  1. No one has 'won' in this situation - neither of the clubs or the player...

I honestly though Hoolahan could've added something to our attack (but I'm not gutted we've not been able to sign him)

Fair play to Naaaarrrwich - they've stuck to their guns but have also retained the services of a disgruntled employee who I doubt will feature for them again before the season ends due to his comments and the clubs unwillingness to deal with AVFC (which does smack of pettiness)

I doubt we'll go back in for him in the Summer though - although he could be cheaper as he'll be in the Championship then ( ;) )

With ruddy Hughton at the helm you'll get no arguement from me on that. :(

You'll be going down even with Guardiola in charge

  2. Would have loved Zaha here. He is the Player Lambert went for on loan, but shit his pants at his salary. Which I think is 25K a week??

How do you know that or are you stating opinion as fact?

    Yes, do tell.

Someone else on here said it was Lescott?

No it was'nt Lescott, it would have been obvious he is earning way above we could afford. There's also a reason Moyes don't play Zaha, its not public knowledge but some of you may know.

    ....pray do tell ?

    Isn't he banging moyes daughter

    Gif?

  3. Well in terms of overrated managers (and I know a lot will go for Paul Lambert) GT has to be overrated for me

well...I'm aware that it's an opinion and you are entitled to it, but wow!!!

If we are talking Graham Taylor Mk1 he just about overhauled the club in his stay and put it on a sound footing, before departing for England....and brought in just about some of the best players in our history, for next to nothing, Platt,McGrath,Yorke,Neilsen

Interested, how you arrived at that call or did you forget to to type, lol.

Didn't GT also buy Crouch. Nobody understood that at the time.

    I know

  5. Guzan said: "I asked (Suarez) - because I was pretty confident in myself I hadn't touched him - 'Did I touch you?' and he said 'I don't know'.

How on earth can you answer," I don't know"?

Something must have made you fall over-was it the wind????!!!!!!

    Ha ha ha

Well how come Guzan didn't know if he touched him? It all happens to fast sometimes and at that pace you can just can't tell!

  7. Gabby really is Jekyll and Hyde. Let's hope he can be more consistent for the rest of the season.

BTW I said before the game on an FPL site that Liverpool would suffer reverting to 4-4-2 to accommodate Sturridge and that's exactly what happened so they didn't do themselves any favours from the start.

It's especially odd considering sturridge is very comfortable playing wide on the right. Why not play Moses coutinho and Sturridge with Suarez up top?

Moses? Have you seen him play for Liverpool lately? No because he's gash. Henderson and Sterling are above him in the pecking order. I thought Sterling would be dropped but they played Hendo in Lucas role and Cout was having a mare so Allen came in to DCM with Gerrard and Henderson pushed up.

Yes our midfield completely overran Gerrard and Lucas for the first 25 mins when we had our best spell.

Lucas was like invisible in the first half. Lol

  8. Taking into account our withdrawn financial position, spending as little as possible, making it impossible for us to compete with teams like WBA, Stoke and Norwich for players.

I would suggest we should be looking at the leagues in Hungary and Austria.

These leagues are full of young, hungry players, who have experience of playing Champions League, European football but, who would love to play in the 'best' league in the world.

Players like Phillipp Hosiner a 24 year old centre forward for Austria Vienna, who has scored 9 and creted 4 from 18 games.

Kevin Kampl a 23 year old attacking midfielder from Salzburg, who has scored 7 and created 10 from 17 games.

Patrik Hidi a 23 year old defensive midfielder from Honved, who has scored 3 and created 1 in 17 games.

Burgstaller a 24 year old leftwinger of Rapid Vienna, who can play right wing or centre forward as well and is into double figures this season.

Good shout Red Bull Salzburg have a few good players.

  9. Ooh Stig Tøfting the grass cutter

I always remember Tøfting from the world cup 2002, I bet he scared be-jeezus out of the opposition players.

I played a match against Tøfting when he returned to Denmark. As an older member of the team I rallied my team mates to get stuck in. None of my team mates tackled him. Too scared. Hard as nails.
