I could see Graham doing it but Lockett won't until he busts a couple of huge returns too.

Thought Saturday was what we are going to get until at least January.

A battling messy sort of game with some (few) periods of good passing and possession play.

1st half we probably deserved to go in behind they had three good chances whereas we had one shot from Kodjia and a poor header from Ross Mc.

2nd half we looked far better (a rocket at half time!!) and didnt deserve to go behind, albeit from a good cross and there forward getting on Chester not Baker who kept beating him in the air, teams will score goals and good ones too we simply have to accpet it and there doesn't have to be a mistake by anyone for it to happen.

We then took the game to them and deservedly got the three points, quite easily seeing out the last 15, despite there being pressure Gollini wasn't troubled.

For me Baker was MoTM as he performed for all of it.

The other candidates:

Jedi - sorry but being big and looking imposing around the middle isn't cutting it for me, he has improved but had dropped so low it wasn't hard.

Kodjia - frustrating as hell for me, at times looks a world beater at others offers nothing, no movement, no support in the role he was playing (thay over ran Amavi 1st half because of that)

Chester - very close but though the goal was a good, some sort of jump/challenge might have put him off 

Gards  n Jack - both had cracking 2nd halves but 1st were pretty anonymous.

Funny moment: When in the last few minutes our supposedly fast sub was outrun by a not very quick midfielder who had been on since the start, please no more of him and use RHM instead.

he needs to stay and fulfill a role for us in our current position. we're not going to sign a player as good as Platt or Taylor in January without a lot of luck and if we do, we'll still need back up. 

Agree with this and as for signing someone a la Tayls or Platt, that is what we sort of tried with Westwood, signing a player from a lower league in the hope they would come good. He hasn't but as others have said (over and over at time) it ISN't for the want of trying.

Picking up Harris was best move I have made this season which admittedly isn't hard

For me all of the defence stood up well , Gollini looked a whole lot better and the save early 2nd half was good.

Ayew - works so hard now it's unreal, for me should have stayed on

Adoma - looked to be scaring them to death til injury, Then Ross did his best completely out of position.

Kodjia - sorry but again I was totally unimpressed. He refuses to see a pass and utterly refuses to give the ball to Ross Mc. Should've gone off.

Brucie - sorry but you need to get those pictures off Gabby as there is no other way I see why he was even considered. Gave away more free kicks than successful passes and looked goosed after 5 mins on the pitch. 

Overall another point another game unbeaten but it just shows, to me, how poor this league is if we can play like that and get a point

That quote doesn't mention refute the idea he wanted more £ though. I heard he asked for a significant rise and it was approved, then withdrawn at the end of the season before he even got chance to sign it. Not a great way to run the club at the time, but then it is only with hindsight that I even consider it to have been the wrong decision at the time.

Westwood like others are now 'poisoned' with fans and if he completely bossed a game, scored, created a couple but gave the ball away once it would be the latter that would be picked up. 

He looked decent with Tshibola along side him at Sheff Weds, then again at VP v Rotherham and Huddersfield. Then it was back to GG who leaves him too much to do.

This season is really make or break for him at Villa, if he stays he has proper experience competition and a young kid proven at this level.

Agree with BOF, there is a decent player in there, but he needs to be wanted by those around him, players, manager and fans. He struggled to settle in Brum and was cast aside by Toxic Tim without justification and/or warning.

At the Albion game he looked to be getting to grips with the physicality and speed of the Prem and yet was soon dropped again. Think that once back in France and with a little more experieince he will prove to be the player we thought we signed.

You weren't called a prick and as for the draft I was drafting utterly blind with no experience, within a couple of days you had a better squad than me by knowing what to do. As stated I dropped a player (pretty much the only player I wanted to draft) from team (NOT squad) and reported it in here, a way to resolve was given.

I tried to waiver it asap - again doing so blind - it failed. Don't worry about it, it's a game after all with nothing but stupid web based pride....
