I just said to my mates if they cancelled all opening ceremonies at every sporting event from now on, would a single person give a shit?
To football? Absolutely not,it's absolutely **** pointless
Just waiting for a pepsi half time show at the final
Olympics though? I don't mind it, doesn't get in the way as it's the night before the event starts and it's a show that means something

But his attitude and personality stinks
He's just a kid, he'll get there
The numbers make far too much sense to say no to and and we've got Ollie and then Chelsea being a basket case club means same as chuk it'll be a terrible move for him but he'll be one thats a bit of a shame

I've gone for McGinn first GS tonight. Heart over the head, however, I honestly think Scotland might snatch a draw.
I'm going an utterly unconvincing 2-0 home win
Interested in musiala and wirtz, feels like Bellingham has already stepped up on the world stage but these 2 could star here (Germany will need them to...)
After that the tournament in general I think Simons, sesko, the 2 Portuguese CBs, lamal, Zaire emery, yildiz and guler, there's a few interesting youngsters

hard to tell, if they're getting non descript token sunday league catalogue kits every season then even if they're a weird thought in the adidas design team they're at least a thought
thats their away kit form last year
21/22 was this
the argument is that they're getting something better, it being different colours is the price they pay for it

If we're going to involve players in a deal for Duran, I think Maatsen and Chalobah could make sense.
colwill for me but id guess they value him higher

They just need new owners. Which they will get.
they just need new owners
a new CEO
a new DOF
a new manager
new players
a new academy
a new training ground
i mean its possible...we did it in 5 years from a lower starting position but again we could have gone a lot further backwards with gerrard, all of our success hinged on emery
the other thing that's important is that for them to get top 6 you would need a current top 6 team to drop out and I'm looking at it thinking city and arsenal will be fine, liverpool's drop wont be as bad as people think, spurs will be boring but still top 6, utd and chelsea will get better (!) so thats us brighton and newcastle, west ham will be interesting too and palace if they keep everyone could be alright....there's a lot of good teams up there for them to get better than

If they sort their ownership there is no reason they couldn't finish in the top 7 or 8 in the next few years and then push on to the top 6. Conversely, it's not hard to imagine us finishing between 6th and 8th at some point in that period, and that would make Everton a relatively close rival again.
They are certainly more of a potential threat than Kidderminster for example.
dont disagree with the 2nd bit as much as it pains me being from kiddy
but i dont agree with the fist bit, they need a top to bottom overhaul, to be fair newcastle showed what the wave of good times can do but i just dont see it under dyche and with that squad
for whatever reason, mainly everton being everton, i can also see them getting a member of the SA royal family in the same way that barnsley and sheffield utd or whoever it is has one
-
its Everton all over though isn't it, get the stadium and they will be alright, it makes them an attractive proposition and will fire them back in to the big time, they just need that big shiny new stadium, everything is the stadium
just don't look at the manager, or the squad, or the other areas they neglected while they were blinkered by the stadium such as the training ground and the academy....
they're 10 years behind us and that's assuming they make a lot of good decisions, which lets face it we made 1 or 2 massive decisions that we got spot on to the point where you could argue we were lucky

This paints the picture, it shows the legacy of pre FFP and also the money go round that Europe is. This is exactly why the rules have to change, you cant get the revenue without exposure and success, you cant get success without money, the rules dont let you spend enough to compete. Its supports the top 6 cartel.
Matchday and merchandising suck.
swiss ramble have a breakdown of the PL TV money (im guessing the above includes europe)
but that shows how they split it, equal share which is obvious, the facility fees which is a payment made per TV appearance and then the merit payment which is the prize money
mad that we have a "fair" financial system that is so blatantly designed to keep the top teams at the top, man city get £14m more than wolves per season because sky put man city on tv more but if wolves make some sound investment choices and run themselves well maybe one day they'll catch up with them...

Chelsea have Colwill on the home grown player up for sale list too
Linked with Bayern last couple of days but they bought Ito today and are close to signing Tah
Waiting for Zat to say absolutely not cos he's shit

As a side to that as well, the Nike one is Mbappe, haaland, vini jr and ronaldinho, that one's a bit moody and really disappointing imo compared to some of the classic Nike adverts
Mr record boot deal having a very quiet summer over at puma

Just weird that they used the Lampard ghost goal, and seemed to be showing him as a template of what Bellingham could become.
Here's a load of pressure lad, go out there and fail like all the other stars we've hyped up before.
Nah I took it as here's all of England's failings and past misery, the ghost goal being part of that , gazzas toe being part of that, and it being grey and miserable but then they flip it to celebrations and yeah no pressure lad go end all those years of suffering
The other thing I found weird was the gazza bit though, almost like using recent history but at the same time gazza was 96, Bellingham wasn't born

Why a token frank lampard? Weird advert.
Ex Adidas athlete wasn't he? So we Gerrard from memory but more so lampard cos of the whole 60 years of pain stuff
Becks is in there obviously, utd and arsenal as they have Adidas kits, stormzy, but what was that Ian Wright? That would be weird cos Ian Wright to me is a Nike footballer

That's crazy
He'll end up one the biggest players in the world

id see it
feels a bit spectacle-y and triggering a bit of FOMO
I actually felt the same with what I saw from Beyonces tour last year, I'm not a fan of the music but know a couple of songs, they feel like proper events

Worked with Howe at Bournemouth, centre back or full back
but is he any good? starter or a squad player?
i do find it mad that for a large part of last season newcastle's bench was full of players that was getting relegated under Bruce, not sure if its lascelles or krath they've moved on this summer

How do Chelsea do it with a stadium smaller than ours?
like i said in the Duran thread for a huge number of fans of a certain age Chelsea are the biggest team in england, they're living off the growth in the 00s at the time where Jose had them flying
its still not as lucky as spurs
when NBC gave the PL a monstrous push in the states they used bale as the face of it

not a clue how they manage to call themselves the project
Wrexham will be above them within the next 3 years

another effort from page 8 of the sunday league catalogue
I know its blues so I'm going to slate it, and I know that because of brand association they'd sell more of these shite efforts than if they had macron or kappa or UA or castore but seriously you can see how bad that material is from the photo, they get a terrible service
