  1. Although not sacked, it looks like a bid in the summer will tempt Newcastle to be rid of him. Purely hypothetical, but a realistic target. Lets say we could get him for £2 million, would you like to see O'Leary buy him?
  2. I'd like to see it put up for sale. If the wrong people bid or nobody bids....then I was right, if we get the right bid and Ellis goes, everybody's happy...win, win.
  3. Needs to be called Why we must beat Birmingham City....if you call them Vermingham or Small Heath, it won't get on their NewsNow and you won't get any bites.
  4. Eston, Richard, Drat, Rob.....this is most likeable player, not poster.
  5. Tony Adams battled drink (His own fault admittedly) to become a great player & captain. Gravesen is funny, if you've seen some of the clips of him you'll know this. Solskjaer is a great pro, sat on the bench, never moaned & always does the business. He rejected more money & a 1st team spot at Spurz. He also looks like he is about 12.
  6. BOF, I can't edit the poll. Will you add Stuart Pearce & Juninho....maybe an other option if any other names pop up.
  7. Ahem, we'll ignore that. We should have played 4 - 5 - 1. They had far too much room to do their stuff. If we had Berson in there, he would have put himself about.
  8. You're all looking from too much of a Villa attacking point of view. Don't forget Fabregas, Henry, Pires, Reyes, Ljunberg. A 4 - 5 - 1 makes it harder for them to score. Who cares about us scoring, I'll take a 0 - 0. Luke Moore can unsettle Cygan after 60 minutes, then we can pinch a goal.
  9. Arsenal have lost 4 games this season. Bolton, Man Utd X 2 & Liverpool. All of them play 5 man midfields. Vieira in particular hates playing against this, because he gets roughed up & has no time on the ball. On the other hand their defence is shocking, so should we pressure it by picking 2 strikers? Cygan is slow, so he wouldn't fancy playing against Moore.
  10. In case you're forgetting, I'm the most optimistic poster on here. Bluenose my arse. Most of you lot may as well be bluenoses considering the limited support you give the club.
  11. Straight, played, into, hands, my This was all under Ellis. No? Obviously Ellis isn't as bad after all, as we achieved all this under his chairmanship.
  12. 1890, 1900 & 1910 weren't it? Get over it, we've never been a footballing giant, just the odd victories here & there. We are the most forgettable european champions in England & we're not considered a big club by the media.
  13. 2nd time you've cracked that joke...might be the 3rd?
  14. I wondered why the Holte End was singing, Shit On The Villa, I see the Stretfrod End arising & There's only one Jose Mourinho, in the respective games.......!
  15. Drat, I'm really bored. Can't I just go? I've got shopping to do. I think the opposition are the main reason that 2,000 - 10,000 fans go to games. You disagree, leave it at that.
  16. I'm so patronised, please stop. That's because he's not one of the sheep, it's acceptable to argue with me, that's why so many people do it. I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS THE ONLY REASON, JUST ONE OF THE REASONS. Is it so hard to comprehend? 'Tard.
  17. Blues - 41,329 Sunday lunchtime, T.V Man Utd - 42,953 Monday night, T.V Chelsea - 36,691 Saturday lunchtime T.V Norwich - 38,172 No T.V Saturday 3:00PM Palace - 34,843 No T.V Saturday 3:00PM Pompey - 32,663 T.V Saturday lunch The top three were all played at none footballing hours really & were on T.V, yet on average were far higher. The other 3 were played at good hours, not on T.V, yet were on average lower. I'm right.
  18. Southampton - First game of the season, Beattie bid pending, new hope, high expectations........get my drift?
  19. That was the game where we gave Norwich extra tickets, so the attendance is distorted because of this. No?
  20. What other reasons? These fans may only be able to afford 5 games a season, so they choose to see the best 5 teams. This is as much about watching the opposition as it is about Aston Villa. No way am I wrong. Blackburn & Pompey....28,000. Man Utd & Arsenal....40,000. That is why I am not wrong.
  21. Can't be bothered to argue. You all keep deliberately misconstruing what I said by constantly quoting the 40,000 people go to watch Arsenal...I didn't mean all 40,000, but why should that stop ya? Where did I put that siamese twins/Brad Pitt picture?
  22. Bloody hell, do you want me to name the 6,000 people that choose the more glamorous games, individually?
