when takeover happens, I can see us making major investment within the first summer window. New Chairman, New Vision, hunger for a result. This will only convince Benteke of Clubs intentions and future, so I think we will see him in a Claret and Blue shirt for a longer period of time now....

The club will be sold very soon I could imagine. Thanks Randy; you gave us a few years of hope, few years of sadness, lets move on.

He can stiff a tone of coke for all I care in his free time; and I know he likes to party because he is friends with a girl I know. He is out in Michu in bham a lot.

The problem I see (and some fail to see) is that it isn't doing him any good, and he is not buying himself any friendliness from people that pay his wages. Get pissed, go for some hookers, but I for one don't want to see it. I pay 40 pounds every other week to see this guy. If he played as well as last season ; fair enough. But NOT after yesterday.

I knew I would get a reply like this; I am all for speculation, but lets use some evidence around us! Yes, there will be a takeover;

Evidence: Lerner statement, wage bill cut, Lambert statements

And yes, Lambert is gone;

Evidence: no more contract talks which were discussed mid Feb!

It means that there wasn't a buyer, but now there is! I promise, if there is no takeover, I will pay 20 of the worthy British Queens towards VT.

All I'm saying is, lets keep it INFORMED speculation!

I reckon the statement will say something like 'Gabby will be the next manager, and we will build a statue of JBowz outside the holte end.' we haven't got a clue, so why the uniformed speculation?

We can use evidence provided only, but God save us from 'I reckon'....

 

 

If PA was genuinely interested in buying Villa and also genuinely interested in investing hundreds of millions to turn us into competitors again, then why wait for Lerner to go through the pain of stripping out the high earners. Having a massive negative PL wouldn't affect his willingness to purchase us if he is the guy to pump millions into us.

Isn't it obvious why? If you're selling a club then you get the books in order. Villa are a blank canvas at the moment. Perfect for a take over. The last thing a new owner would want is to come in and sort out a high earners mess regardless of their wealth. You don't get that rich by needlessly spunking money away. Having almost no big contracts to pay off is a lot more inviting than being left with a financial mess.

Makes perfect sense to get the house in order.

 

 

Then, isn't it obvious that if the "new" owner was waiting for the current owner to get his house in order then he isn't going to be the one spunking millions on us turning us into title contenders?

 

If the "new" owner was waiting in the wings for a clear out then that tells me that we are going to have another Lerner in charge. Nothing spectacular, and nothing worth getting too exicted over.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'd be glad Lerner is leaving but all this hype and excitment is very premature IMO.

 

Let me put it this way then; would you rather buy a mess or a well run club?
