Foul for passing the ball. What the ****.

Hackett was right.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bacuna on for Cleverley at half time
I would love it, love it.

He's absolutely lost it

Gil has 15 passing and 15 creativity and only 6 strength according to a screen shot of his FM stats from last season.
On that basis, I am not sure.
Need a youtube video to be certain.
I'm more concerned about his hidden attributes; his Consistency, Ambition and Pressure could all be vital to us.

etc?
It's not but we are barely have Premier League quality. Bradford, Millwall, Sheff Utd, Leyton Orient etc etc. This thread quickly became very weird. Didn't know the Championship was so much better than the Premier League.
Tranmere, Swindon, Norwich, Ipswich, Rotherham, Blackpool.

Blues at home would be brilliant. An atmosphere to show everyone around the club what it can really be like at Villa Park. A win would give everyone throughout the club a huge boost. A loss and maybe a few would get exactly what they want.

From the sounds of it today he wasn't great - I was quite complimentary about him after 3 games for us and I thought he was going to push on from that and start chipping in with goals and assists, but he seems to have become stuck in his shell and unable to come out. As has been said I don't think there's any agreement or it would have been signed and completed on the 1st, so I really hope we don't make this permanent. Use the money on something we need.

Thanks for the updated as someone who went to the game, it seems we've been quite laboured and slow in this new style, we need more, and quicker movement into spaces upfront to start penetrating defences but as you say this should improve as they get used to it and have longer on the training ground between games.
I recall a tip over from a shot from Ishmael Miller that was always going over anyway and a reaction save to a deflected shot that he made comfortably in the first half. Of course I was there to see them so didn't have the luxury of hearing how they were embellished by Radio Lancashire!
By the sounds of it, Given had to make two good stops to keep the score at 0-0, so that's not quite true is it?As for the team, solid at the back again today and never looked like losing.
PS I would save your breath trying to rationalise with those you quoted.

Go read the quotes from the BBC website and you'll see they agree with the people you blocked. Oh wait, you can't read this.I've ignored the posts of 8 members and it turned out to be one of the best match day threads I've read. As for the game, just like absolutely everyone else I didn't watch it so it would be moronic of me to suggest anything either way.

You weren't one of them, but thanks for bringing yourself to my attention. I'm sure all the sensible, intelligent and non-reactionary members of Twitter agree with you also.

Agreed, you have to look at where we are going. Clueless fool.Hope the fans still give Lambert stick after the game.
Glad we scored though.
It sounds like (how many of you are actually watching the game?) a poor performance, but we've won a game, take a **** day off.

Chelsea, City, Southampton, Stoke, Man Utd all drawing to lower league opposition also.
-
One of the most expensively assembled teams in the world struggling to score against much weaker team at home bring on 2 players worth about £50 million and end up scoring a goal shocker
yeah I saw that. good goal.Milner just scored a peach. Amazing what some movement, passion and talent gives you.
Why can't we sign and keep a player like Milner?
-
If our next few Premiership opponents have got any spies at this match they must be crapping themselves.
Premier League.
-
Wow we're actually going to sign a wide player. You know the pace at which Lambert works on a problem could see us being quite good in about 7 years.
seriously?!?!?
I just discovered the 'ignore' function, it's wonderful, you should try it out.

Saw this on twitter, presume it is from one of todays papers!
Edit: nope, it is from 2012.
Hope he thinks winning is important here!!!!
He was the Chief COMMERCIAL Officer, of course marketing a football club is about more than the results for him, his job is about maintaining relationships with big businesses to fund the players that win those football matches.
Ridiculous.

Spot on Keyblade/Bobzy. When every thread has to be dragged into "another statistic/fact/opinion/event that shows Lambert is inept and we're going to be relegated and I hate watching Villa and you should to" it sucks any enjoyment out of supporting Villa, just like it does when fans scream insults at players and managers at the ground and boo at half time. It's miserable.
Now I know you're itching to tell me about how the football is doing that to you, well here's a suggestion - stop **** watching it.

Booing is so embarrassing.
Not as embarrassing as the way we play football.
If the way a football team plays makes you embarrassed then I think you need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

We're a lot better than them. Sanchez is great.

No he didn't do a very good job at Sunderland. How did he do at Leicester with not much money?
Ah yes, replaced with a good one, who showed just how good he was when there was less money at Sunderland, right? And replaced a poor manager.
Let's hope for both this summer.
How long ago was that?

Agbonlahor, Cleverleh and Cissokho not good enough. Wish we had Jack on the bench but bring on Bacuna and Weimann now.
