  1. Had to grind that one out but we are missing quite a bit out there at the moment. The playmaking influence of Luiz, McGinn, Ramsey and Torres is not there and without it, we are seriously struggling from an attacking perspective. Need to get Torres and Konsa back to CH together and McGinn has to play #10 role not #6.

PS: Bucket list achievement right there ...... moaning when we are top of the Premier League !!!

  2. McGinn and Luiz did not play and when they don't play, we don't play !

Carlos looked horribly unstable with the ball at his feet and, once again, we got twenty minutes at most out of Ramsey. That game was there for the taking but Emery got it wrong with his selection and failure to act on a massive swing in momentum at 0-2. Poor stuff ..... must do a lot better !

I'd say pace is Cash's best attribute.

He is by no means slow but the top widemen tend to destroy him. His biggest issue - in my humble opinion - is that he tends to do zonal marking and is happy to let the opposition wideman be the regular outball which puts him on the spot ..... which is why I always feel the opposition tends to cause us more issues on that side.

  4. Nowhere near good enough. Lacks good positional awareness and is not quick enough either. If he matched Moreno in terms of his threat on the overlap then, as with Moreno, we can live with his defensive frailties but he hasn't the pace to work the wing nor are his crosses worth waiting for. Nice guy but not good enough for a team looking to cement even a top ten place each season.

    Looks just short of confidence.

    ..... and everything else !

Been very poor in recent weeks and has been generally "meh" since he arrived. I believe he has something to offer and its down to Emery to get the best out of him but the repeated hype about what a great signing he has been and how "blisteringly fast" he is ...... is starting to annoy me now !

Martinez far and away our best player but he was doing my head in bombing it long to Bailey in a one on one situation.

Bailey has the strength and resilience of a wet paper bag at the best of times and it was one such long ball from Martinez that led to their second goal.

Olsen wouldn't make that mistake !

  7. Tactical gaff from Emery in pushing Konsa wide at the back and pairing Torres and Carlos in central defence. We were starting without Kamara who adds protection at the back so you have to play safe and Konsa is safe ...... he's our best and most composed central defender and yet he is thrown out wide. I think Konsa would have stopped both Bournemouth goals. Very strange move !

Trust me, the ultras do not have the upper hand in Poland. Police rule, and it's been the case for at least 10 years now.

That is not what these "ultras" say or think and their social media groups make it very clear that they have the upper hand. I think the key is that their police may be able to wield their batons when confronting them but they lack the sort of intelligence our police have in terms of understanding and anticipating problems. Over there, ultras can go toe-to-toe in pre-organised confrontations without the police anywhere to be seen ..... that could never happen over here. Equally, the punishments over there for the sort of behaviour witnessed last night at VP are a slap on the wrist compared to what is dished out here with arrests and bans from future matches.

If you checked their social media groups last week, you would have seen what was coming. The plan was to show up in numbers, kick off and gain entry to the ground in order to keep them under control ..... that was the plan because it is what they are used to but if ever they come back here in the future, they will realise that our police are not like their police and kicking off is going to end badly for them !

That's the thing about policing of football games in Poland. They know how to handle them.

That simply is not true on any level. The difference over there is that the ultras have the upper hand and the police know that. Over here, that is not the case and the biggest and best "firm" is the police who were not going to give an inch of ground to them ...... which they couldn't handle !

Might add that many of the Poles who "travelled" did not come from Poland but from around the UK !!!

I agree he deserves backing and in person should get that.... but online in a forum,  where he won't see it, I'll reserve my right to be terrified of his ability to play the game Emery wants us to play.

I agree and I respect the rights of all to express opinions but my feeling with Olsen is that some fans see him as having horns sticking out of his head and no matter how he plays and no matter what he does, he is declared as being poor. He is a very, very good stopper. He's agile and he is strong in the air too. Where he used to be weak was whenever the ball was at his feet but - to my eyes - he has improved significantly in that area.

Not being as good as Emi does not make you a bad keeper ..... if you want a real bed pan of a nettie then take a look at what lurks at Old Trafford ...... Newton Heath fans would kill for Olsen over Banana !!!

Winning goal and MOTM for Al Duhail yesterday.

Watch him be injury free for the whole season now as well lol

Shocking standard that suits his (lack of) pace. Great player in his day but he is at least 6 years beyond his "best by" date and the Premier League is also a lot stronger now than in PC's glory days.
