Need the second goal.
Aston villa legends Barkley and nakamba have been quiet.
Why slag Nakamba off ? He never gave less than 100% when called upon.

To think Villa were a Championship team just a few years back. Now look at us. Incredible turnaround.
To be fair Luton have been a lot lower.

Gotta be patient and try break them down
Are the fans able to be patient ? It’s a good job we have been winning.

Head to head results count before goal difference in Europe
Thanks.

After tonight’s games we are shown on BBC as being second in the group. Out goal difference and goals scored are better than Legia. Is it because they beat us ?

No match report in the Guardian. Yet they have an article on the revenue of Man Utd. Newspapers of today have lost sight of what the game is all about.
It’s the Guardian. Also possibly an early edition

Not just in this thread but every match, why if anything goes wrong in a game is it one of our players fault and nothing to do with what the opposition players have done ? Yes we had a period in the second half when we were second best but that also coincided with the period when they stepped up and the crowd got going , it didn’t last long, was that because they became sloppy or because we upped our game again ?

Seriously? Or do you post like this regularly ?

How can someone rate the referee very poor ? Pathetic.

I think we can make several comfortable changes - the more obvious ones like Diego Carlos, Bailey and Dhuran if he's off the naughty step- I wouldn't be too surprised to see a couple more too - maybe Lenglet and Tielemans - but I don't see us really going much beyond that, I'd guess Traore would be the outsider.
We could really do with Ramsey and Moreno back - having to play so many first teamers as much as we are is going to have a really effect on us come February or March.
Why the fixation on making changes ? We need to win this to create some breathing space , we should also be able to play a few days later at home and deal with Luton and then move on from there. Our replacements as individuals are ok as a unit less so. We also need to forget about players that are unavailable, as far as February is concerned they will be on full power and filling in for injured or knackered teammates it’s the way a squad works

Go full strength and make changes if necessary against Luton. The first choice team are on a high and should be able to cope with both there is no point in qualifying for European football then not following it through. Given our.current home record we should be able to deal with Luton

@striker In regards to Luiz before the game ...
Most overrated player on here. Let’s see how he does against Prowse today?
Top post of the day . Take a bow sir.

I think we’ve been very decent. Lovely goal, Dougie is just pure class. Another assist for Ollie. Brilliant to see Villa Park as a fortress nowadays again. Konsa has been very good, handled Antonio brilliantly.
He’s not pure class, most overrated player on here apparently I saw it in the pre match thread. Or perhaps we have some complete d***s posting on here ?

Best finisher at the club. So many 1 touch goals
Can’t argue with that but she did waste a couple of chances on Sunday by shooting when others were in much better positions.

She offers little to the team on the pitch, when she appeared on the touchline before entering the play today the five young lads iin front all got their phones out and photographed (Arsenal fans) . Every time I go on Facebook she is there . Sadly we don’t get any points for her on Facebook.

There’s no denying they were trying, and it was nice to a number of them spent a lot of time with supporters at the end, Lucy Parker, Salmon and I think it was Leon in particular.
Back to the game, the feeling at the ground was it was inevitable once they had one they would get two. Yes the players had heart, put themselves on the line but unfortunately skill/technique just wasn’t there, we were very very poor with the ball when we had it - yes arsenal are a top 4 team, but they are/were today far from being the arsenal of old and themselves have been poor so far. We gave the ball away cheaply, Rachel Daly cut a very isolated figure, often gestering to teams mate (not sure if was frustration or a little more).
The injury time, is now the norm - but most I thought was justified, Rach Daly amd Corsie were down for fair chunks of time, plus dVD and Mas, in addition to subs 10-12mins was (in the way it’s managed these days about right)
A lot of last season was momentum, we need to get that win in the next few games - the season is short enough in games as it is.
Plus from today was Olivia MacCoughlin getting some minutes.
Just because someone’s opinion is different doesn’t make it ignorant
I agree with a lot of what you say and was at the ground. I’m not sure about Rachel, I think she could offer a bit more the arms have been waving since game one, yes she is isolated but midfield players under the cosh need a moving target that doesn’t happen often in my opinion.
By the way I have never mentioned ignorant that was another poster.

Something needed to change as Arsenal should have been level well before 90 minutes.
But they weren’t because of the resilience and determination of the team in front of them.

Was at a few games last year and two so far this year one thing that is very clear is the positive vibe amongst the supporters. It is very refreshing to watch games and not hear constant moaning when players / managers are deemed to have made mistakes. It is a shame that this cannot be transferred to villatalk where now after 3 close defeats to top level teams the same negative comments are being rolled out that you find in the men’s match day threads. The players today were definitely up against it but ran themselves to a standstill trying to defend the goal they scored against the run of play.. Lots of disappointment at the end but no moaning in the stands.

Full of promise but little obvious end product so far, if he is found guilty of breaking the rules get rid immediately if not carry on.

Just looking at the stats on FA website for one of our academy players Freya Hirons, she's another that we signed from Leicester, as well as playing for us she also plays for Narborough Foxes U15, in four appearances for them this season she has scored twenty-one goals and assisted another twenty-one, scored five in three games, and six in another, doing well for us too by the looks of it and also part of the England youth set-up.
Clearly a talented young player with those stats but looking at the league table, the team she plays in is obviously dominant ( it happens a lot in youth football the better players are drawn towards the top teams)and who knows what the future holds ? Left Leicester for Villa what happens when Chelsea, Arsenal , Man City/Utd or a variety of top European clubs start sniffing around ? Let her play and see what happens hopefully she will fulfill her potential at the highest level.

Thats simply OTT.
Constructive observation is healthy...not necessarily criticism.
Depends on how it’s written and a lot of comments are definitely not constructive

Yes definitely , his tenacity in pressing/ composure and clever passes to our strikers ..
Good player but inconsistent being put into ‘ the less he plays, the better he gets’ category. He has good days but there are plenty on here who have questioned his contributions over a number of games.

I wouldn't necessarily call being more vocal at calling out what you think to be a penalty claim, cheating
He clearly didn’t feel it was a penalty. Too focused on trying to score.
