Strange that. I've seen a lot of other fans asking why we're so harsh on McGinn. I trust fans who watch these players week in, week out vs. those that view the highlight reel on MOTD.
Most fans don't watch their team week in week out...there are millions of fans who never get to the ground.
They watch the highlight reel on MOTD and go on forums or worse.... make their judgements based on computer game statistics....

Not sure why people are talking as if he's been a Wolves bench player, he's made thirty plus Premier League appearances for them in each of the last three seasons, he's started four of their five games this season, he's pretty much been a regular for them, that's a regular in a team who have been finishing in a position where we're trying to get to, he's also got thirty plus caps for Belgium which at them moment can't be an easy feat.
I would suggest its got something to do with knowing or working with a Dingle....
"Eeees shite mar mate! Yow con av arr cast offs if yow loike, weem on the way oop!

Alongside Kamara he strengthens the midfield.
He will allow our Centre backs the protection they need and ,maybe then they can perform a little better too.
Alone he might not be a great player but he would slot into an unfilled hole for me (Owweerrr did i say that out loud )

Don't see much wrong with this. If hes used correctly he will be an effective player.
The bit in bold is the bit that worries me....

This thread is opening my eyes.
There are loads of players that I didn’t even know where shit……until they are linked with us!

Going by that then Gerrard has only managed us for four games and so needs an entire season to see if he can turn it around… god knows where we could end up.
Like I said
This is not a post about SG he may fix it….he may get sacked and someone else may fix it.

I think if Gerrard sticks around we will be in trouble
Whilst not keen on sacking managers this often….I am in agreement here.

If we had played well and just had margins against us, that would be fair.
However we have no system, horrible ingame decisions by management, horrible pregame decisions by management , horrible postgame decisions by management, 3 wins in the last 15 games, look like **** on the pitch, unrest among the players, growing distance between the supporters and the team
Its a clown fiesta at the moment. Change is needed.
Again I’m not posting about Gerrard and his record going back into last season.
Im posting about the fact that we are four games into a season.
Four.

Yes it is a just bad start to the season.
Ive never heard of anyone getting relegated because of games that were lost the season before.
Its not a post in support of SG
Its just a post about what is happening right no which is a bad start to the season nothing more nothing less.
It can and most probably will be fixed

Whilst yesterday was a bad result especially with Arsenal and City coming up.We we’re inches away from taking the lead in the first half and lost to deflected goal.
Reverse those pieces of bad luck and we are 8th.
Ive watched two Villa sides get relegated in my time both were horrendously bad full of players not capable of competing in the division they were playing in.
This squad is nowhere near that.
Do you think West Ham fans think they going down?
Or Wolves?
Its a bad start to the season!
We win the first 4 a couple of years ago and finished 11th
We lost the first 4 in 97/98 and finished 7th (not on this but the year we signed Collymore)

Villa have lacked the right blend for as far as I can remember, "lightweight" is often a term labelled towards Villa over the years. It still seems adequate as way to describe us unfortunately.
This is how I always think of Villa. I’m used to it now.
We are everybody’s fall guy when a team need a win….
West ham you are welcome

Have you seen United's scouting this season? Its horrendous. And that's from one of the biggest clubs in the world.
My gut feeling is that the scouts themselves are good at their job. But its the upper management who decide what players to buy who are choosing against the scouts recommendation.
I think this theory has a ring of truth about it.
Maybe some managers are more risk averse than others.
Take Graham Potter for example he probably would be happier than SG to take a risk on unknown CB.

At Saints forums they expect 15m. But they also seem happy to give him away if that was the case.
You realise that you can’t pay any attention to what fans on forums say…..don’t you?

Just can’t understand how everyone knows so much about Bednarek?
Just how does a Villa fan know how he played during his time at Southampton?
Im a regular at VP and I can’t make my mind up about OUR players……..let alone an obscure Polish centre back that plays for another team.

Mood/anxiety level/optimism levels on this forum is driven by one thing and one thing only.
Our performance in the last 3 league games only.
If we'd won the last 3 games we'd all be on a massive high and be eulogising over the squad depth, with various players being lauded for their performances and the club just needing to fill "perhaps one spot" with a quality upgrade.
As it stands, its the opposite, we've won one and lost two with mostly car crash performances, therefore all other clubs business is looking amazing, our squad is dogs**t and we need a huge overhaul before the end of the window just to stand still
Most of that is in jest, but you get the point.
You say most of that is in jest but generally it’s is spot on the mark.
Your not doing yourself justice with regard to the accuracy of this appraisal.

Not being a Southampton fan I haven’t paid much attention to this guy.
Therefore I really have no idea if he’s a good footballer or not.
If he signs for Villa I will watch him more closely and make an opinion then.

And we know there is " no plan " because we are armchair football experts, or we don't see it coming off?
You point out that they might have " messed it up " ( Arsenal ) but they would try it again.
Do people genuinely think there is " no plan "?
I'd prefer people to say whatever the plan is, is " shit " than to confidently declare there is " no plan ".
Agreed
professional football without a plan…..?
We would have lost by far more.
Plan that didn’t work most definitely. If he didn’t have a plan then he definitely hasn’t got a plan b which as we all know is every football managers ultimate downfall.
We are really in the sh@t
