Between Purslow's comments and the dry Villa 'k thnx bye' tweet, the club have really shown what they think about his 'my club' bullshit., make no mistake.

Do you think Villa fans will be open to him coming back in the future?
I'm sure when he's washed up and spewed out he'll want another payday from the Villa. F him. Let him go to West Ham or Everton.
-
He'll probably be as miserable as he looks in these pics even when he wins something with them. Plastic medals. F him.

If this move fell through, would you be happy to have him back?
Personally I hope it does fall through, there is a good statement from Jack and he gives an even better performance next season.
No. Loan him to WBA or SHA.

Wrong thread mate. He’s gone to City.

Meh, just one of many. Reinvest well. Hope it's 100 mil and not some player swaps included.
He can finish his career in Everton or West Ham and WBA or something after they spew him out.
-
Good for him, although honestly hoped they'd get him a better team to play at , not a middling league 2 one. Good luck to him, hope he plays every minute of every game.

Once again, why are many of you thinking it's looking bad or that he is leaving?
Can anyone point to any tangible evidence of this?Well sunday was a he's leaving day and yesterday was a he's staying day, so I guess today is a he's leaving day.

Some shameful posts in the last couple of days. Get it together boys.

Wes gives him a massive pay rise, beats off all contenders for his signature then goes on to win the big prize.
The big difference is that they could offer the most money by far. Other teams couldn't even come close to the same offer. Still, it's a big positive they've managed to keep Giannis of course.
It'll be interesting to see if and how much into the luxury tax the Bucks would be prepared to go into for next season.

Hopefully Edens is as successful in football as well

I just don't agree that it's some giant humiliation at the end of the day. He did it again last night, Henderson on and off. After the semi, there were all these breathless 'this is only the third time this has happened - the others were X and Y' comments, and all I could think about was how I couldn't remember either of those instances. It's not something that anybody is going to care about in about 2 weeks from now, it just doesn't matter.
It won't be remembered and it won't matter to most people, including Jack himself ( probably ), but it's a symptom, one of many. Throughout the tournament Southgate didn't know his best 11, or his best 14, or his best formation. His tactical approach has been incredibly one dimensional, lacking in imagination and playing down to the opposition level, instead of taking the games by the horns and using the incredible talent he's had at his disposal. This England team was the best in terms of ability and talent in the tournament, honestly it wasn't even close. I watched the Brazil and Argentina final as well - they're both significantly worse than this English team is, or could be more like. They're being dragged down by a manager who's incapable of developing them and turning them into the force they could be.
I'm not english, so I don't really care about that team, apart from when Villa players are participating, but I really believe they can win multiple major trophies with the players they have. Southgate has done well to get them to the final, but playing the way they do is not how you should approach the game when you have the talent disparity in your favour. It's like Bruce taking Villa to the final against Filham and approaching the game in a similar fashion. Sure he's done well to get there, but you could be much more developed with someone who can take advantage of the immense talent at hand. You can play defensively and limp to 1-0 wins against significantly weaker opponents, you can call it results business and so on, but you're not even trying to reach that next level everyone knows you're capable of. Again - not even trying - this is such a waste.

It's frustrating for us Villans as well.
If he doesn't play my interest disappears. I find it impossible to cheer for players I detest andplay mostly for the scum 6.
Same for me. I’m not english and whenever Jack doesn’t play I root against them (mostly). When he plays I root for them. Simple.

So what!! Why does it bother you lot so more if England are winning. Are you Jacks agents??
Uh because it’s a Villa forum?

What are you talking about?
1 billion could literally but an entire squad of the best players in the world.
1 billion won’t buy anyone we can’t currently attract.
The best players in the world aren’t coming to Villa , especially Villa without Grealish.

I think he would have gone last year if he was going. Who ever signs him has to realise he will be injured for around 10 matches due to his style of play.
But £100M has to be considered. 11 other teams did better than us last season without Jack
Meh. 100 mil these days gets you less than 2 Ben Whites. It doesn't come near enough to replacing Jack's influence on and off the pitch.

Double edged sword, pay him 200k pw and he's happy ( I bet he already is, on 125k ) but then it limits who would be in for him the following season as only 2 or 3 clubs will be offering that sort of wages.
Good.

Ok, maybe his agent has been InTouch with us and other clubs with the sole intention of getting him a better deal at Arsenal?
How does that work in real life though? Agent talks to Purslow, Purslow makes a real 30+ mil bid for the player, despite of having other targets, and hoping Arsenal would actually refuse? What if Arsenal say yes?
Or are these two bids fake and they never happened? Then wouldn't Arsenal know about it?

2nd goal was a foul against the keeper tbh. But anyway, go Brentford!
