dynamic. We will want to dominate the game from the off so will be more open and susceptible to the counter. There was way to much space given to them in the FA cup.

Enjoying this ride immensely but the more we improve and grow, I guess the more risk of losing Emery? Jealous eyes looking to take them I suppose. United, Liverpool, Bayern, Barcelona etc. Hope not, but is it inevitable?
It’s possible but not for another year at least.

Goldbridge saying Frimpong to Manure close. My arse. Why go that car crash club. I suppose +200k a week is an appeal
Man U have been so shit the only way they can sign quality is to give them silly wages. But that’s what got them in the mess they are in the first place !
Frimpong seems to be loved around here. I’ve never seen him play.

I’d just like them (English) teams all through this round, I know one or two highly unlikely but let’s just get this 5th place coefficient thing sorted so we can relax and enjoy the rest of the season fighting for fourth and a trophy. All five of our teams can still go through, West Ham being the most unlikely by some distance imo, Liverpool have a very tall order but they have the firepower that will either miss 30 chances or score 6 so I wouldn’t rule them out yet and the rest of us, have challenging but achievable games if we are in the right mindset.
Yeh I guess this is what we should all want really. I just really hate Arsenal because of one fan. Very childish I know.
It would be pretty awesome to have champions league secured and to be 2 games away from a European final. Big game Thursday.

I agree, give me certainty as soon as possible. Then if Spurs get 5th we can tell them to thank us.
I suppose we should want Arsenal to win really I just can’t do it !
Although city should do them over 2 legs anyway.

Whilst 4th now sort of in our hands I’d still like to see the following :
City through, Bayern through, Atletico through and Villa through.
City then beat Bayern and we win our semi. That gives 5th place just in case right ?

If we didn't have those silly results we'd have had other silly results. Or we wouldn't have beaten Arsenal etc
The butterfly effect is real.
I think we're doing about as well as could be expected
I think we’ve overachieved personally. Amazing effort by the squad.

I see Palmers overtaken Ollie now for goals and one behind for assists. what a season that lads having.
Both of them are musts for Euros.

Spent four years at Leverkusen... and the year they sell him, they win the title.
Not sure a Conference League winner's medal will mitigate that... but could soften it slightly!
To be fair his 5 million a year pay rise probably softens the blow too.

We could be weeks away from achieving the goal Nas & Wes set when they bought the club, CL in 5 years.
Did they set this goal? I think that was the doc.
Championship to Champions League in 5 years during the times of FFP would be incredible.

A few indifferent games and misses a game we win and he’s no longer that good
Dougie is class and will be massive for us in the final few games. He definitely needed that rest though.

Most level headed analysis I’ve seen anywhere.
Yeh quite surprised how humble in defeat they have been. Feels out of character.

A break and then 6 games in 21 days. It’s not ideal for them in my opinion. Going 2 weeks without a game isn’t always a good thing.

So Spurs have:
Arsenal (h)
Chelsea (a)
Liverpool (a)
Burnley (h)
Man City (h)
Sheff Utd (a)
Very difficult to predict but I would say they’re likely to get a LWLWLW out of that, so probably 9 points… but by no means any certainty about that, just based on what I think is likely.
whereas we have:
Bournemouth (h)
Chelsea (h)
Brighton (a)
Liverpool (a)
Palace (h)
With three home games, and going away to Brighton I think we’ll get something like: WDWLW then we’d be on 70pts.
But even if we only win our home games then that’ll be enough to be 3 points ahead of Spurs. BUT then even if we only win against Bournemouth and Palace we’d just need to sneak a draw somewhere else.
Liverpool aside could we be playing all of these teams where they have nothing left to play for? I get that doesn’t always work in a teams favour as the pressure is off but it’s an interesting one compared to Spurs who seem to playing teams with everything to play for. (Apart from Sheffield United and Chelsea).

I didn't see this application coming.....so, so delighted.
Yep I thought we’d get smashed too. This is football and why we can’t expect to just turn up next week either. So much can still happen.
But what a great position to be in.

Until we fail to beat Bournemouth
But seriously though any bed wetting was uncalled for. Villa have never gone 3 games without a win all season. They have dropped the least points from winning positions. They have taken 9 points off the top 3 teams in the league. They are 4th in the league.
Villa are a bloody good team mate.

I was most impressed by his pace to recover. Didn’t realise how quick he was.
He’s been ridiculously unlucky with injuries since he joined us so we’ve never really seen how good he was but hopefully that performance gives an indication of it and he can continue playing same way.
Our biggest results this season have come with that back 4.
