i really would love to know what on earth conspired to make you go and watch that lol !
My housemate is a die hard Sunderland fan, it was like watching two men with no teeth in a steak eating contest.

One is a defensive-midfielder, one is a center-midfielder.
Jedinak is superior in; Defensive Position, Intercepting, Heading, Holding the ball up and tackling.
Bjarny is superior in; carrying the ball through midfield, forward passing, and shooting.
My point being, you cannot compare them to one another...it completely depends on the opposition's game-plan as to which is more effective. Tonight for example, QPR will be playing a lot of balls in the air, so having Jedinak heading the ball right back into their half will be more effective. (in my opinion)

I was unfortunate enough to go to the QPR vs Sunderland on saturday, QPR are terrible.

I think John Terry is beginning to love the Villa, the same way the Villa fans are beginning to love John Terry
I'm in love with him.

I don't think this is quite right.
He's had more than 6 former clubs.
But I think he HAS scored against six of them this season now. Which is still remarkable.
Just checked and you're totally right (serves me right for not checking), maybe the stat is that he's played 6 of his former teams this season, and scored against each one.
Regardless, what an astute signing this is beginning to look like. -
Start him on the bench tonight, ease him in. Need to manage our key players very carefully this run in, it will make the difference.

i heard if he scores tonight, then he would of scored against all 6 of his previous teams this season alone.

Just because I think there is some relevance to it at this point in the season, whereby teams are now close to their final positions, I have tallied up the final 12 games of the season for the top 6 to see who has the 'easiest' run in. Obviously I recognise there is no weighting given in relation to league position and things like derbies or form or fighting for survival which may effect things but it still gives a nice unbiased look at each teams run in.
If you play a team in 1st position you get 1pt, a team at the bottom earns you 24pts. Therefore the bigger the number the easier your fixtures.
Wolves 171pts
Cardiff 157pts
VILLA 154pts
Derby 146pts
Fulham 163pts
Sheffield Utd 147pts
So Wolves and, worryingly, Fulham have the easiest run in. Villa and Cardiff practically the same with Derby and Sheffield Utds on the trickier end of the scale. This is of limited use in real world situations but I do think it gives a bit of a picture of what each team has coming up. I think it also shows that Wolves are not only nicely clear of the pack but also with a nice run of fixtures left to play. Villa probably only need to concern themselves with Fulham and Cardiff at this stage. The Cardiff game will likely define our season.
Personally I see Fulham and Wolves grabbing the top two spots, with Villa and Cardiff fighting for third, Derby comfortably in playoffs and Sheffield utd probably being pipped to the post by one of the chasing pack (money on Boro).
Going to be interesting...
Really interesting, and i do agree with your predictions place/standing wise come the season end. However, does your system factor in playing home/away? I think that factor plays a crucial part.

No I didn't tbh with you and as I said earlier I have no insight into the guy whatsoever- so therefore I can only comment on what I see on the surface.
you seem to have more knowledge of the guy than me and I clearly have no reason to dispute this with you.
Fair enough Dave, it is incredibly frustrating as on paper he is the footballer we are crying out for in this injury crisis.

TRO - you are one of the most well measured and balanced posters that I am aware of - and I am a little surprised at your stance on McCormack - something I fully respect I should hasten to add - but having flown across the world and being bothered it would appear to put in a shift regardless of how you view the A league - does this not seem like McCormacks attempt at saying ok I messed up - can we not start over ? SB does have form with this - however I don't want to be labelled obsessed once more - so I'll leave this point here.
It might well be that you are privy to information you feel you cannot share on here? And if this is the case - I'd be inclined to run with this - but purely on the surface I still find it just a little bit odd to leave him kicking his heels at BH
Did you see the interview Ross gave right before he left Oz, did not seem happy at all to be returning to England. There is a reason the Fulham players asked the board NOT to sign him when they were linked with re-signing him, the man is toxic.

For the love of God, get that man in the starting XI.
Hogan is a great player if you slot him into a creative attacking line-up, which we currently do not have due to injuries.
There is a reason Grabban scored a shitetonne for Sunderland, put him in the team and give that man minutes.- 2

I’d agree as regards starting him, but to be honest I’m staggered he can’t get on the bench in the absence of Green, Jack, and Albert, regardless of whether he is young, fragile, or whatever.
Edit - actually I’m not staggered. We have a Manager who’s default position is caution, for better or for worse.
I'm pretty sure he was injured the week before, he didn't feature for the U23's.
I would like to see more of him though, looks a real talent. -
Need him back in the team right now, we can't play any meaningful attacking football without him. Worringly toothless.

lansbury in for grealish, whilst pushing hourhaine into jacks position. Easy peasy right?

sitting in the away end, buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing!
Get Thor back into that midfield, need his energy and hustle.
We're gonna win this, win the league, and England will win the world cup.- 2

We are dreadful, actually shockingly bad. How have we spent so much money and not assembled a bench that can cover the centre back position? Why on gods earth do we have so many full backs?
Why do we insist on just booting the ball aimlessly at NO-ONE. Whelan is the biggest culprit of this. Especially when you being on two strikers under 6 foot, PLAY IT TO FEET FFS.
Why did we take Snodgrass off for a FULLBACK?
I'm beyond angry, this is dross and we are in danger of sliding into horrendous form and not recovering. I am not confident JT will come in and change our fortune so drastically.
I went back through my old posts and found this from the 23rd December, how feelings and thoughts can change over a relatively short space of time. Also, it serves as a reminder of how truly bad we were/can-be, and how important it is to maintain the current form and way of playing.

Sounds like he will be needed for Saturday, let's hope he's match ready.

He completely destroyed N'doye with that stare, what a beautifully terrifying man.
Him and Chester are the perfect CB pairing, they never ever lose the ball when it's at their feet. Sublime.

My eyes watered whilst he cried after the first goal, so so so chuffed the lads brought it home for him today.
That one was for your Steve, bask in this moment as it belongs completely to you.

Unfortunately we've let it slip too far realistically, what we need to do though is get into great form and take that momentum into the playoffs.
